You can't. Games from the iTunes music store are only for the iPod 5th gen.

If you are logged into your old game center account on your device, follow these steps:
1.) go to settings
2.) scroll all the way down until you see the game center tab and click on it
3.) you should see an option to change your profile name; click inside the box
4.) type in your desired profile name and then it should either give you an option to save or if you exit out it should save by itself. To check, just repeat the steps up until #3 but don't click the box. You should see your new game center name.

Since upgrading to ios6, all the family's apple devices (new ipad, 2 iphone4 & itouch) are having difficulty reconnecting to the home hub wifi network. I.e, every time the lock screen comes on, the wifi connection is lost when you reopen the device and we have to reconnect through settings. This appears to be an ios6 software issue.
Is there a solution to this wifi connection issue or do we wait for a software fix?
I'd hate to think Apple is going down the Microsoft path, of passing untested software onto the user. What ever happened to Regression Testing, to ensure the existing functionality remains intact?
I bought into the Apple dream, because it was intuitive, reliable & enjoyable to use, all the things that Microsoft windows isn't.
Other issues we are experiencing are, Games are stuttering and the kids really miss the old YouTube app.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

How do I select a new calendar as a "writable calendar"?

I have a calendar set up to sync with an Internet cloud service (not Google; not iCloud). This calendar has worked fine for me for months and I have many calendar events and tasks on this calendar. All of those can be modified and I can create new calendar entries, but I cannot create new tasks.
On the Task window, in the New Task field, I see an error message that says "Please select a writable calendar". But I can't enter anything in that field. I can create a new local calendar and move existing tasks from the current calendar to the newly-created one, but I cannot find a way to create any NEW tasks on the existing calendar or the newly-selected calendar. Is there someplace I can select this new calendar as the default for tasks? It would be even better to keep tasks on the synced calendar, but I'll settle if need be.

Tasks are not covered by any standards of formatting and almost inevitably do not synchronize. Thunderbird/ Lightning does not synchronize tasks with Live or gmail either.

Go to the System Preferences>Users.
Click the lock if and enter your password, if necessary.

From the "New Account" menu, select"Administrator" and fill in the rest of the information.

For some reason my "Games" list has disappeared and "Applications" is now present. I no longer see my list of games. Why not? I've purchased two new games yesterday and can't sync them. They appear in the Applications file. If I try to sync these two games, I get a message that my old games will be deleted. How do I sync my new games and keep my old ones? Yes, the whole category is Apps now in itunes v8.
And that is split into two parts, iphone/itouch Apps at the top, and at the bottom iPod games.
I had a similar problem when I upgraded - my old games were not listed. So I had to find the files on my hard drive and drag them back over into the itunes library. THey all have a file extension of I P G for IPod Game.
So search your hard drive for the old games and add them back in. I'm afraid to say you'll probably lose all the stats for them.

ONLY WAY I CAN THINK OF: sync your iPod to your computer, change sync settings so you will not download zombie farm. Then reinstall the app. Or you can sell everything you have. I love zombie farm! I think there may be something in settings which said "reset"… but that may have been a different game.

This will not, however, avoid wiping any non-purchased media from your phone (ripped CDs, etc.) as this is only synced one way: from your computer to your phone. You will have to either rebuild your iTunes library with this content and sync again to restore it to your phone, or purchase 3rd party software to copy it from your phone to iTunes prior to syncing (such as Touch Copy).

What precisely do you mean by deleting the podcast app from both the phone and Mac? I have deleted the podcast app from my phone but on my Mac in iTunes->iPhone->Apps it shows up albeit with a button labelled "Install". I've resynced 3 times and when I try to access my Podcast playlist in the Music app, I still get a message telling me that podcasts have moved to the Podcast app. I'm really sick of some of the changes Apple has made to their software.
