Open General preferences in System Preferences. You can set the desired scrollbar behavior there.

ACTIVATING FACETIME AND IMESSAGES
Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:

Looking For Scan and Read Back Applications on the App Store for blind individuals?

Are there anything applications on the app store which for example if you were to scan a document and the user wanted it to be read back to them in text form or what ever the e.g picture had text on them can it be done or is there any application looking for asap?!!

Apps don't go in Passbook, but passes do. You can get passes via both the Starbucks and Apple Store apps. If you sign up for an account in the Starbucks app, you can create a pass and add value to it (or enter an existing Starbucks gift card number). The Apple Store app allows you to send gift cards to people, which can then be added to Passbook.

Why does airport cycle continually between "on" and "looking for networks"

I've been trying to find the answer to this for what seems like weeks. My macbook (Lion), my girlfriends macbook pro (Snowleopard) an iPhone 3G and an iPhone4 all seem to be unable to simply keep a steady connection to my WiFi.
They all connect, but then "looking for network", then "on" and repeat this cycle over and over.
I know this is effecting the signal and data transfer, because if i do a speedtest, you can see the signal drop off to next to nothing when its "looking for network" and come back to strength when "on"
This sometimes causes the connection to hang, or disconnect completely. The cycle length seems to vary, but is generally around 5-8 seconds. Then sometimes it is connected for say 7 secs and then looking for 12 secs.
This is not specific to my network either. My brother who lives 1.5 hours away has the same thing happening on his iMac, and if i log on to his network with my iPhone 4, it shows the same behaviour.
What the **** is going on?
My IP has tested stuff from their end, all is fine. If i connect via the ethernet, no problems. They have changed the router twice and are now sending another, but it must be a problem with Apple devices.
Any ideas?, have i missed the explanation/solution in my searches?

I recommend you reset the TC and use proper SMB network names.. for TC itself, wireless and hard disk.
Use fixed channels.. and different name for 5ghz.
And WPA2 Personal security.
Did you upgrade install ML?? Or was it supplied with Mountain Lion... ?

The result is a lot of waiting...

You seem to understand it. I believe that when you tether, you have a separate allowance (I believe mostly it is 2GB) aside from your normal data balance. When you tether, it automatically uses the 3G to tether, not the wifi and the data will be subtracted from your tethering allotment. When you use data on your phone, it is subtracted from your normal data allowance (the pool not reserved for tethering) but only when using 3G. If you are on wifi on your PHONE (not tethering) it won't subtract. Hope that sort of makes sense.

Please test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
Take the applicable steps in this support article. The Wireless Diagnostics program generates a large file of information about your system, which would be used by Apple Engineering in case of a support incident. Don't post the contents here.
Step 2
Disconnect all USB 3 devices. If you don't know which are USB 3, disconnect all USB devices except keyboard and mouse.
Step 3
If you're not using a wireless keyboard or trackpad, disable Bluetooth by selecting Turn Bluetooth Off from the menu with the Bluetooth icon. If you don't have that menu, open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and check the box marked Show Bluetooth in menu bar. Test. If you find that Wi-Fi works better with Bluetooth disabled, you should use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. Your router may not support it; in that case, you need a new router.

Open the Energy Saver pane in System Preferences and unlock the settings, if necessary. Select the Power Adapter tab, if there is one. Uncheck the box marked

My iPhone continually shows me an Invalid SIM message or SIM Failure. If I switch my phone off and then back on it works ok for a maximum of 10 mins, and then I get the same message appearing. How can I resolve it?

My iPhone 4S keeps on giving me an error message about my SIM Card. It either tells me invalid SIM or SIM Failure. The only way i can rectify this it to switch my phone off and then back on again, but this resolve only lasts for 10-15 Mins, and then the same error message appears. i Had a simular issue years ago with my blackberry on ATT. As it turned out, my SIM had some issues. I would head over to your carrier and get a free sim replacement. It could be a phone or SW issue, but the Sim is my first guess give my experience

YES! This is really killing me and you're the only one to bring it up in discussions! I constantly have to turn it off and on to get it back to norm, and this other reply about clean wiping in/resetting it is just too much of a pain in the @#*. I don't have the apple warranty, but do have verizon as a carrier with insurance. I wonder if they'll have a clue as to what to do, or just default to the idiocy that is the norm.
