since i updated my blackberry app world my facebook app wont work? any ideas why?

Since updating AppWorld has nothing to do with the Facebook app there is no way to know why your Facebook app won't work. Did you update anything else after updating Appworld? Do you have a BB data plan on your account? This isn't always necessary any more but either wifi or some type of data plan is required for the apps to work..

App World & Facebook App disappeared

After updating App World & Facebook App, both apps are disappeared from the device, showing in the application management but both applications icon are disappeared from the main list and if I am dowloading them again message appearing that the application already exist. Is anyone can help me to fix this issue?

Then you will need to make a backup of your device using the Desktop Software. Once you make the backup you will need to wipe the device. After you wipe the device see if those applications show up. If they do then something in your device settings is affecting the display of those icons. You can then use the Desktop Software to selectively restore just the important databases like messages, calendar, contacts, etc. Don't do a full restore as you may end up with the same problem.

It doesn't appear to affect every 4S. I don't know if theres specific batches it affects or maybe its location based, but i have a friend who has the same phone as me and theirs did exactly the same thing only after doing the firmware update. I'm pretty confident it is a bug. Looking around on google, it seems like its happening to a lot of other 4S users.
I have done a settings reset, didn't fix it. Did a settings and content reset, didn't fix it. Did a full recovery back to the backup i did when i first purchased it, didn't fix it. None of these things changes the firmware.
I am pretty appalled that apple would release a firmware upgrade with such an obvious problem for 4S users. Did they not test it first? Now i am finding multiple texts from people asking me things hours after they messaged me because the sounds don't work. Not impressed.

Many users have solved the problem by syncing several times; and if that doesn't work, perform a simple restore. Your titles will come back.

I too had exact issue what you were experienced, then I went to Apple autorised service center and submitted my earpods, their it worked with all versions of Apple iphones, but it didn't worked on my 3gs. The service technician suggested for OS upgrade.Then I came home and I took the backup and upgraded 5.1 to 6.1 as he suggested, also it didn't worked. I was totally frustated and suddenly I got an idea!. What a funny thing here is, a safety pin resolved my issue, I took out all dust which was there in the jack hole. Then I check my earpods, it was amazing you know..MY EAR PODS WORKED!.

Since updating to Yosemite Apple remote doesn't work

I have a bit of a problem, since updating to Yosemite my Apple remote stopped working on my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011). It worked before the update without a hitch, but now I can't pair it to the computer.
It is a 7 button remote in question, tried pairing it as before using the right arrow + menu but nothing happens. I have also tried with a new battery so this not the issue.
I guessed it needed to be "re-paired" to it again so I have followed the instructions System Preferences / Security & Privacy / General / Advanced but I don't have the “Disable remote control infrared receiver.” option to be found...
I tried googling the solution but with no luck so I rely on your advice, please

MY BBM , BLACKBERRY WORLD, FACEBOOK APPS AND OTHER IM APPS STOPPED WORKING ON MY HOME WiFi CONNECTION

Please I am wondering if anyone will have solution to my BBM problem , I am presently using my blackberry on home wiFi connection as I have ended my contract with my network provider(virgin). The BBM, IM applications ( yahoomessenger, window live, AIM, talk) ,my facebook apps and blackberry world were all working fine even with different wifi connection. But recently I am unable to use all these above mentioned applications more importantly my BBM as I needed it badly to communicate. Initially , I thought it was the internet connection at home but I found out the browser and two other applications I have are working perfectly. I don't know if anyone will have an idea of any solution to this problem.
I would appreciate any effort towards solving this problem.

BBM requires an active BlackBerry data plan. As for others, try downloading the latest version of App World from www.blackberry.com/appworld and then update your Facebook and Twitter apps, most should work via WiFi only.

App world installed but wont run

I accidentaly deleted blackberry app world and have since downloaded it again. I can find it in application management but cannot open it to use it or get a thumbnail on main screen. Anyone have any ideas of how to fix this?

Have you tried giving your iPad a reset? Hold down the sleep and home keys, past when you see the red power down slider and until you see the silver apple. let it reboot and try again.

Facebook: Why doesn't it show "via iPhone or Ipod" when updating status via the Facebook App?

I see a lot of updates by other users which say "via Iphone", "via Ipad3", etc. But I don't get it for my updates even though I use the Facebook App. Even I tried using Facebook via Safari. Same results. I checked all the settings in my Ipod and settings in Facebook as well. I assume it should detect automatically. Is there something I'm missing? I like resolving issues myself. But this time I'm frustrated because of this ridiculously negligible issue. Please help.

I have this same problem. On my iPhone 4 running 4.3.5, when I download a podcast from inside the itunes app on my phone, it appears to download correctly, but doesn't show up in the list in the ipod app.

Actually, this KB has been provided many times in relation to the AW portion of your issue:

As for the twitter icon, please be sure that you look everywhere for it (homescreen, downloads, applications, etc.) as well as ensure that "Show All" is active, in case the icon is hidden. Also be certain that the app is actually installed:

If it is not installed, then there would be no icon...

App world new app icon

I have the Torch 9850 and this morning I got an icon in the tray on top of the screen saying I had 1 new app upgrade but when I go into App world I have no upgrades. I did a battery pull and the icon still shows up. I deleted app world and reinstalled and it still is showing 1 app upgrade. I checked each app I had for upgrades and none have one. Then when I deleted App World and reinstalled it now I have no apps listed in App world as installed. How do I fix this?

App world registration does not work on PC

Registered Playbook during setup, created my Blackberry Id - was only asked for email, username and password- when trying to login to App world on pc- it brings up download brower add in , after download sits on "connect your blackberry device" without proceeding further. Thus I am unable to update registration with paying options, nor I am able to download or purchase any apps. Instructions on here do not work, because it never goes to carousel, just sits there waiting for blackberry device, while the Blackberry Desktop in running and connecting and seeing the Playbook just fine.
Also how lame is it to go to Appworld website on your Playbook and see that "your browser is not supported" message.

I tried it on Internet Explorer 9 and latest Chrome, in Windows 7.

Itunes, App store, Facebook App and Facebook on Safari are not working...can not connect to app store is the message I get.

Since Sunday I can not access Itunes or App store with my Ipad 2. I can not use the facebook app, it will log in, but will not load up the newsfeed, I can not use it in Safari either. Also can not use apps like Draw Something. The same thing has happened to my husbands Ipad. On occasion it will allow the app store or itunes to work. Any ideas?
