Since upgrading to 4.0, I am not able to vertically scroll using my touchpad on my laptop. I know the vertical scroll is ok because it's working fine with excel, word, pdf, etc.

I currently use a Lenovo T61P

i use Gateway NV56. scrolling works everywhere including FF 3.6 but not in 4.
I just gave up and rolled back to 3.6.
Did all that I could find on the forum update driver//turn off add ons//change config stuff.
FF4 is really awesome to look at and use but this is a major deal breaker for me. anyone anyone find a solution for this.... :(

The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

Since upgrading to 3.0, I am not able to synch with iTunes.

Can't synch, can only download photos. The computer does not recognize my phone, but it recognizes my other iPod, using the same cord and USB ports. I have a MacBook. Tried installing latest version of iTunes, Tried restarting computer, etc.
All I get is the spinning globe.

HT2515 My cam works fine with every program except yahoo. If I just sign into yahoo or even if I use ichat for yahoo, the webcam button will not highlight up. How can I fix this and/or what am I doing wrong?

Hello, my father recently passed (using his ID) and I took over the payments on his mac and took his computer. I am not that familiar with mac, but am usually computer savy. However, this one has me stumped. I have no problem starting the built in cam and it seems to work fine with all other programs I've tried using it with. However, it will not work with yahoo. Whether I use normal yahoo messenger or if I try using Yahoo through I chat. The cam button will not light up, therefore, it is not clickable. Which ultimately means I cannot use my cam on yahoo, which is something I use 99% of the time compared to other programs. So why is this happening and what solutions can I take to try and fix this? The mac I am using is: Mac OS X, Version 10.7.4

1) If the iTunes preference window is open when you connect your iPod, the iPod will not be recognized by iTunes.
Also, iPods can work with many iTunes libraries, so that is not the problem here.
Is all the software on your computer up to date?

Does the iPod show up in My Computer when connected to your computer? Does it say Do Not Disconnect?

2) What part aren't you understanding. Here are a couple of free programs you can use to convert videos...
MPEG Streamclip
Videora iPod Converter
The programs should come with documentation and instructions to convert videos.
3) You can go to file-->add file to library, file-->add folder to library, or have iTunes open and drag the files into the iTunes library while viewing the library.. You can also import from CDs.
iTunes needs to be adding the songs to the iPod. You cannot just add the song files to the iPod.

Works fine here on Linux. Make sure that you do not block [[JavaScript]].
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Since upgrading to Maverick my iPhoto does not consistently download my Nikon or my Canon camera photos.

Occasionally it will recognize and download photos, most of the time though it hangs in "loading" mode with nothing downloaded. I've unplugged, replugged numerous times, tried a different USB port, tried the two cameras so it's not the camera or line that's the issue, turned the computer off, turned iphoto off, turned everything else off and stil nothing. I need my photos for my work and can't get to them, this seems to be an issue with Maverick AGAIN!!! Is there a fix? HELP! Thanks!

Thank you for your help Terence. I had 140 photos on my Nikon, none were viewable in iphoto, in Image Capture 5 were viewable, 135 weren't. I tried importing one to my desktop but it remained static and didn't move over. I just deleted all the photos on my camera, took a fresh photo and after waiting a good 4 minutes finally uploaded to both iphoto and Image Capture. As this took so long for one photo I'm wondering if the memory in my computer would impact the speed. I have 350GB used and 150GB left
By reformat the cards do you mean the flash card in the camera? I don't know how to do that, it's less that 6 months old.

Since the last 9 days after upgrading my Iphone 4 I am not able to access my text messages or send texts. I have attempted to delete the "68" messages however, once deleted for a period 2-3 seconds. The deleted messages reappears! I have reset. restored. did back-ups! Nothing has altered this problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Please help? Thanks :-)

I have changed My DNS to Google and Verizon and now get intermittent connections but mostly failure to connect. I believe this is a DNS issue with Apple domain. Have they modified their address registrations? Why is At&T cellular working but not my wireless that's Verizon ISP?

I see no need to downgrade or restore to factory defaults. It is only spefcific to one wifi network - my work. The one at home works fine. I am wondering if the problem has something to do with iOS 6 not liking the router, or the password, etc. Upgrades shouldn't downgrade functionality - why should I have to use the now inferior OS to maintain wifi functionality - that's ridculous. Does anyone from Apple monitor these forums? It would be nice to get an answer from the source of the issue - which is clearly Apple's new OS because everything was working fine before I upgraded to iOS 6 yesterday.

Hello and welcome to the Apple Discussions Forum.
I have hardly any experience with HP printers but since your posting has not been replied to yet I thought I'd offer some assistance.
With the printer status and ink levels working, it shows that you have a connection to the printer. So I would look at the issue being with the protocol being used for the print queue on the Mac.
Since you have XP and Vista working, I would check the printer queue configuration on either box. In XP, go to the Properties and select Ports. Click the Configure Port tab to view the connection. If you are using RAW, then this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on OS X. So if you are not sure what protocol was used before I would create another printer queue, this time selecting IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket. Then enter your IP address and select the K5400dn from the Print Using menu.
If this still fails to print then please reply. There may be limitations with adding the HP driver this way that I am not aware of. There may also be other driver options you can look at, such as HPIJS. If Greg Sahli reads this posting he has expert knowledge on this matter and will be able to offer some guidance.

How about if you right click on the PDF and select Save Link As..., and then open it locally from within Reader? Does it work ok then? That might be a workaround until the issue within the browser is resolved.

Connected, but no wifi traffic (at home).
After upgrade to iOS 6 i am not able to use wifi. I am connected to my home wifi but no trafic is coming through (safari, skype, twitter, app store). I have even tried recovery of my iPhone 4S using iTunes as well as using iPhone. But without effect.

When I try to play youtube video I get the message of blocked plug-in, and I can not play video using Safari. (Youtube works fine with google chrome) I tried installing flash player HTML5 etc... but still no difference.

I just installed OSX Mountian Lion, and ever since then I can not play youtube video's. I get the message of 'Blocked Plug-in' in the youtube screen. I have tried installing Adobe Flash Player. HTML 5, also tried enabling/disabling java, but nothing worked out. Is there any way I can play youtbe vieos on Safar. (It works fine with Google Chrmoe, only safari has problem)

If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
Try uninstalling the currently installled Flash plugin (required for most YouTube content) then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
From your Safari menu bar top of your screen click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now from the menu bar click Develop > Empty Caches
