Since updating firefox it constantly crashes when i navigate away from the homepage

I have recently updatedFirefox to the latest version, but since doing this it crashes when i navigate away from the homepage

Problem solved.I removed mozillateam/stable repo from my sources list. Then removed firefox using 'apt-get remove firefox' and then installed firefox after a restart. Also removed '.mozilla' folder in my home directory which was probably the root of this problem. Now replaced my previous profile FF 10 woking great.

  • Clear Dashboard prompts when user navigates away from the dashboard

We show our users several dashboards with similar dashboard filters, for example region. When the user applies the dashboard filter on one dashboards, subsequently navigates to a second dashboard, the filter sticks. Is there a way to automatically clear the dashboard prompt?
    Thanks for the support!

The below code is used for clearing the prompts values by hitting the button.
    See how it helps you
To get this use Dashboard objects->Text->Check 'Contains HTML Markup' and use this content
    &lt div class="XUIPromptEntry minibuttonOn"&gt&lt a href="#" onclick="return PersonalizationEditor.removeDefaultSelection(false)"&gtClear&lt/a&gt</div>
    Replace &lt with < and &gt with >

  • My ipad2 crashes when it is removed from the power supply. It  can't be reset?

My ipad2 crashes when it is removed from the power supply. It can't be reset? Doesn't respond when plugged into my pc?

Hrm... that may be true and this may be a function of the phone email client that Apple just doesn't do.
No, I can easily MANUALLY delete the messages. I would prefer if I didn't have to do it twice, tho. Once on the mail server and once on the phone.
What I think the phone needs to do is, when it checks the POP, anything NOT there should be removed locally. I think you are correct on POP; the phone will poll the mx (mail exchanger) and the mx will pass off the messages to the phone. The phone then keeps ALL of that unitl you manually delete it.
If, say, I remove a message from the mx, I would like the phone, when next polls, to see that that particular message isn't on the server anymore and remove it locally.
Perhaps it's just me but if I delete the message on the mx itself, via my ISP's webmail interface, I really don't want to have to remove it again from my phone.
    thxs!
    cheers

  • Why does my recording stop when I navigate away from AA3?

I noticed recently that when I navigate away from AA3, my recording stops. This is extremely inconvenient. How do I fix it?

Well, the first thing to do is go to Edit/Audio Hardware Setup and make sure the box beside "Release ASIO Driver in Background" is NOT ticked.
However, when using ASIO drivers remember that you can't have mutliple pieces of software trying to use the driver at the same time.  This is a restriction of ASIO itself and not an Audition restriction.

  • Acrobat 8 Professional 8.1.2 crashes When selecting "Rotate Pages" from the "Document" drop down men

When selecting "Rotate Pages" from the "Document" drop down menu Acrobat 8 Professional 8.1.2 crashes. Every time, no error mesage. Have run "Repair Acrobat Installation" with no success. Any suggestions? Thanks

I am also experiencing the same problem only recently.  I have used the program for almost a year without any problems except now.  Adobe Acrobat 8 standard, ver 8.1.5.
Whenever I insert pages or rotate, I get an immediate shut down window, “Adobe Acrobat 8.1 ahs encountered a problem and needs to close.
I am no longer able to use this program.  Abobe Acrobat 5.0 still works fine.  Does anyone have a solution?  I already did a repair and reloaded the program.

  • Please help - I found a sent message in my ms outlook (that I didn't send) with no senders listed - mozilla firefox.ink . this happened when I was away from my computer.

This situation happened when I was away from my computer. I did have a glitch in sending an email directly from word right before this email went out. I can see the email - it shows no senders but when I try and open the email - outlook gives a message stating it blocked a potentially unsafe item. I've never seen an email in my sent items without me sending it. I am not a technical person and would greatly appreciate your help!

    Are you sure Duane?
Then how come ALL of my neighbor's routers don't appear inside my Airport Utility.
I have never ever seen the image of somebody else's wireless router INSIDE my Airport Utility window.
Yes, I can see a lot of my neighbors' router's in the drop down menu list of the
airport utility icon in the right upper corner of my monitor screen. I can even see another
neighbor's Time Capsule on that list. But they don't appear inside my Airpor Utility window.
    Just this one particular one.
This is the first time that I have ever seen the image of somebody else's router inside my
    Airport Utility window.
Is there any way that I can delete it from my Airport Utility window? It freaks me out
to see the image of somebody else's router inside my software.
    thanks!!

  • How can I set the new version of firefox so that things I write in journals and other things are remembered in case I accidentally navigate away from the page?

In Firefov version 3 there is a feature that will remember what I have typed in a journal or note entry before posting it. This is not like an autofill because the test disappears if I navigate too many pages away from it. The usefulness of it was that if I accidentally navigated away from the page before sending my message or posting my journal, I could just press the back button and what I had written previously would still be there. I had to return to version 3.6.19 because version 5 does not seem to have this feature enabled unless you preform a very specific routine. You have to re-enable the ability of firefox to save tabs when exiting. then you have to close down firefox while saving the tab with the page you wish to write a journal on pulled up. Then when you bring firefox back up, you can type on the saved page and if you accidentally navigate away from it, you can hit the back button and it is saved. However, this goes away when you refresh the page or try it on any other page. I would like to know if it would be possible for me to enable this feature on firefox 5, or if I will have to continue using version 3.

Try using this extension. <br />

  • Updated Firefox, now it crashes when opening certain web pages. Does not work in safe mode either.

I was using Nuance PDF Professional, but have changed it to updated Adobe to try and correct the problem - no luck. Update Flash - still no luck. Tried a couple other fixes from support - still no luck. I can not even use the support site because it crashes when I select a problem to investigate. Using IE and all is fine.

Are there any crash reports send?

  • AE CS4 Crashes when I drag media from the project panel to the timeline

    Hello,
I have a problem dragging media from the project pannel to the timeline.  Several times a day AE will crash when I do this.  Currently I'm using the latest MAC Pro with 11 gig of Ram and Duel 27 inch monitors.   Everything worked fine in CS3, but when I upgraded to CS4 I started having this issue. I have AE spread over both monitors.  Could that be a problem?  Are there any know issue with dragging?  Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Magiebabel:
Since there are millions of context-specific reasons why this could happen -and also considering it's not happening to the majority of users out there-, it would be really helpful if you could fill out the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog that pops up when AE crashes (it just asks for what you were doing when the app crashed, and your e-mail info). When you send that, it includes a report about the crash that can be very useful to help the engineers figure out why it crashed.
Here's a blog post on what kind of data is sent through the Crash Reporter and why is it so important that you fill it and send it, if at all possible.

  • CS3 crashes when pulling a palette from the dock

I work on a PC with a 160Gb hard drive and Indesign CS3, version 5.0. When I am deleting multiple pages from a document I pull out the pages palette from the dock, because that's the only way multiple pages can be deleted. Most of the time Indesign will crash immediately upon pulling the palette onto my workspace. I hesitate to do so, but then I forget and it crashes. I start up Indesign again and it may or may not crash when I try the whole procedure again. Any ideas?

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind. Someone here at work looked for missing
.dll files, because he says spy ware and antivirus software seems to target
Adobe programs. He replaced several missing .dll files and now my computer
is working better. I will keep checking to see if the problem pops up again.
    Thanks, Laurie
P.S. if you think this should be posted, email me back and I will post it.

  • Illustrator CS3 crashes when selecting a swatch from the swatches palette

Hello, i am using a G5 platform to run CS3. in any file i open or create, when i try to apply a swatch to an object, the second i select it from the swatches palette, my Illustrator crashes. In other words, i can't work at all.
I've tried trashing the preferences, restarting the computer, nothing seems to work.
    Help?
    thanks.

    When trashing your preferences
    1. Did you first quit Illustrator?
    2. Did you trash the whole Adobe Settings folder or just the preference file?
    3. Did you run the color sync utility to see if you have corrupt color profiles.
    4. Did you repair the Permission with the disk utility
    5. Did you check to see if you have corrupt fonts?

  • Is there a location aware wifi option (or app) that enables wifi at a specific location (home) and automatically disables it when you are away from the specified location?

I manually turn off my wifi when leaving home for several reasons:
    1. I don't want my wifi to be on and constantly scanning wifi networks while I am away from home due to privacy reasons.  Many retail stores and airports are now tracking users based on their smartphone's wifi pings.  They can then store your phone's MAC address (the unique identifier of your phone) to determine how often you visit the store and where you go within the store.  It's just a matter of time before they match up your phone's MAC address with your credit card/payment info and then to your identity.  The only way to subvert this is to turn off your phone's wifi.
    2. For security reasons: Wifi access points can track devices that broadcast their wifi signal, even if they don't ever actually connect to the access point's network.  These access points can then store your device's details including your phone's MAC address.  Once your phone's MAC address is discovered, it can be targeted by a hacker.  In addition, there are multiple well known hacker tools that can be used to scan for smartphone wifi signals in order to detect and then hack your iphone.  Bottom line: if your wifi is discoverable, then your device is hackable.
    3. I believe it would save battery life if the iphone's wifi is not on and constantly scanning for networks all the time.
There are other reasons as well, but the above are my 3 main reasons for asking about this.
The reminders app is location aware - you can set reminders to alert you when you are at a specific location.  So, why not provide the option (or an app) to only enable wifi when you are at home - or any other location where you have an authorized or trusted wifi?
As it is right now, the iphone's wifi is broadcasting 24/7 everywhere you go.  Not great for privacy & security.  When I turn off my wifi, the phone uses my 4G plan for data and GPS for location services... so wifi is not needed at all for data or location services while I am away from home (and no, wifi does not improve location accuracy, that is a fallacy... there is nothing within the wifi protocol that could ever improve location accuracy).  But the point is, wifi should have a location aware option.  Otherwise, it's just a matter of time before there is a headline story about how not having this feature is a huge security/privacy problem.

Understood.  However, the point that I'm trying to make is that it's not the WiFi access point's security that's in question, it's having your phone's WiFi in an always-on mode that's in question.  It's simple: if your phone's WiFi is on, then it is both discoverable and hackable... even when it's not connected to a WiFi network or access point.  Here's an article about a drone in London that was created to hack smartphone WiFi signals (and hackers have been doing what this drone does for years):
    http://money.cnn.com/2014/03/20/technology/security/drone-phone/
The point is that it's not  secure to have your phone's WiFi in an always-on mode.  It would be better for privacy and security if Apple made WiFi location aware so that it is only enabled when you are at a trusted location (e.g. your home or office).  Or, at least give us the option of location aware WiFi so that each user can determine the best mode for their phone:
    (1) Always-On (current default - not secure and many privacy issues).
    (2) Trusted mode (only on at trusted locations).
    (3) Off.

  • Firefox is constantly crashing when I am in the Pogo Games app - it even crashed when I was on live c hat with a Pogo helper - this is SO frustrating - all I see lately is the (not responding) message - please help!!!!

I will be playing a game in Pogo, when the game suddenly stops and starts and then locks up. The message up top is Mozilla Firefox (not responding) - then if I close out and reboot, Firefox gives me "how embarrassing - we lost your session" message........please help! I LOVE Firefox, but I do not know what the problem is - I have deleted the histories and most of the bookmarks thinking it might help, but it is getting worse.

    Hell0.
It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.
If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please have no fear of following my instructions to the line, as all can be easily undone.
