Since the most recent update (as of 7-24-10), Firefox will not load and clicking anywhere on the page brings up a "This Program is Not Responding" notice.
I've tried removing and re-adding Firefox to McAfee's program permissions. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. Neither solved the problem.

Are there any notification icons on the left end of the address bar? If so, please click them to see whether they related to security issues (such as blocked content - shield icon: [[How does content that isn't secure affect my safety?]]) or a plugin requiring permission (Lego-like icon).
Does Think Central have any help pages about this issue? Without an account, it is difficult to explore the issue first-hand.

When I installed the recent updates for Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, my iCal calendar was wiped out, as was the calendar on my iPhone. I'd rather use iCal than Office and was attempting to phase Office out altogether. Now, all of my information is on the Office calendar but not iCal. The iCloud version of my iCal calendar is not up to date. In any event, I couldn't figure out how to send that info to the iCal on my mac or my phone. How can I sync my Office calendar info to iCal? If that's not possible, how can I get my Office calendar to sync with my iPhone? All of my sync services are set up in iTunes and on my phone. This happened to me once before and I spent hours on the phone with Apple and on the web trying to work it out. I NEED MY CALENDAR!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!

The other concern I have is that Office 2011 requires an Intel-based Mac and you posted in the older iMac (pre-Intel or "PPC") forums. I opened Firefox yesterday morning, and it asked me to wait while it updated. When it was done, I was asked whether I wanted to enable "XUL Cache 1.0". It looked official enough, so I enabled it. Almost every time I clicked on a web link from a Google search, I was re-directed to websites like the Yellow Pages or a "Local Look-up" site. In desperation, I disabled the XUL cache extension, restarted Firefox, and things seemed fine. This morning and a couple times this afternoon however, I've been redirected to the wrong sites again. It isn't as prevalent as it was yesterday, but it is still there.

Firefox update and none of my plug-ins were working till I went and changed them from Ask to Activate to Always Activate. This Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in says it needs to be updated but when I try it does not update. It returns to the same need to update screen. There is a problem with your latest update.
I did try to update the plug-in. I would not. I fixed the problem by uninstalling the new firefox and downloading an older version and making sure it didn't install the maintenance program. This keeps it from updating. I even tried the 31 beta firefox and it set all plug-ins to ask to activate. Until you can fix this problem I will remain using the older version that works properly.

Hello All, yesterday afternoon I just lost all recent updates to my iCal from the last days. How can this possibly happen ??? It may have occured after I chose the Refresh function after I had problems searching my iCal for a particular event. I think my iPhone was also not properly synched in the morning but I didn't pay it much attention and opened iCal on my MacBookAir instead.
How can I prevent this from happening again?
What can I do to restore iCal with the most recent updates?Random glitch. It doesn't matter; if you didn't backup the data, then you can't recover the data.
In the future, for any 'important' data, back up that data regularly. Forward the 'important' text messages to your email. Trasnfer your photos & videos to your computer, etcetera. -
Since updating my iphone 4s to the most recent update it will no longer connect to the wifi at work, where I am not a network administrator and do not have privliges to reset passwords and turn the routers on and off. Any other suggestions for re-connecting? I have never had a problem before and can still connect to other networks i am a part of...
Try Resetting your iPad: Hold down the sleep and home buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.

I can no longer connect my iPad mini to a tv via an cdmi cable since the most recent update.
I connect my iPad mini to a tv via a hdmi cable. Since the most recent update for the iPad, it no longer connects to the tv with I plug in the cable. The cable works for my iPhone and my husband's iPad (also an iPad mini). Is there a setting that I need to change to fix this?

(skip to "I'll break down the problem as best as i can" to avoid rant )
Essentially, we have near a hundred eLearning courses we have made using captivate dating back as early as captivate 4. We have been upgrading through the versions as we go and where there has always been little glitches that present themselves this one makes the list sense. This isn't even an upgrade in version, just a little patch (that seemed to add the ability to resize the "Question X of Y" bits on question slides).
So, does anyone have any help on this problem? Adobe have been so far not very helpful, essentially offering the wisdom and clarity that comes with years of not trying to fix problems. Their advice being to basically remake each course from the ground up, something that will take a LOT of time (and for what!? to fix their mistake?).
I'll break down the problem as best as i can:
Since recent patch to captivate, pre-existing files that we publish again will not display on windows computers but does display on Ipad's, etc. Uploading to a server does not fix the problem, it remains the same. The internet window opens up the same as normal but after a brief loading bar moment, the window remains blank. A check of the code shows that the files are being loaded but simply not displaying in any form. If we publish a completely new file, it displays fine. The type of browser has no impact on the problem. We have also found that if we go into the console and use a command to skip to, say, the second frame, it works!? So the issue literally seems to be with displaying in the first place.
Thanks in advance if anyone can even help suggest ways to get round this problem, it has come at a terrible time when we need to make changes and present material to another company but can't even view our publishes files.The most recent update (to Captivate 7.0.1.237) changed the default autoplay setting for all of our courses to on. Since we haven't changed any settings personally it was easy overlooked, and the autoplay function just doesn't seem to work.
I tried running cpCmndGotoSlide = 2 in the web developer console and it caused the course to start up, making me realise that the course was indeed loading (I saw that some of the content was loading on firebug but was unsure as to if it was the crucial files) but just not playing and I noticed while investigating that.
So its just a case of turning off autoplay for the course in the publish settings.
Also as a note our courses were still working on iPad, I think this is due to apple products not supporting the autoplay of content, especially if it has audio. -
Since my daughter downloaded the most recent update, she cannot use Imessage or facetime. We reset the phone and this didn't help. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Since I primarily use Google Calendars, I need to see my Gcalendars on my IPad and could until I added the most recent update of IOS6.0.1 and now they are gone. I was told by Apple sales people when converting to Apple products IPHONE, MACBOOK PRO and IPAD that they were competely compatible with Google calendars, contacts and mail. It seems there is a push to force people to use ICloud which I for many reasons won't use. Primarily, I have eight calendars in my Google account that I need to see on my IPAD and IPHONe for business. Why would this not be available to google users anymore? Also not being able to invite attendees when creating calendar events is also very limiting. Come On Apple, give people free access to their information from all their devices.

I'm starting to serihously think this phone has been jailbroken... I've got a senior technical support advisor at Apple who is working on the case. He has gone through everything he can possibly think of, but won't take "no" for an answer.
At the moment, he has logged everything with the Engineering Department, who is going to look into it further using the IMEI number and see what they come up with. If worse comes to worse, Apple will apparently replace the phone for a fee. The problem is that it is 800+ days out of warranty...
Anyway, we'll see how we go. If anybody has got any ideas about this, please continue to provide answers. I appreciate all responses -

We love the normal apple usage...but, since your hardware and software are so stringently ruled...I have some expectations on the fact that it will actually work after the updates.
Customer service outside the apple store has been suspect for some time.
Please step up here, we've invested quite a lot in you, and we're feeling a bit let down at the moment.
No notice, no warnings, for all the messages you do send out, "hey the stuff you bought from us and can only play it back on us isn't going to be working for a while"...would be nice.

i just tried to install the 11.4 update (or whichever one is the most recent update as of 1/26/2014) and when it failed i tried to install manually and now whenever i try to use it, i get the following error: "The application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Right after i click ok i then get this error: "Itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall Itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)." I tried to uninstall Itunes and then reinstall the 11.03 version but that didnt work either. I want to know if i copy all of the music in my itunes folder to an external without consolidating can i still transfer all my itunes music from my current windows xp pc to a brand new one and have my current itunes library in my new pc? Basically i just want to know 3 things: What exactly does consolidating the itunes library do? Can i copy, paste, and transfer my itunes library to an external and from there to a new pc? Will i be able to transfer my itunes library without consolidating the files?
I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). Downloading images used to go automatically to the last folder used to save images, even when reopening Firefox. In just the past few days, possibly coinciding wih the most recent updates, the folder defaults to the 'Downloads' folder. This is most annoying. What happened? Internet Explorer 8.0 did the same thing. This was one of the reasons why I started using Firefox to download all images. I went into Tools>Options and it only lets me set another folder. I dont want to set a specific folder I want it to always go to the last folder used. So what gives?

So something in the Firefox code was causing the bad behavior. It's not essential that I find out what the problem was - I'm just curious. And if anybody else has this same problem, it might be nice to have it corrected at the source. -

The app store always gives you the option to use a previous version of the app IF it is available for your device.

"New" iPad display "ghosting"/"image retention"
My "new" iPad/ipad3 is experiencing intermittent "ghosting" or what apple is calling "image retention:" some elements of a previous image on the display remain faintly even after the display changes. The retained image does not have to be on the scr
