Downloading it again, most of the artwork has been mixed up with other artists, and I'm no longer able to stream or download over 3G (all tracks greyed out), though my network settings etc are all set correctly.
Lastly since upgrading to iOS 7.0.1 (and beyond) Genuis has become effectively useless: it continually asks me to connect to wi-fi, and if I do it creates playlists mostly composed of tracks by the same artists or those very obviously linked to them- previously it created brilliant, nuanced playlists.
Are these things connected, and how do I fix them?
I have done this on numerous occasions but I think that my Iphone has a defect. After many tries, reinstalls, deletion of content, changing content to be stored on external hard drive, deleting itunes and cleaning computer I managed to get all of the songs on and things seemed okay for a while.
The problem returned about a week ago after downloading a new album from Itunes. I now have 12.5k of songs leaving 10gb spare on Iphone which should be more than enough room to operate properly. Last night it seemed to be dowloading ok (after doing all of the above again for the umpteenth time) this morning it revealed that it had just synched 2.5k of songs and 18gb of "other" on the contents bar. it wont synch now as it says its over capacity. So the 18gb of "other" would probably be corrupted data that means it must corrupt each song as it tries to synch it.
The 2.5k of songs it did synch are working on the Iphone as is every song in the library on Itunes. I did completely delete the new album I bought and redownloaded it from the store then tried to synch just that album and it worked fine.
Just about time to dump apple I think!

I have three computers, each with its own iTunes Library, but if I add material to one, every few days I make sure that it's copied over to the others via homesharing. However, some of the metadata does not transfer, specifically the album art work. So on one library, call it my Home Library, everything is nice and tidy, with album artwork where it should be. Second, artwork can optionally be embedded in a media file. You can, for example, have an album where no artwork is actually in the files but all use a reference copy in the artwork folder. Even if a file has artwork embedded it may still use the version in the artwork folder.
Embedded artwork travels with the file when you copy the file.
I am hazy as to when exactly iTunes will embed artwork and when it won't. I believe, for example, if you use iTunes to fetch artwork it will not embed it, it will just place a copy in the artwork folder. Then too I never use iTunes to fetch artwork and I usually end up with artwork embedded in a file or two per LP (each embedded copy uses up more disk space). Now, I still use iTunes 7.5 and new versions may not behave exactly the same. If it was my version and I added artwork to a file it would embed it and it would transfer. It sounds like your artwork isn't embedded even if you are adding it the same way I would (I drag mine to the little arwork display box in the bottom left corner of my window, which apparently has vanished completely in iTunes 11).

Just remember embedding artwork adds to each file size, so if you have 1000 files and you add 2 MB of high quality scans to each track you are taking up 2 GB more of drive space. -
i just upgraded my software to OS X 10.9.2 (13C64) and i can no longer use my printer (epsun stylus sx235w). any ideas why this would happen?
Mavericks is the name of your operating system. It is otherwise known as OSX 10.9.
The previous versions were indeed "cat things".
The way you would know if you need to download new software from Epson is to go the Epson website and search for your printer there, look for downloads, and see if they have new software listed for 10.9.
You can revert your system back to what it was two weeks ago. This would be easier to do if you have a backup that you made prior to installing Mavericks (like with Time Machine). If you don't have a backup (sounds like you probably don't), you can look here for some directions about how to go back to the "Cat Thing" that you had prior to installing Mavericks: How to revert OS X back from Mavericks: Apple Support Communities
If all of this is too hard for you, you could take your Mac in to your Apple store and ask them to help you. -
When I try to sync I get a message that says "waiting for items the sync" then it just stays there and runs for as long as I keep it hooked up. Any ideas?
I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. I am not crazy about using internet explorer, but right now, it is my only option. I even tried to start in safe mode, and the same message box pops up!

Can I sync contacts and calendars with iTunes Match enabled?
I’m getting an iPhone in a couple of weeks and really want iTunes match but the more I read about it the more I’m wondering whether it’ll be worth the hassle. I’ve loads of old CD rips at 128 kbps and protected iTunes files, also at 128 kbps, and what really attracts me is the idea of upgrading all these to unprotected 256 kbps.
I have a Macbook for personal use and a PC for work, being able to sync both computers to the phone will be essential for me. I know that I wouldn’t be able to sync music with iTunes match enabled but if I can sync contacts and calendars and drag Office documents to the phone from both computers that would be OK.

If it is possible for you to do so you might want to consider signing up for an iCloud account <http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html>. Keep in mind that iCloud and iTunes Match are seperate services. One does not require the other. However iCloud will work with Outlook 2007 and up so you can keep all your contacts in sync across the devices. You can also sign up for iTunes Match if you want. Or you might even consider using Google to do what you want. It is not necessary for you to keep syncing via USB, unless that is just what you are comfortable doing. -
I had all of my music on an external hard drive that crashed. I have iTunes Match so all of my music was synced in the cloud. How do I now re-load my music back down onto a new external hard drive?

After restarting my computer firefox is deleted for Windows, when i try to open firefox a message pops up saying the program has been moved from its original location and is unable to run How do I get Firefox on my computer permanently?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Yesterday I discovered a pop-up attached to my Mozilla Firefox, it was essentially a white box, with a grey bar inside, which I dangerously clicked as it would not allow me to close or access my Mozilla. Clicking the box revealed an ad for something call PC Keeper which now also shows in my remembered links as being in a second window. I was forced to shut down my computer to close the Mozilla, making all my links unavailable to me, and ultimately had to uninstall it from my computer. I attempted to reinstall a new version, but, again found this PC Keeper attached to it, it's white window firmly locking everything up, and forcing me again to uninstall the program. Please, find me a way to once more have my Mozilla without this PC Keeper.
You seem to have an idea that a virus will break your laptop, which isn't true. Viruses do not cause physical damage to a computer, anything they do is software related, all of which can be undone.
I think that you may be leaving your Firefox profile intact when you uninstall Firefox, is that true? Are you checking the box "Delete user data" when you uninstall Firefox?
Don't just give up, this is something we can resolve if you will just work with us :) and i promise, your computer will not be damaged and you won't have to buy a new one. I've spent 6 years removing viruses and never had one so bad a computer had to be replaced -
Atv 1 no longer able to stream or copy over movies

I have the original atv which since installing lion seems to no longer be able to stream movies without them stopping about every minute, or be able to copy the movie over from itunes, for example it has been copying a movie over from itunes all day and its still not done.
Anyone having the same issue
Does anyone have an answer.
I have all system up to date with latest itunes
Funnily enough I can watch the movies stream to my iphone from my mac with no issues,
I have changed channels on the router and have a reasonable connection speed.

I am no longer able to resize my firefox window horizontally, any ideas?
I noticed earlier that I can no longer resize my firefox window horizontally, the border seems to have disappeared. I've searched, using google and various other sites to find a solution to this and I'm coming up short. I've tried multiple things, safe mode, hitting F11, clearing the cache/cookies, even reinstalling. The issue still exists and I don't know what caused it. It is also affecting various flash applications, they no longer scale to the window size and parts are cut off. Any ideas?

I can resize it Vertically fine but Horizontally doesn't work regardless of what I've tried. I gave thought to the localstore being corrupted as well and even tried making a new profile, it didn't solve the issue. I have added a screenshot showing the window, I don't have it maxed, I used to have 2 borders - 1 on the left and 1 on the right that I could hover over and it would let me resize using the mouse. They no longer exist. I'm using the default theme even since that was suggested as a solution on another forum topic.
Also, small edit, I apologize for choosing the solution as the fix, it's 3 am and I'm half asleep so I clicked the button meaning to click reply.
Second edit: I noticed one of my explorer windows having the same issue and part of the border not being there at all so I unloaded Windowblinds and the problem is solved, looks like my profile on it got damaged. Thanks for the replies. Topic can be closed. -

imac running Mavericks and updated pagesWhen I opened a Pages template for the first time, it asked me if Pages could access my contacts. I said yes, but it sounds like you said no. You can give pages permission by going to System Preferences, then Security & Privacy, then click the Privacy tab, then click Contacts in the sidebar, then make sure that Pages is checked. I would quit and restart Pages after doing this, just to be sure it goes through.

As the title says. I've lost all of my contacts, from both phones and icloud.
That's the way things are supposed to work...all devices using the same iCloud account are kept in sync. You delete on one device, & it deletes on all, including iCloud. Unless you have a backup that contains your contacts, or they are in a supported application on your computer, they are gone.
You should have deleted the iCloud account, on the iPhone 4, before giving the phone away.
