Since upgrading to 8.0.1, I can't change my Privacy History setting.

Since upgrading to 8.0.1, my pinned application tabs disappear every time I restart firefox. One of the troubleshooting suggestions was to change Options.Privacy.History to "Use Custom Settings for History". I make this change and close the Options dialog. If I reopen the Options dialog, my changes are gone. Any ideas?

To the original question of how to sync. If you have tried the usual routes via selecting Playlists from your Device Music page. And/Or Drag and dropping a playlist onto your device and neither work, it may be that your songs are unchecked.
Right Click on a song in your playlist you are trying to sync. If the entryies at the bottom give you the option to Check selection. Then click this and repeat for all songs in that playlist. You can select all songs in a playlist by Cmd + A
If you see Uncheck Selection then this is not the cause. It must be something else.

Thank you Meta, but I could not get the calendar and contact sync with Gmail to work. Apple support already suggested to use Google or a Windows PC. Maybe I should actually reset and try my old Windows PC. Seriously, ... can this be the solution after a Mac OS update for pure Apple users?

I have recently upgraded to windows 8.1 and can no longer see my local files in the files window. All remote files for all remote sites are visable.
If I change sites under local view get error thet dreamweaver can not update cache

I honestly don't know if DW CS5 is compatible with Win 8.1. The OS compatibility FAQ only mentions DW CS6 & CC.

Since upgrading to os 10.6, I can't drag email addresses into my address book

Since upgrading to OS 10.6, I can no longer drag email addresses into my address book. Is there a quick way to restore this function that had worked in OS 10.4 but is apparently disabled in 10.6? Is there a work around someone figured out that's quick? I wish Apple would send out a patch to fix this problem. Any news on this front?

By "game center account", do you mean Apple ID?
If so, you can change it.
1. Tap settings and navigate to iTunes and App Stores
2. Tap "Apple ID" and then tap "Sign Out"
3. Log in with a different ID.

You need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, install it, and run the 10.6.8 combo updater. Mac OS X 10.6 requires a Mac with an Intel CPU and at least 1GB of RAM.

I use ALO and like to search my old mail to bring up all the mail I have received from a particular person. Since upgrading to 5.0.1 I always get the notice that there is no match for the email that I try to search. I know this is not true. How can I get the search engine back?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

Since upgrading to 10.8 my iMac can't see video files to copy across in Finder when connecting my AVCHD camcorder via USB

Hi, I usually connect my Panasonic AVCHD Camcorder via USB to copy the .MTS files across to my iMac for editing. Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, Finder sees the directories for photos stored on the Camcorder but not the video directories/files. I can see them via Parallels. Any ideas why?

ML will show the AVCHD as a pkg, so you are not able view the directories like BDMV-->Stream-->MTS. You can right click AVCHD file, then choose show package contents. you will see BDMV, then you right click BDMV to choose show package, you will see stream folder, just do it again, you will find MTS files. Next time if you want to check the MTS files you just need to do above again. right click AVCHD....
Another way, rename AVCHD to AVCHD.mts then do it same with BDMV and Stream folder, it will let you see MTS files after that. Those mts files will keep showing on your mac next time.

Since upgrading to 10.6.8, I can't sync to my calculator and my ipod nano flashes yellow. Could 10.6.8 have closed some ports needed?

I have a TI-92+ calculator, and the TI Connect software to sync it.
Since the 10.6.8 update, I can't access the calculator to add software.
The cable reads as present in System Profiler.
Also, my iPod Nano is flashing yellow but not mounting in iTunes.
I am wondering if 10.6.8 is blocking a port the TI Connect software needs.
The iTunes issue might be resolved by ripping iTunes out, deleting it, and reinstalling it.
But I tried that with TI Connect and it didn't help.
I just got a bunch of software to put on the calculator and can't access it !

It depends on what iMac you have. If it is an old PPC (G4 orG5) iMac then no further upgrades are possible. If it an Intel iMac:

Since upgrading my 4s iPhone to the latest iOS , I now can not see many wi-fi locations beyond my home network. Friends can find and connect to many wifi networks yet my iPhone does not even see them. I can not recall prior to the upgrade whether in the settings whether turning on the wifi was shown as wifi or WLAN however the on/off is now WLAN. Not sure what the difference is. I totally reset the phone but no improvement. Can any body help me?

MMake sure screen rotation lock isn't on by swiping up from the bottom to open control panel, then look on the top right, there is a lock with an arrow circling it, make sure it's not highlighted. If it isn't try turning your phone off then on again. If that doesnt work try a hated restart by holding done the home and power buttons at the same time until you see the apple on the screen. If that doesn't work you could try restoring your phone or make an appointment with an Apple genius at the Apple Store, your accelerometer may be broken. Hope this helps.

What I would call "body" copy is appearing in an unreadable script font on web pages and in emails since upgrading to Firefox 6.0, what can I do to resolve this?

Since upgrading to Firefox 6.0, some copy is appearing in a script font that is really difficult to read. I first noticed it in the body of an email I received, but then saw it on some web sites I was visiting. It also appears when I am typing.
I am on a Mac.

Also, here is what I've done so far to try and troubleshoot it...
I checked other browsers on my computer and it's not happening, I went through and checked for corrupt fonts on my computer, I double checked my font settings in Firefox prefs, I did a google search and attempted all the things I saw listed as potential fixes and nothing is working.
