Since the ipad has dynamic moving backgrounds isn't it possible to have a slideshow background?

IIt should be possible to have a slide show background since Apple does support the format so I think if we somehow can find the format they used and chge a slideshow to that format we should be able to make slideshow backgrounds? I hope.

Hey Boxman, I'm guessing lack of interest. Think about it, once the novelty wears thin, just how much time would or do you really spend looking at your home page? Me personally, just enough to find the app I need and push the button. Besides, isn't the battery life on your iPod short enough for you? Dynamic backgrounds are one of the first things you turn off to conserve battery life! That said, it would be kinda cool, for a little while anyway. I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. I am not crazy about using internet explorer, but right now, it is my only option. I even tried to start in safe mode, and the same message box pops up!

30 seconds to reconnect to a WiFi network is not unusual, especially in an environment where other radio signals on similar frequencies are present. Sorry about that.
You might get better times by letting the WiFi base station pick another channel. But you might not.

Have you tried resetting your iPad?

Sorry, not sure how to screenshot on my computer, but this is what is says word for word:-
The Ipad could not b synced because the computer is not longer authorised for purchased items that are on this ipad.
To authorise this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store, choose Store>Authorise this computer.
I have done all of that but not luck. That's when I tried deauthorising all computer which it did ok. I then authorised my Macbook pro again, it said I had one computer now authorised. I tried to delete apps via Itunes then sync to my iPad, but the above message keeps popping up & it wont do what I want.

The people trying to help are just other users like yourself & respond as they can & have the knowledge. I saw your post yesterday, but I was traveling & couldn't answer.
It is not at all clear what you have tried. Launch Pages on your iPad & tap the "+" to get the options to add documents then tap the iTunes icon. If you have added any Pages documents to iTunes you can then tap on it in the next screen to add it to Pages.

That was the first thing I check, my X no longer exist, the app still works fine and does everything it did in the past, the the x (delete) option is no longer there. I have deleted and redownloaded the app and did a complete reset, X still not there as an option. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

You can unlock it on another computer though the content will be wiped and I think that you need to put it into DFU mode e.g. see post https://discussions.apple.com/message/15385719#15385719 in thread https://discussions.apple.com/message/15385641#15385641 .

I didn't know you have an MBP. It doesn't have antivirus unless you added it, and the firewall is off by default. And iTunes on a Mac knows how to get around it. It's beginning to look like a hardware problem. Do you have another computer you can try to restore it with? Or an Apple store where you can make a genius appointment?
Do you have the latest version of iTunes (10.4). If you don't you should get a warning, so you probably do, but worth checking. You can try reinstalling iTunes; as it's a Mac you can just download and install over the old one.
What version of OS X? You need at least 10.5.4.
I asked about TinyUmbrella, but let's check anyway. Using textedit, open the file /etc/hosts. You may have to enter the file name directly, as it's hidden and you may not be able to browse to it. It should look like this:

If it has any other lines, especially lines that contains gs.apple.com, delete those lines and save the file. The Update should then work. I doubt that this is the problem, but we've tried all of the standard ways to fix it.
