Since updating my 4s to ios7, my backlight won't go off. Help!
I updated my phone to the iOS 7, and since then the backlight will not turn off unless I manually turn the phone off (button at top). I have tried resetting everything, turning it off and on, and restoring it. Nothing has worked. Help please!!!!
I just bought an iPhone 5, was an android user for about a year and got so used to an app called NoLED which lights up your screen at notifications, obviously had an affect on the battery life. I just thought this should be an option the user should have on the iPhone also. Funny that everybody sees this as a problem cause I'd rather have it. Guess will get used to checking the phone every 5 mins. if I miss a notification. Am I the only one who'd want the notification screen to last more than 10 seconds?

Since updating to iOS7 on my iphone 4s, I am unable to update my apps. I am unable to accept the terms and conditions needed. I have laboriously turned all the pages only to find no box to check to accept the terms. It will not send as an email as it offers. Has anyone had this happen and found a solution?
Press and hold the power and home button until the apple logo shows up, when it restarts go and try to accept them. If it still doesn't work you can go to seetings>general>reset> and reset all settings it should be the first option. Alternately if you have a computer with itunes you can go there and try downloading an app it should ask you to accept terms and conditions there.

Can anyone help? Since updating my iphone to the latest ios7 my phone will not send or receive imessages and is now very slow.Go to Settings>Messages> turn iMessage off. The go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. Do a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, go back into Settings>Messages and turn on iMessage. See if it activates.
Apple has acknowldged an issue with iMessage and is working on an update. Look for that to be released sometime this week. -

I am having problems syncing my apple tv to my macbook since updating the appletv software today. I downloaded the itunes update too-and now it won't appear in the devices list.
The WiFi connection is fine, and I can download trailers etc- but can I sync it? Can I 'eck as like.

I have a white screen on my iphone 3G since last night.. I tried a holding home and on/off buttons down but it won't switch off - help
Apparently, this is caused by a loose connection between the "guts" of the phone and the LCD screen. While it only displays white, the touch screen will still operate correctly - so if you know where to swipe, you can still power it off or unlock the screen, or touch to answer a call or etc.
With my phone, pinching the top right corner near the power button while pushing the home/power button to wake up the phone, seems to tighten the connection enough for it to work. I have not had to maintain the pinch after waking up the phone, but I do have to do it each time I unlock the screen. I have gotten by for about 6 months so far, and hoping the iphone 5's come out soon!!

Some apps have no sound since updating my iPad to ios7. Any ideas?
Two apps I have that catalogue YouTube golf clips have no sound since I updated to iOS 7. If I play the clips from You Tube, they work!!! The .03 update has not helped. Am I the only one or are other having issues with sound?
Apple does not provide an option to downgrade to a previous version of iOS. If glitches occur wth some apps, try a reboot:
press and hold the home and power buttons until the Apple icon is displayed, then let go.
Something else to try:
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. Some users report this speeds up their devices. -
Since updating to ios 7.1.2, phone won't sync with itunes
I'm using a macbook pro with mavericks as well as the latest version of itunes (11.2.2). I had some minor issues with my iphone 4s and was told by a guy at the apple store to update to ios 7.1.2 (from ios 7), and since this whenever I try to sync (via usb cable) it gets stuck at 'waiting for items to copy'/'waiting for changes to be applied'. Cancelling the sync causes itunes to freak out and I end up having to turn everything off and on again to no avail, with no new items being copied to my phone at all.
Is there anything I can do at all? Would it just be simpler for me to somehow undo the update to ios 7.1.2?Please provide more information about your setup: iTunes on Windows or Mac? What version of iTunes?
When you say you "can't sync" do you mean the iPad doesn't appear in iTunes when you connect it or does it appear but give some error when you attempt the sync operation?
If it gives you an error message when syncing, what does it say?
If the iPad doesn't even appear in iTunes and you are using iTunes on Windows then read iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
If that doesn't work and the iPad still doesn't appear then try iTunes: How to reset the Lockdown folder. -
I updated pages 08 to pages 09 but now if i have saved a document and try to open it it tells me the file can't be opened as it is too old. Does anyone know how to fix this ?
You have tried to open a Pages 09 document in Pages 08. You have to be particular about which app you use for which document. Pages 09 will always try to be tha app to open all your Pages documents. The Pages icocn looks the same for both apps.

Since updating to latest version of ITunes it won't share with Apple TV
Updated to the latest version of Itunes and now it will not share with Apple TV even though home sharing is turned on. Apple TV does everything but allow me to play from ITunes on my PC. I can use airplay on my IPhone 5 no problem. I can use all other Apple TV features except home sharing. Apple TV is saying basically that my ITunes does not have home sharing turned on? HELP!!!!!

Home sharing is turned on within ITunes yet apple TV says on the computer icon that: To access your ITunes library on Apple TV turn on home sharing in ITunes on your computer using (my email address)
It is turned on?
I have so far restored Apple TV to its factory settings
Uninstalled ITunes and reinstalled it
Tried to install an earlier version of ITunes however even that says cannot use library due to being created by a later version of ITunes.
Really not sure what to do next?

Please help me! my ipod wont play music or unlock itself. i updated to ios5 thinking this would fix it and it wont work still. it is now locked at the lock screen and the little slider bar thing wont slide over. its stuck. and i dont have an apple protection plan because i bought this ipod touch off of a friend 8 months ago. i really dont want to have to spend 300 dollars for a new ipod touch. please help.

Firefox takes ages to open with the start page and when it does it continually freezes on me. I type and it stops so I continue typing and eventually it catches up with me! I try to open a bookmark and again it takes ages or I get a message on the top bar saying 'NOT RESPONDING'

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Keyboard Backlight Won't Turn Off
Since installing Leopard, the backlight on the keyboard of my MacBook Pro has not turned off. I went into the preferences and unchecked and checked the "illuminate keyboard" button in the Keyboard & Mouse section, but for some reason it's still on. Anybody know why this might be happening? I'm not sure if it's related to Leopard or not, but still, I don't want the light to burn out because it's now on 24/7, whether the room is dark or not.

I am having this problem too. Besides of the backlight, the keyboard will sometime feel unresponsive.

Can't Update to 10.0.1, Bonjour Service Won't Start--PLEASE help!
All I want to do is update my iTunes but I cannot. It won't work from within iTunes, and when I try to do it manually it said "The Service Bonjour Service" won't start." In Services, I could not start it either, though I am admin.
So I deleted Bonjour (from within the Control Panel), thinking that'd take care of it, but it did not. I still get ALL the same messages. I even tried re-installing Bonjour (bonjour64.msi), and I get the same "won't start" message. It's not my firewall--I set that to always allow.
What is going on here? I've searched and searched, but to no avail (though they are plenty of Bonjour problems out there), and I really don't want to uninstall/reinstall iTunes, if that would even do it. I'm new to Apple, and this just makes no sense to me.
Please, help?? THANKS in advance~There are remants of Bonjour in the program files, and I guess I could delete these to clean it up, but I doubt that would make the difference.
Actually, that could make a difference. If there is leftover componentry from the previous version still on the PC when the new version tries to install, the version mismatch could cause trouble with the new service starting. That could then roll back the attempted install.
There's a bunch of different stuff on 64-bit systems for BonJour (there's both 64-bit and 32-bit componentry stashed on a 64-bit system. We'll also try a cleaner version of an uninstall than the Apple instructions provide.
In Computer, open your C drive (or whichever drive your program files are installed on).
Open the "Program Files" folder.
Right-click on the "BonJour" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Go back into your C drive (or whichever drive your program files are installed on).
Open the "Program Files (x86)" folder.
Right-click on the "BonJour" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Go back into your C drive (or whichever drive your operating system is installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
Open the "System32" folder.
Right-click on the dnssd.dll and dns-sd.exe files (if they still exist), and select "Delete".
Go back into the "Windows" folder.
Open the "SysWOW64" folder.
Right-click on the dnssd.dll and dns-sd.exe files (if they still exist), and select "Delete".
Empty your recycle bin.
Restart the PC and try another BonJour install. Any better luck restarting the service this time?
