Since updating to Firefox 4.0.1 I have lost the Easy Edit button on my Wetpaint Wiki. How can I remove 4.0.1 and return to previous verison?
The Wetpaint Wiki worked well with previous version of Firefox but doesn't work now. I can load wiki but it appears different to normal and the Easy Edit button no longer exists. I want to get rid of the new Firefox and go back to old one. How can I do this please?

Firefox automatically updated itself. However, since the updating, whenever I open gmail the chat feature does not allow me to send messages. I am able to receive but the typing portion does not work to allow me to send messages. It is not a problem with gmail as the chat feature works fine in Internet Explorer. How can I fix this?
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Since updating to Firefox 4.0.1 I have a problem with the website shortcuts I have on on desktop. I have a few of these shortcut to website I use a lot. When I click on the short I get the message "windows cannot find [then the web address] make sure you typed the name correctly, then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search." I tried deleting the shortcut and setting it up again but still get the message.Try to redo the default browser and make another browser like IE the default browser and then let Firefox do it again.

Nope that's not it, I always use that particular ID, but the @me.com portion of the Apple ID is missing when trying to download from the App Store on the Phone.
It is grayed out inside the App Store app so I can't change it there and I already changed it in the settings.
The entire Apple ID is fine in the Settings so I don't get why the App Store ID is different and missing information. -
I bought an apple tv for its ability to mirror any of the content on my new ipad 3rd gen. Now after updating my apple tv i seem to have lost the ability to mirror my tablet onto the screen. Can somebody help with this. I have tried to do everything. I made sure both my apple tv and my ipad are connected to the same network. I also made shure my bluetooth was off. I can still airplay with my brothers iphone 4s. ( ios5.1) but i cannot do the same with my tablet.

You must be a newbie, because otherwise you would have fixed it. I don't have that mirroring problem and it must be because you are not looking around and inform yourself thoroughly. It took me also 2 days of grief before I found out how to do it. Not even to mention that the Apple Engineer that I called did not have a solution either and just suggested that I should send my Apple TV back or go to a Apple Store nearby.
I was pretty annoyed about that such a little black box was giving me grief. I have been working in the IT industry for over 30 years and I know quite a bit inside out about many hardware's. But my opinion is that sending out Version 6.0 Aka 5.1 as you rightfully say is not on with me.
This is the same behaviour that Apple now does as Microsoft forever is doing. Not finishing the products and putting it on the market or release it before it is finished and has bugs in it.
Personally this irks me and annoys me. Because I am in that field for many years and have seen what grief it causes. I have noticed that an Administrator has removed another post that I made about other matters concerning iPads and especially with iPad 3 and 4 now and that there are also other people who make inflamatory remarks to people ( Julian Wright for e.g.) about how they have to spend their money for the latest stuff of Apple and come over very aggressive, selfish, if not evil.
For your information, I used to work for Apple, I know Apple inside and how they work and what they used to do ? They were really nice for their employees and customers. But I think that has changed now for whatever reason they have. Very disappointing. It's up to Apple not to listen, I have no control of that, but it will cost them at some point.
Besides that point, I feel that some people are been taken for a ride and when I am expressing that this is not OK I should be rewarded for that instead of being rejected. -
Since updating to Firefox 22 Twitch.tv does not load the player anymore
I just updated to Firefox 22 and no Twitch.tv's player simply does not load anymore. Just a black rectangle where the player is supposed to be and if I rightclick in that area, I get the same context menu as everywhere else, meaning that the player definitly did not load. Youtube works fine though.
This gotta be the worst ff upgrade ever, every single thing breaks

I updated to 10.6.8 and now my VPN connection is unstable. It has lost the connection to the host after 30 minutes on three different occasions. Before updating, I was able to be connected for hours with no interruption.
The error reads: "A configuration error occurred. Verify your settings and try reconnecting."
Adding to the problem is that the problem only corrects itself after I restart my computer.
Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix I should be looking for?
Thanks!I'm sorry I didn't post back earlier, I haven't been using my VPN lately. However, today, I did use it for hours and the problem persisted exactly as explained. I did some more searching and found the following solution on a similar thread. Worked like a charm:
the vpn daemon has to be restarted. after that it works perfectly.
1. Open Terminal
2. Unload the VPN daemon using the following command (for those who don't know, don't include the % sign when typing in Terminal):
% sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.racoon.plist
Note: After you type the command in, Terminal will give you a warning and ask you if you want to continue. Enter your password and continue.
3. Reload the VPN daemon in Terminal (again, not typing the % sign) :
% sudo launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.racoon.plist
That should do it! Thank you to everyone who tried to help me. Hopefully this helps others out there...
P.S. For those that are unfamiliar with terminal. When you type in the commands, that's not a hard return in there before the path /System/Library... etc. The line break is just because the path is too long to fit on that line.

Well, there's not much more to say really. The main reason I use Firefox is so that I can leave all my tabs open and come back to them next time I log onto the internet and since I upgraded to Firefox 4 I have not been able to do this. When I close down it just asks me if I am sure I want to close all the tabs - this used to happen if I had inadvertently opened Firefox twice but now it happens even when I haven't. If there isn't a solution I will just go back to using the previous Firefox programme.
Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

Hi, I have an iPod Touch 5th generation.
I have a Windows XP computer.
I cannot update my version of iTunes.When I try, I get a message saying that the needed files are on a network resource that is not available.
This has happened before, but has been fixable, but.not by me..

This began happening several months ago. Calls to my broadband provider and work on modem did not solve the problem. I completely recovered my computer and reinstalled everything. At first everything seemed OK. Now it has happened again several times.
For the list of teachers there are email addresses in the right hand column, did you click on an email address?
If you did that could explain the multiple tabs being opened. What may have happened is you have the mailto protocol set to open Firefox which results in 100s of tabs opening when you click on an email address. For details on fixing that see [[Firefox keeps opening many tabs or windows]], in particular the section on "Change the action for a content type". My guess is you will find mailto is set to "Use Firefox".
