Since updating to the new ios 5.1 my iphone 4 asks for my apple id all the time, why and how do I stop it happening??

Already signed in, but tried signing out then back in without any success, still asking for apple I'd password.

If your iPhone is restarting unexpectedly, I recommend starting with step three in this troubleshooting guide:

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

Only your carrier can Blacklist the phone, so contact them.

If he has iMessage on his iPad set to receive at his iPhone's phone number, that is exactly what is supposed to happen. There's nothiing you can do - he needs to remove his iPhone number from his "you can be reached at" iMessage settings on his iPad.

MobileMe went offline in June last year. You received reminders in the mail.
You have to find another webhost.

Since I updated my iPhone4 to IOS6 I keep getting game center popping up evertime I open a game. I am not interested in signing in as I am only playing for fun.
I have turned off notifications in the setting menu, but it still keeps popping up.
Is there any way of stopping this?

I'm pretty sure this is an Apple thing and you can't do anything about it. To get rid of the notification just do as it asks then try to forget about it.

Update to 10.4.3 now hangs my system all the time -- how do I fix this?

I've read so many threads in these forums. I've run repair disk / Disk Utility, I've run repair permissions/Disk Utility, I've run Cocktail's Pilot daily, even hourly, and restarted each time in order to remove cache files and STILL I have my system crashing constantly. It doesn't matter whether I'm using Mail, Safari or any other application that doesn't access the Net. It happens whether I'm hooked up to the Net or not.
I need to post this quickly before it hangs again. This happened right after I updated to 10.4.3. Anybody got any suggestions? I'm getting desperate enough to return to my XP machine which is turning out to be more reliable. I don't want to do that. Help?!

Thanks for your comments. No, the Sonnet board is fully compatible with Tiger, no firmware updates are necessary. And it's freezing cold in my office, plenty of air around the Cube, heat can be a problem, for sure.
I was using MacJanitor first, then switched to Cocktail per some one else's recommendations here in the forum. I'll check out the utilities you mentioned.
It's such a p-i-t-a to backup, erase and do a clean install. It seems to me that this update is the worst to have ever come out of Apple. There are posts all over the place with the problems it is causing everywhere. [sigh]

Since updating to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4S my iPod app runs very slow and crashes a lot. Once playing I can switch songs and what not with little difficulty, but if I go back to the list of songs/artists/etc it freezes or force quits. Are you aware that if you restore your ipad that you will lose all data from your ipad and very difficult to get it back unless you had previously made a back-up of your data on itunes or in the cloud. and that would be on the computer you set those up on. (There are some independent apps out there that might help restore data but I don't have any experience with them...)
Also, I think if you restore on another computer you're supposed to have administrator rights and have the latest itunes update. And I think if you sync (if restoring is considered syncing with another computer, you'll be locked out of your computer or a new one.)
I don't know if there is a way for you to safely eject your ipad from your mom's laptop and find another way, but please read this

Also, I suggest you start a new post and title it something like First, stuck on update and now on Restore on another computer. Please HELP! And then tell the story of your problem that you originally included and your follow-up efforts to restore given a suggestion on previous post (though I think you SHOULD AVOID RSTORE if you can.)
