Since updating my computer i cannot install or open itunes, help!!!

Since updating important installations on my computer i cannot open itunes. I unistalled it after hours of trying and now i can even install the software. very frustrated and confused can anyone help??

Welcome to the Discussions.
.exe are Windows programs. You need programs written for OS X. Most will be .dmg files (disk image) and will mount on the desktop just like a hard drive. With most you just drag the applications icon to your applications folder. Others need Stuffit Expander to decompress the file before installation.

As suggested in other Q&A's, I've run disc check to clean the hard drive, but that's as far as my knowledge goes. I can neither install or delete itunes. What can I do ? You can not install anything but the current version of iOS. If you have a 3Gs, then you can install 6.0.1 by plugging it into your computer running iTunes (10.7 or higher). If you have a 3G, 4.2.1 is the end of the line.

If you still have an issue you may have to see about using the iTunes version (application) included with Snow Leopard 10.6 from the installer or an another one if available online, and see if that will install.
Sometimes you may have uninstall the bits left in your system by the earlier (or later) iTunes installers; as they all leave a trace and these can stop a different version of iTunes from being installed.

Computer shuts down when I open itunes Store

Computer shuts down when I open itunes Store. I don't know why or how to fix it.. It used to work, now it doesn't. I haven't done anything differently. I tried to 'repair' it in the add/delete programs.

Some more info.................I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and Quicktime. No fix. I can access the store on my other desktop computer which I also updtated to the newest version, so I think it's some setting in my laptop. As I said, it works great until I click on "iTunes Store" then it shuts the whole program down.

Make sure your iTunes version is version 12. if it is and still doesn't work, reinstall itunes from this installer: iTunes
Make sure you have a Time Machine backup, but you shouldn't lose your library by reinstalling iTunes.

I had the same problem. When I downloaded iOS 7, the auto download switch in the I Tunes & Apps store turned off. Go to the I Tunes & Apps store in Settings and turn the toggle switch to on for Apps auto download.

Since I updated my iPhone, I cannot sync to iTunes. Nor am I able to do an iCloud back-up, even though I have iCloud on my phone. When I try to turn on iCloud backup, "iCloud Backup Failed - there was a problem enabling iCloud Backup". Any suggestions?

What ended up working, was shutting down the phone, and shutting down iTunes. I then powered up the phone and turned on the notes update. I then connected the phone letting iTunes come up automatically. The sync automatically started. When the sync was done, then I turned 'storage & backup' on in iCloud, and it all worked!
