Since updating to version 4.0, Firefox does not automatically complete saved passwords

Before updating to version 4.0, whenever I clicked the cursor into the username boxes, the username would automatically be there. Once I clicked on it, then the password would automatically fill in. Since the update, this does not happen anymore. So, I'm having to write usernames & passwords down somewhere and type them in myself. Has this automatic feature been defeated in version 4.0? I still have a list of saved passwords, but it's not calling them up automatically like before.

Do you still see all the names and passwords in the Firefox Password Manager ?
* Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
You can check that you not run Firefox in (permanent) [[Private Browsing]] mode.
* You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
* To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
* Uncheck: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If such a trojan is affecting you, there may previously have been problems with searches. Downgrading in those circumstances will not assist you as security issues would remain with an alternative browser. You will need to do a full security scan of your system with up-to-date software. (Please give name and version of software used if you do a scan - I believe MS provide free software for this purpose for recent Windows OS).
Currently the commonest specific cause of Crashes (and again this is known to affect Firefox 3.6 also) is due to a component of ''idvault''. If you have idvault installed, possibly as part of Comcast Constant Guard then that is likely to be the cause of the crashes. Try disabling or even uninstalling thes to see if the problem is solved. Note the software developer involveed is WhiteSky, and they are aware of the issue and working on a fix. (a bug has been filed).

Since updating to iOS 8 guided access does not work

I Was given a iPad mini at school to use for test taking on SofTest. Since updating to ios8, my guided access no longer turns on when I triple click. But it worked fine before the update. I am not the only student having this issue. I tried resetting, without deleting all content. I rebooted several times, turned access on and off while rebooting, and still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas or is this an ios8 flaw?

Are you still having this issue? SofTest's Guided Access seems to be working alright on my iPad, although I think there was a small stretch where it wouldn't work.

Firefox updated now my browser service email does not open completely when I tried its suggestion could not change the default? Any ideas to help me?

I can not get my browser email to open up. It is through mediacom and they say they do not support firefox yet it always worked till today after I cleared all my history earlier today. I have tried to do the steps it says but no way to add my correct mail server name in. I am not really all that good on hte computer on some things and this is driving me nuts. Any help would be appreciated.

When you cleared your history, did you select Cookies and/or Active Logins and clear those? That could explain why you are not automatically logged in.
I have not used the Zimbra mail server. However, generally speaking, when you are using webmail, you usually do not need to enter a mail server name. Usually you just have to login.
Where does the site stop working for you. Can you log in and get to the next page, or does it require you to keep trying to log in? Can you view the Inbox? Can you open individual messages? Et cetera.

Firefox does not load last saved urls

I have to open 5 fix urls daily for 12 hours. The new fixfox does not load last opened urls when i came at work next day while previous version was doing same thing for me since months. Please advise.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Whats going with itunes store ? after all this updates. win 7 64 bit store does not upload completly and very slow, no nav bar.

I re-installed itunes and by this i mean part by part itunes, quicktime and so on. Once I re-installed it looked like all was going well. I went to the store and upload like it use to before the upadtes. Than I pluged my Ipad2 no problem but I went to store once more the problem started agian the up-load was very slow it didn't up load completly. the nav bar on the store page is missing no apps, music, books,tabs are all gone. I think it has to do with the new itunes upates in the last few days. I also did the firewall and anti virus off step no fix and i'm running Norton 2011. Has itunes put any message on this ? Is it only window 7 64bit with the problem ? Oh one more thing I was getting a 3259 error but that looks like is good now, but it did take me a few days to download one book and one app the download is very slow.

I am using a Nvidia 4200M adapter in my Laptop, Driver 266.96, Direct X 11
In my desktop I am using an ATI XFX 6950, latest revision drivers (I am not at home right now so I cant get that info).
The issue I did describe above, but it was a long explanation.
In some flash games the game files load initially and get as far as the "click to start" button. Then the flash area usually goes either all white or all black (usually depending on the falsh game default background color) and then it stays that color. Cant see anything after hitting start (usually most games have an intro video or animation before the game starts, but I cant see any of it.
For the very few games that do start, the flash game or application does not seem to work correctly in that when the rare game starts, it wont save any game files or save files to the pc and so if I exit the game (navigate away to another page or close browser) and then later come back, even though I click the option to save games (and ensure that the flash application slider shows it can save files and lots of space) it does not save and I have to start from the beginning all the time.

Firefox does not automatically shut down when I turn off my computer. It used to before this latest Firefox upgrade.

In the past, when I shut my computer down, Firefox would automatically close. Now, Firefox has problems closing at shut down. This happens every time I shut off my computer. I'm using Windows XP pro on a desktop.

However, the other issue is that whenever I start Firefox, the tabs I had open when I shut down do not automatically load. Again, this did not happen before the latest Firefox upgrade.
I have to say that I like the idea of AVG watching my back against malicious links, and not that it's disabled I'm concerned about viruses. Or should I be?

After the Firefox 6.0.2 update (up from 6.0), Firefox does not open a tab/page anymore when clicking on links in e-mail(have Thunderbird 6.0.2)

Firefox no longer receives clicks on links in e-mail and others. No response at all. When I click on URL links in Windows, I receive "Windows cannot find http://<an address>. Make sure you typed the name correctly ...". When I click on e-mail links in Thunderbird, I do not get an error but nothing happens.

This problem disappeared after a few days by itself but the last significant change in my PC prior to noticing normal Firefox link behaviour was MS Vista update KB2607712 & restart. This may or may not be the solution to the problem.

Since the update, we cannot play music through the Bose Air. Neither the Airplay or Airdrop icons appear in the control screen as it shows in the support page. The devices are all on the same network & the speaker is working - it will play via Airplay on the Mac.

Since updating to ios 6 itunes match does not seem to work.

I just get a cloud symbol with a progress bar that makes no progress. Alos itunes does no show audio books that I know are on the phone because the storage usage has not changed. Any advice?

Firefox does not automatically load nor find the login page for a public network (i.e. username and password)

To log in on a public network without a password-key (not secured), a user login is required.
After connecting to the network, the browser, upon opening it, normally automatically loads the login page, in order to enter a username and password and connect to the internet.
Firefox doesn't find the login page automatically, so I need to switch to google Chrome just to log in to the network.
Does this have anything to do with user settings in the options of firefox?

Why doesent Firefox does not remember Emails and passwords? Seems this issue started when 4.0 came out.....

Well ever since FF 4.0 came out it doesn't seem to want to remember all my emails and passwords, once in a great while it will scroll down and show my email but once i click it it doesn't even place my password in, Such as accessing my email or logging into an account on the web such as Facebook, MySpace or anything like that, and i have to re-log in every single time when i used to do click, click Done, Id like to continue doing that...

Firefox does not autofill the userid & password when i go to websites after upgrade to 6.0.2

i used to be able to type the first letter of a userid or double click on the userid field and firefox would show all my userid options and then autofill the password. when i upgraded to 6.0.2 it wouldnt do it anymore. i double checked and all my userid and passwords are still saved in the options>password area in firefox. i typed in my userid and passwork for the site and now that is the only one that will pull up when i go to the site. why wont this function work the way it used to? Also, when i paste the troubleshooting information, i get a warning that there are too many characters. Why ask that it be posted if it cant handle the info? maybe i have too much goin on in the troubleshooting information...feel free to comment on that (i deleted a BUNCH of "print.printer" stuffso it would send.
