My battery is lasting much less since the last update

the install of a new iOS can cause some of your settings to change
for example it may default your Bluetooth to ON, but if you are not using any bluetooth devices (wireless keyboard, earphones) then you should change this setting to OFF which will save battery power
also turn off pushing wherever you can,
reduce the frequency of Fetching for your Mail accounts, or set them to manual,
turn off background app refresh
consider turning off Location services
consider reducing you screen brightness

HT1338 Since my last update to Itunes the application refuses to close

Since my last update to Itunes the application refuses to close and slowly locks my laptop until I reboot. When I reboot it reloads all of my email deleted all day and sometimes the day prior. I have run disk utilities repair disk permissions. This works for a short and the whole thing starts all over again. Does any on have any hints?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

It isn't the fw in Network you want o use or look at, that's for something completely different.
My first suspect is the Power Adapter on the LaCie has gone.
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac, then click on More Info, then click on Hardware>Firewire, what is listed there?
Reset the Firewire bus
If your Firewire or USB isn't recognizing any device. A solution which has worked for some whose hard drive became invisible in 10.4 was simply to follow these four steps to reset the Firewire/USB bus:
1. Shut the machine down.
2. UNPLUG the power lead to the computer and any firewire/USB drive or devices.
3. leave it for 10 minutes.
4. Connect back up and reboot.

Thanks for that 'sberman' - because my iPhone is backed-up to my work computer (only at this stage) I have had to call our IT Department in Adleaide. (4 times this morning). The last guy managed to get the phone into 'DFU Mode' - no more recovery mode screen - (kind of 'asleep' perhaps) from my understanding of same. I am awaiting a call again from IT so they can get my computer to actually recognise my iPhone on the C Drive. This also happened to one of my colleagues in Newman (WA). She got so frustrated with the whole process that she bought another phone the next time she was in 'civilisation.' She hasn't had any problems since. (Cross fingers).

Since my last update i can't use CC 2014 no more. The Performance is to slow. For example: If i use the select tool, the select process takes a long time.

In order to resolve the issue if it occurs again, more info would be helpful as to what occurred prior to the "hang." One potential fix would be to try a Safe Boot:
After the Mac is completely shut down, push the power button and immediately after the startup tone, hold down the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
There should be a message that says "SafeBoot." After the Mac is completely booted, try restarting and see if the issue is gone.

If you can hide the status bar, it would be an option inside the app. I have one or two apps where that is an option but in most apps it is not.

I have had my iPhone 4s for a few months and the battery life was really good. Then around the same time I updated to ISO6 and I dropped it on the floor and since the battery life has been poor lasting only a few hours. Does anyone know why this is?

I don't know why the battery life has just become so poor. I can listen to 1 song and lose 1/2% battery life. I had all the settings the same as before updating to ISO6 and now it just goes. I did drop it around the same time but I have a stong case so I don't see how this should effect it. If anyone knows how to fix it would be a great help because I used to love iPod but I am very dissapointed.
