Since there's no custom ringback tones...

I know people keep asking for custom ringback tones and you won't do it, but I would love if you a.) get the rights to use the song "Before my body is dry" from Kill la Kill as a ringback tone. like just start the ring back tone from the part where it's like "don't lose your way" or b.) have people pay something to be allowed to use custom ringback tones but PLEASE I NEED this ring back tone. Honestly I'd pay anything (reasonable) just to use this as my ringback tone.

Verizon adds an announcement that says something like "Please enjoy the music while your party is reached" and then it plays the ringback.
Since you,as the phone owner, never hear the ringback, but everyone who calls you hears it, I'd want to make sure its a song that everyone enjoys.  That's nearly impossible, and I can't see paying money to force all my callers to listen t MY choice of music.  But that's just me....  and to the OP, The1337Brony, all you can do is request that Verizon add the clip to their library of tunes available for ringbacks.

  • Is there additional ring tones? or How to make custom ring tones?

    Hi,
I am thinking about adding additional ring tones.
Is there any site I can download the ringtones for cisco 7940, 7960, 7940G, 7960G?
    or
Can I make custom ring tones by myself?
If there is an application to do the ring tones, pls anyone let me know?
    thanks

    Hi San,
Just to add a note to the great tips from Ingo and Bethany (+5 points each folks for your nice work here :)
    Here we go :)
PCM File Requirements for Custom Ring Types
The PCM files for the rings must meet the following requirements for proper playback on Cisco Unified IP Phones:
    •Raw PCM (no header)
    •8000 samples per second
    •8 bits per sample
    •uLaw compression
    •Maximum ring size-16080 samples
    •Minimum ring size-240 samples
•Number of samples in the ring is evenly divisible by 240.
•Ring starts and ends at the zero crossing.
•To create PCM files for custom phone rings, you can use any standard audio editing packages that support these file format requirements.
    Configuring a Custom Phone Ring
To create custom phone rings for the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7965G and 7945G, follow these steps:
    Procedure
Step 1 Create a PCM file for each custom ring (one ring per file). Ensure the PCM files comply with the format guidelines that are listed in the "PCM File Requirements for Custom Ring Types" section.
Step 2 Upload the new PCM files that you created to the Cisco TFTP server for each Cisco Unified Communications Manager in your cluster. For more information, see the "Software Upgrades" chapter in Cisco Unified Communications Operating System Administration Guide.
Step 3 Use a text editor to edit the Ringlist.xml file. See the "Ringlist.xml File Format Requirements" section for information about how to format this file and for a sample Ringlist.xml file.
Step 4 Save your modifications and close the Ringlist.xml file.
Step 5 To cache the new Ringlist.xml file, stop and start the TFTP service by using Cisco Unified Serviceability or disable and re-enable the "Enable Caching of Constant and Bin Files at Startup" TFTP service parameter (located in the Advanced Service Parameters).

  • Ringback Tone not heard in Arc Connect queue

    Hi All,
Got a strange problem thats been ongoing for a while now.
Our customer has recently migrated to SIP and since this point I am having to force the external ringback tone using command disable-early media 180. In addition they have an Arc connect solution which now when transferring callers into the queues and then being passed to an agent, they do not hear ringback there is just silence. In queue messages and MOH is heard within the queue.
I'm pretty sure this is a DTMF issue but I have tried everything to rectify this with no luck.
We are unable to create a SIP trunk to the CUBE as CUCM 7.1.2 does not support this hence h323 gateway.
The flow is as follows :-
    SIP > CUBE > h323 > CUCM > Arc
    CUCM Version :- 7.1.2
    Arc Version :- 5.1.0.403
    I've attached sanitised config.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Cheers

You most likely right by saying this is DTMF related, I had a similar issue in the past, going H323<>SIP on a CUBE and played with the dtmf settings on the dial peers, and ended up with:
    dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric rtp-nte

  • An error message everytime I try to buy a ringback tone

there is a problem with the ring back tone  keeps on popping up error message

Have you  activated the Advanced Calling feature?  That and ringback tones don't get along, and ringback tones are unable to be used if you have that feature.
If that isn't the issue, then call customer service and see if they can figure it out - 800-922-0204 or *611 from your handset.

  • Ringback tones volume

Even if someone can turn down their volume, they've already been assaulted by the sound.  I've gotten so many complaints since turning this on, I just canceled the ringback tone service.  Obviously this is a problem with over 2,000 inquiries, think it might be time to find a solution Verizon?

Just bought my first ringback tone. Called my phone from another phone and it sounds like crap. It is way too loud. I'm seriously regretting signing up for this service since it seems there is no way to adjust the volume. It should not be left to the caller to adjust the volume; this should be something the purchaser can control. Very disappointed.

  • How do I remove a ringback tone?

How do I remove a ringback tone from a Samsung Mini device?

Log on to your account at verizonwireless.com, Go to My Verizon...then My Account...then Manage my Products and Apps.  Scroll down till you see Ringback tones and you can manage them from there.
You can also call customer service and request that they help you too - 800-922-0204, option 4, then say "Agent" at the voice prompt.

  • Ringback tone announcement

I really do not like hearing someone's ringback tone being announced when I call them and I equally do not like my Verizon Ringback tone app announcing it either.
I prefer having the same control over my ringback tone application in the same way that I have control over my ringtone announcements.
What can I do to change this setup in my droid?

My contract with Verizon has expired, I am considering whether to keep the
phone I currently have or renew my contract and upgrade to a newer version
of a droid, get an Apple iPhone or some other newer technology.
I have 2 other cell phones on my account that are also eligible for
upgrade. I spend what Verizon may think is not a lot of money but to me it
is a significant amount for 3 cell phones, and Verizon's services.
I have been in sales long enough to know that:
    1) The customer is ALWAYS right.
    2) That reminds me, the CUSTOMER is always right.
    3) Did I mention that the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!
When a sales person tell me that "That's just the way it is".
That tells me a few things about that person and the company he or she
    works for:
    1) They did not hear a word I said
    2) They have no interest in hearing what I said.
    3) What he or she is really telling me is:
We really don't care. Take your business elsewhere.
I get a 20% discount because of the company I work for, who has an account
with at least one other cell phone provider.
I can take my business some where else if it pleases Verizon who seems to
have no interest in listening to my concerns.
    No that's OK, I understand. I recognize that you're a representative of
Verizon and you're just doing you job.
Now I have a choice to make.  I'm going to go to my local Verizon store and
give them an opportunity to hear me. If they can't or won't, that will seal
    my decision.
Verizon has a number great services and products that I like and have
enjoyed but consumer loyalty is very thin and it only takes one issue for
the consumer to recognize, there is a need for a change.

  • Different alerts for email and sms messages for a contact with custom ring tone

    Hello,
    I have a Curve 8530 with OS 5.0.0.395.
I have my default sound profile set up to play one type of alert sound when I receive and email message and another when I receive an SMS message (so I know the difference without looking at my phone). That works fine except for contacts that I also have a custom ring tone set up for. It seems that under the Custom Ring Tones/Alerts section of the contact there is only one entry for Messages and it applies to both email and SMS. If I have the contact's message alerts set to the alert I have for email, then their SMS messages play the same alert and I might think it's an email. Or if I have the messages alerts set to the SMS alert sound then their emails sound like SMS messages. Is there a way to have a custom ring tone set up for a contact but still allow their emails and SMS messgaes to follow the current sound profile's settings?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Have you had any luck resolving this issue. I had a 8230 and this was possible. But like you I can get the 8530 to work. If you found the solution, please let me know.

  • Every time I sync my iphone 4 with itunes my ring custom ring tones change.  I have 7 custom ring tones in itunes.  One time it will load 1 custom ring tone the next it may be 3 then the next it is one again.  The last time it gave me 4 of the 7.

Every time I sync my iPhone 4 with iTunes the number of my custom ring tones change.  I have 7 custom ring tones listed.   The first time it will load 1 of the ring tones and the next time it will load 3,  The next time it will be back to 1.  If I have assigned one of the custom ring tones and it does not get loaded it goes back to the ring tone that came with the phone.  The last time itunes gave me 4 of the 7 so I have not tried to sync it again.  I am using iTunes 10 (10.4.10), and windows 7.
Has anyone else had this problem??
Any ideas to what I need to do??

Have you ever had all 7 of them synced before? Are these ringtones you made yourself? Is there a chance they could exceed 30 seconds in length? Is there a chance you have moved the original file location on the computer? May need the answers to a couple more questions to try and determine an answer.

I am wanting in input audio to a MacBook Pro  running 10.9.4.  Since there is only the internal microphone as an input choice, how do I accomplish this?

Not something I've ever done, but I found a 9-year-old article from MacWorld -> http://www.macworld.com/article/1041790/tapetocd.html - that explains it a bit. Apparently the only software that you need is GarageBand and a hardware interface. Just Google "copy audio cassette to mac" and you'll get tons of hits.

  • Ringback tone issue on outbound call with full E.164 number between 2 sites

    Hi there.
We have been encounting issue where site A calling site B with full E.164 number users expereiencing no ringback tone on caller while phone is ringing on site B.
In CUCM, Route Pattern is configured to use TEHO for long distance call. For instance, if site A dial site B with full number with area code, call should be sending out via site B VG.
It was working fine until recently, there is no change made on VG nor in CUCM.
I have attached dial-peer config of site B, should i add below subcommand under all dial-peer # pots?

Yes I have expereinced this too..Even when you call an external number and the user rejects the call, you hear a normal ringback tone over sip trunks..I think the issue is that the ITSP sends a 183 session progress or 180 ringing even before knowing what the state of the called device is..
You can send us a debug ccsip messages for a test call and we will be able to know exactly what is going on

I have purchased a ringback tone for my 5c but cannot figure out how to assign it to my specific phone? we have three phones on our contract. any suggestions?

Each line needs to have it's own login and password for managing ringbacks and ringtone purchases, and backup and cloud services.
Register each number on the account for it's own username and password, and make the ringback purchase under that login. If it's already purchased under a different number, call customer service and they can straighten it out for you.

  • I have the Galaxy S5 and I purchased a ringtone/ringback tone jukebox and I can not find my ringtone download because when I went to click on download it came up that message had timed out.

Wondering how to retrieve my ringtone without having to pay for it again.

Did you purchase a ringtone?  Or a ringBACK tone?  They are two different things, and ringbacks are not downloaded to your phone, but managed on line via MyVerizon.
If you purchased a ringtone, and the download did not occur, you can log on to MyVerizon and go to My Media, and it should be available to re-send to your phone.
If not, call customer service, 800-922-0204, choose option 4, say "Agent" at the prompt, and you will be connected to a live person who can get this sorted for you, (When I called this morning I had NO hold time at all - I was connected immediately).

  • Help! Custom Ring tones

Hi there wonder if anybody can help me!
Trying to set custom ringtones for individuals on my contact list.
Firstly going to Address book and selecting the contact I want to custom ring tone. Then pressing the menu button and selecting the Add custom ringtone option. But this does not give me an option of selecting a ring tone from my media card. The only option I get is pre loaded ringtones which I do not want to use....

    Check the link below:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&message.id=...
there is instruction how to setup your desktop pc and blackberry device to recognize media-sd card installed on your blackberry as an external flash-drive on desktop computer.
After your device with media card inside recognized as flash drive transfer mp3 files to Blackberry/ringtones folder of that external flash drive.
And after that these mp3 files will be available to set'em as custom ringtones in Address Book.
