Since updating my iphone 3gs to ios 5.1.1. i am unable to access wifi
Since updating my iphone 3gs to the ios 5.1.1 updating. My phone has been not reckonising wifi as existing and when it does find my wifi eg at home. It will then connect or disconnect randomly.
Will we have to await a new update? or has there been any fixes identified for this issue?
iMessage is activated and the settings are exactly the same as yet were before I updated (when iMessage worked) and I have full Internet signal, both wifi & 3G but it doesn't work though either. I have had no error messages it just simple won't work.

Since updating my iPhone 3GS on my friends laptop, it keeps asking for her iTunes Id not mine. When I log onto a computer it comes up with my Id but from my phone it's my friends. I don't have an option to change the user Id when it pops up either. So I can't update my apps, download songs or games now as it will charge my friend

Since updating my iphone 4S to ios 7.1 my phone will no longer ring and apps do not have sound. I have made sure the do not disturb is not turned on and have also gone into Accessibility and made sure sound is not off there. I have done a reboot and also a reset of the settings. When I set my ring tone, the sample tone plays, however, the phone only vibrates when I get a call. The apps also do not have any sound. Everything was working fine until the update.
I am positive the half moon isn't there. That one caught me once before so now I am careful to check.

Okay. I got it working again by setting it up as a new phone instead of just syncing. Then I backed up. All is good today.

I have updated my iphone 3gs to ios 5 from 4.1 and it has locked back to the orginal sim card in america but as i live in ireland an american simcard wont work here is there any way i can unlock ios 5 or delete it off my iphone and go back to 4.1 so i can use my iphone ?
It sounds like you have a hacked/unofficially unlocked iphone. When you update, it will indeed lock it back, as it should.
The ONLY place that can legitimately unlock an iphone is the carrier to which they are locked and no U.S. carrier does this. -

PLSS HELP ME OUT !!!!Sounds like your phone was hacked to work with any network. Doing the update re-locked it to the original carrier. All you can do now is contact the carrier it is locked to to see if they have an unlocking policy. Note that if it's AT&T they do not offer unlocking. otherwise find an un-activated sim for the original carrier and you can use it as an iPod.

I searched a lot and maybe found a part of the reason for this high data traffic.
I'm synchronizing my contacts, calendar & reminder with iCloud & my mail with Hotmail.
When push is activated for Hotmail, that doesn't matter, but when push is activated for iCloud, the amount of data nearly explodes. So I turned iCloud to manual and let Hotmail on push.
Contacts, calendar & reminder are synchronizing when opened (I think this is enough).
Also I do a backup on iCloud and than I deactivate the function (I do not delete the last backup, I only deactivate the option for automatic backup).
It seems, that the backup functionality also generates traffic when not on WiFi - especially at night!!
The battery life has been getting better, when I deactivated the support for automatic time zone changes (location services were always on).
The battery finaly got MUCH BETTER since the update on iOS 5.0.1.
My traffic is actually higher than on iOS 4 but not so high as before I deactivated some services...

Downgrading the iOS is not supported, and likely has caused the problems you are experiencing.
You'll need to go elsewhere for support. -

I don't follow your instructions... mine goes Settings->General->Cellular and from there it's just on/off options for Cellular Data, Enable 3G, Data Roaming, etc. Or I could go Settings->General->Profile APN Carrier Settings but when I click that it just shows as verified but no Visual Voice APN or MMS Settings. If I click More Details it goes to Signing Certificate which has a bunch of parameters for unlockit.co.nz but I am unable to change anything.
I just updated my iphone 3GS to IOS 6 and my internet (wifi and 3G), voice and text all work, but the only thing I can't do is send/receive pictures via text message. I am using At&t prepaid sim. I tried turning off the phone completely but I'm trying to avoid a complete restore.. at least until I can understand the problem better! Any help would be appreciated!

If it was legitimately unlocked then updating it will not re-lock it. It will be re-locked only if it was unlocked by hacking it.
That error message, however, does not mean it is locked. It means that iTunes could not verify the locked state because it could not communicate with Apple's activation database at gs.apple.com. There are common reasons that the server connection fails:
1. Your router, antivirus or firewall is blocking access to gs.apple.com.
2. You don't have a WiFi connection if you updated on the phone and not with a computer.
3. If you updated using your computer and it was used to hack, unlock or jailbreak some iOS device in the past (not necessarily the iPhone with the problem) and the network database on the computer is corrupted.
