Since upgrading my iphone 4 to IOS6, apps keep opening and closing on their own and the wrong ones open when another is pressed. I've tried a full reset but still the same thing...HELP PLEASE :-(

I'm not familiar with the Belkin cover, but you could try removing the cover and reboot the iPad and see how that goes.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

The two most likely culprits would be a faulty cable/charging block or a bad digitizer. Try charging the device with a different charger and cable. If the problem goes away, then the problem is with your charger. If it does not, try the basics of resetting, restoriing from back up, restoring as new. If you still have the problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store for evaluation.

My Iphone 4 apps that other people have gotten for me (because they've already bought them) by signing into THEIR accounts on MY phone keep opening then closing. I cant do the authorize/reauthorize thing because those apps arent on my Itunes account, theyre just on my Iphone. Do i have to delete them and have my friends redownload them on my Iphone?

You should not have apps that are not associated with your account.
Apps are tied to the account from which they are purchased and are no meant to be given to someone else. They are DRM protected to stop this from happening.

THANKS for your prompt reply Bluetooth is off in my laptop and IPhone.. and in fact the reset is the only thing that can make it back to normal. But for a lil while. I wonder if it is the touch, or the home botton... both things are very expensive to replace, so I wouldn't like to spend $$ and continue having the prob.....

Bought an iPhone5 from Dubai a week ago and am having a constant problem with the touchscreen going haywire. It starts flickering and apps keep opening and closing. Did a hard reset, restore, numerous times, same issue. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

The local retailer Sharaf DG needs 10 days to check the issue, not helpful at all. I spent more money to buy it from the retailer instead of the online store, and when I called Apple support they said they couldn't help me as I bought the phone from the retailer and not online. I'm extremely disappointed as this is my first iOS device and I've been told about how the iPhone is bulletproof. Guess i got a lemon.

Ok Guys, got the device back. Service centre said they replaced the Display and touch panel. I would have preferred a new phone, but whatever. I just hope this does it and the problem is fixed. @Robo, I've also got a new nano-SIM from the carrier, so hopefully now anything that can cause the phone to go crazy, is fixed.

If resetting the camera app doesn't work you can try restoring your iPhone's software. The entire process takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Make sure you do a backup. Make sure you do a backup.

after that preform a restore by going to

I have the latest IOS in my second gen ipod touch. Since upgrading, a bunch of apps refuse to update. I've tried removing them in itunes, so that I can try downloading them fresh, but itunes shows them removed, while they remain in the ipod. Is there anything I can do other than wiping it? At this point I feel really sorry that I updated the ios, since I never had this problem before, and I have little confidence the situation will improve. Ok, so I turned my ipod touch off for 10 minutes, restarted itunes, and checked to add the apps that aren't being removed from the ipod or updating, one at a time then syncing each time I add one. It's working! When I tried to do it en mass, all the apps would attempt to download but failed, asked me to retry or wait. So, I'm slowly going through the 20+ app reinstalls. I've tried to fix this 5 times over the past 2 months, so whatever works is good.
FYI, it's a 2nd gen and is running iOS 5.

IPhone6 apps, email open at random on their own

My iPhone 6 goes haywire on occasion — unprompted by any action or settings change — and the apps and emails and screen swipes start opening or occurring in rapid succession on their own or it starts dialing a number in my address book. This has to be a virus or hardware issue. Anyone seen this and/or have a solution?

No! Isn't that kind of the point of a laptop to be portable and when you move the laptop you cloose the lid. I would suggest anytime you move the laptop, even between rooms in your house, that you close the lid or be careful. These units are expensive and somewhat delecate so why risk it by keeping the lid open...

AL1914 menu keeps opening and closing

I'm running an AL1914 as external monitor off of my MacBook Pro OSX. All of a sudden the monitor menu keeps popping up. It'll open to the contrast/brightness selection, stay for about 20 seconds then go away for a few minutes and come right back. None of the buttons are depressed. Anybody have an idea what's going on? It's pretty annoying

It could be that there is a hardware problem. Do you have the ability to access the OSD and try to reset it?

Ipod generation 1 apps opening and closing instantly with software version

I have a Ipod Touch generation 1 and have just downloaded version 3.1.3 upgrading from 1.1.5. I am now having a problem with all the apps that I have downloaded from the App store through the IPOD. The apps are opening and closing instantly.

By a reset, I believe he is referring to holding down the Home button and the Sleep button both at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen. Ignore the "slide to power off" option that might come up. This process generally takes about 5-15 seconds to see the logo, then about another minute or so after that for the reset to complete.
Now, as for the issue you are seeing, if the reset doesn't resolve it, it might be the same thing I have seen on other iPods. Almost all (if not all) I have seen with this problem have been when the owner unplugged the iPod from their computer before the sync process had fully completed. This seems to leave the iPod app directory structure in some "confused state". Every time I have seen this happen, I have been able to resolve the issue by deleting an app from the device, then re-downloading it using the App Store app on the iPod (while connected to a wifi network). To play it safe, I generally use a free app.
Don't ask me why, but the downloading of an app directly from the device itself seems to reset the iPod app structure and the other apps generally resume wirking properly...

f I get access to the original folders within the library by right-clicking any photo and then being able to browse inside the library, am I going to have any problems if I copy or move those original pictures directly to a folder outside of the iPhoto Library?
Copying photos out will not be a problem if you make no errors - for me that is not a good bet - it is best to stay out of yoru iPhoto library

No - it gives you the current version which may be the original if no changes have been made or will be the current edited version if edits ahve been made

In the iPhoto preferences un check the advanced preference to "copy imported items to the iPhoto library"
HOWEVER - this is not recommended - it makes importing more complicated, deleting more complicated and makes replacing a hard drive or going to a new computer much more difficult - and it puts you totally in charge of your original photos - being sure that they are there and do not get moved
I'd like to have my photos organized by date in the backup as well, so that I don't have to backup all my pictures every time I add new ones, just add the latest to the backup drive.
Finally, any suggestions on what to do with pictures that you scan so that they appear by the date they were taken as opposed to the date they were scanned? Is there a way to modify the date of the photo info?
Select the photos in iPhoto and use the batch change command under the photos menu - the tiem and date option
