I am using MobileMe on my Mac. Until the last update a few days ago, Firefox always allowed me to attach files to my emails. Now, when I click on the paper clip, and it takes to me find the file I want to attach, and I highlight the file I want to attach and click on 'open', nothing at all happens. the screen just goes back to my email. It always worked before, it does not now. It DOES work on Safari but I hate Safari, i want to use firefox.

SPGridView - sorting Dates doesn't work properly & how to display the title column as link?

I've got a SPGridView that is being filled with data from several lists. Some of them are a date-field and a title-field. I already added sorting, paging and filtering options and at first look they seem to work fine. But now I noticed that sorting dates
doesn't work as expected. If I select ascending sorting, the result is something like this:

This isn't what I want obviously.
I just added the EventReceiver for the sorting like it is shown in several tutorials:

And my second problem is how to add a link to the title column. In my grid I'm displaying tasks from different lists and I want to link the title to the related task. I stumbled accross HyperLinkFields and tried this:

Create calculated column.
Insert following formula -

Set "data type returned from this formula is" to integer.
As a result on list view you will see the title with link to your url.
UPD: It seems that URL field is not valid for calculated column, as workaround you can copy url value in a receiver into the another text field, which is not shown on the view.

if the two suggestions from above don't help, please also have a look at your security-software & make sure it's not blocking/sandboxing the updated version of firefox or the plugin-container... -

Again, this only affects you if someone *redownloaded* content with a different ID. In my case, I emailed iTunes Store support, explained the situation, and they reset the counter. I recommend you try the same
If you read discussion boards, this is a significant change from a year ago, when Apple told people in the same situation to go f&$# themselves. Clearly it's dawning on them that this is a stupid policy, and my guess is if people keep complaining they'll change it to something more reasonable. Remember, it wasn't that long ago you couldn't re-download content at all.
Apple can't really afford to play hardball on this. Sure, the hardcore fanboys will always say "Thank you sir, may I have another" whatever Apple throws at them, but the rest of us will just switch to Amazon, which has none of these restrictions. -
Album Shuffle Doesn't Work Properly When Albums Have The Same Name
I'm using the latest versions of iTunes 7.0.2 and 5.5G iPod v1.2.1, but this problem has existed in (as far as I know) all iPods to date. It certainly still continues to occur on the latest iPod.
Example of the problem: I have many Albums by different Artists. I listen to them on my iPod by using "Album Shuffle" which plays the contents of an album in sequential order, but successive albums in random order. This is good when it works. However, iTunes and iPod have a problem when more than 1 album has the same name. So, let's say you have 3 albums by 3 different groups (Band A, B, and C), all called "Greatest Hits". The expected behaviour is that "Greatest Hits by Band A will play tracks 1-10, then another random album, and then sometime later, the album "Greatest Hits" by Band C will play tracks 1-15. That would be good, but this does not happen. Here's what actually happens:

Some Album / Band X / Track 15
Some Album / Band X / Track 16
Greatest Hits / Band A / Track 1
Greatest Hits / Band B / Track 1
Greatest Hits / Band C / Track 1

As you can see, the iPod treats all 3 "Greatest Hits" as one humungous album. Now, until version 7, even iTunes appeared to be pretty confused about this, but with the latest version added the "Album Artist" tag (which I've applied correctly to all tracks in my Library), so that it can identify albums as separate entities properly, even if they have the same name. (This was necessary for Cover Flow to work.) Sadly, this logic has not made it to the iPod, and we still have the crazy playback situation above.
Since the first day I bought my first iPod back in 2002, I've always used Album Shuffle, and this has always been a problem. I was surprised to find that even the latest iPod still hasn't fixed this, even though iTunes seems to have. Apple, please could you fix this?

Since I last updated ATV my own tv no longer supports my ATV. On my HDMI channel it is picking up different Hz levels ranging from 18 Hz to 180 Hz when ATV is plugged in. A few times some white lines have appeared on the screen as though it is trying to connect. I have tested a different HDMI chord and that didn't have any effect and I've reset my Wi-if router. My tv still supports my bluray DVD player through the HDMI port. I want to update my ATV as I think that will fix the problem, but I can't see the menu on the tv to do so. Is there any way I can do this via iTunes or iPad?
What TV are you using? Did you try switching ports?

Since the last update I have been unable to print from Firefox. No problem printing from Safari or any other program. I've seen a few responses to this problem but only to people running Windows. I'm on a Mac running v. 10.5.8.
Also when I click on the link in my email to activate my account (in the hopes that a solve will be emailed to me) I get this message -

Since the last update to Firefox, I have had crashes non stop about every ten minutes or so, with very typical use. The update SUCKS and is crashing computers. I am SURE I am not the only one. Since the last update of Firefox I’ve a real problem. While Firefox is running or in use my Laptop total freezes. I was working a Word document and my laptop stops cold. The resource tool stops and nothing works. I have to power off my laptop to get around this. This has occurs numerous time and started after the last update to Firefox. I did install Skpe recently. My configuration is as follows:

I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)

so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. since the last update a few days ago of firefox, the time has been 25 to 35 seconds to enter bookmarks or even the time it takes to page down when it used to take a few seconds. can you tell me why it taking so long since the update on firefox. may another update is in order.

I have managed to get FireFox's start-up memory usage down to about 100,000K, however it appears that memory usage keeps creeping up the longer FireFox is open. (It seems to top out around 500,000K.) And I'm not talking open for many hours or days - but rather for minutes and possibly up to a couple hours. (Based on how long I've been fiddling with all this so far.)
On the plus side, it does not appear GreaseMonkey is the culprit since with it active or disabled this memory creep still occurs. Although having GreaseMonkey enabled definitely increases the rate of memory creep. Though once it has creeped up to 150,000+K, disabling GM does not make it drop back down to the starting 100,000K.
I should point out I run a MacBook Pro and use Bootcamp to partition the hard drive and run it as a Windows 7 PC about half the time. I am running it literally as a PC or, alternately, as a Mac depending on which hard drive I choose to load. (I'm not "windowing" it.) This problem exists regardless of whether I am using the PC or the Mac. These repairs have been made currently on the PC side, and I will attempt them all again on the Mac side. I find it odd that this enormous memory drain has occurred on 3 different computers at the same time. (The two "halves" of my home laptop as well as the PC at my work place.) -
Since the last update, whenever I close and reopen Firefox, my default search engine changes back to Google. I have to manually change it back to my preferred engine. Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, how can I permanently change my search provider, instead of having to manually change it again every time I start Firefox?
You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.
