As detailed in my question. I need help as my screen has been flickering or blanking out when I scroll my mouse or when I type. This has only started happening since the last 2 updates to Firefox.

Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.<br />
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.<br />

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. I have managed to get FireFox's start-up memory usage down to about 100,000K, however it appears that memory usage keeps creeping up the longer FireFox is open. (It seems to top out around 500,000K.) And I'm not talking open for many hours or days - but rather for minutes and possibly up to a couple hours. (Based on how long I've been fiddling with all this so far.)
On the plus side, it does not appear GreaseMonkey is the culprit since with it active or disabled this memory creep still occurs. Although having GreaseMonkey enabled definitely increases the rate of memory creep. Though once it has creeped up to 150,000+K, disabling GM does not make it drop back down to the starting 100,000K.
I should point out I run a MacBook Pro and use Bootcamp to partition the hard drive and run it as a Windows 7 PC about half the time. I am running it literally as a PC or, alternately, as a Mac depending on which hard drive I choose to load. (I'm not "windowing" it.) This problem exists regardless of whether I am using the PC or the Mac. These repairs have been made currently on the PC side, and I will attempt them all again on the Mac side. I find it odd that this enormous memory drain has occurred on 3 different computers at the same time. (The two "halves" of my home laptop as well as the PC at my work place.)

Since last update to firefox, my bookmarks are all listed but when I click on them, it will do nothing.

I have 2 computers. Since the last update the one computer when I pull up bookmarks and click on the bookmarks it will do nothing, the other computer works fine. Both of them use Windiws 7 Home Premium.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

When I reopen the program, it either goes to the pages that closed or I get a "embarrassed" do I want to start new session or restore. Since I downloaded the last update for Firefox, it freezes and I have to force quit.

Once I force quit, everything works fine until I open Firefox again.

The default of "Use system proxy settings" should piggyback on your Windows/IE "LAN" settings, but you also can try "No proxy" to see whether that works any better.
I want to explore the potential secure site issue in more depth. If you open Google in IE and click the padlock icon in the address bar, then View Certificate, what information do you find in the Issuer/Issued by section?
A couple other general things you might not have tried, which address possible corruption in settings files (your profile folder), and possible problems in your Firefox program folder.

Home page always opens to bank of america website since my last update of firefox.

since my update of firefox 1 day ago, whenever I open a new page it always opens to the bankofamerica.com website. I am not a customer of theirs and have no intrest in using there site as my homepage. I have tried the old method as well as the new drag and drop method to change the homepage but it will not work.

I had this problem, too. Setting your homepage to "blank" won't do it, because none of your account settings will save when you close your browser. You will need to COMPLETELY uninstall Firefox and reinstall a whole new copy. Save your bookmarks in a word doc so you can get them back later.
I know it's a pain, and maybe someone will eventually figure out a better fix, but this works.

Yesterday March 2, 2011, Firefox updated itself....Now I can't play Pogo games....I want to undo the update and remove the new Adobe reader Firefox said I needed so that I can play Pogo games again....everything was fine until the update.

Mozilla are aware of the issue in Firefox 3.6.14 and are working on a fix, no timescale but they are planning on a quick release. Firefox 3.6.15 will fix the issue with some Java applets not working, which has caused many Pogo games to stop functioning.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information such as bookmarks and History.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Also try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.

Are you viewing it in Artist view or Album view? In Album view, it should still list albums by artist name, then album name. If you're in Album view, you might be looking for Artist view.
