Since upgrading to 9.01, FF starts up with previous tabs open. Hovering over the FF icon in the Windows Task Bar shows the thumbnails of the pages. But clicking any of the thumbnails to bring the browser window up fail.
I can right click the FF icon in the task bar and click Open New Window, and a new blank window appears, but none of the existing tabs will open.

Hi I Run Windows 7. Since upgrading to Firefox 4.0 I am unable to "clear history" and get the message "QuickTime failed to initialize". I can delete history when in safe mode with plug-ins disabled. Re-installing quick time fails to resolve the issue. Any ideas or suggestions?

Opening ASDocs in the browser window
It's a minor annoyance, but I need help changing a user preference setting that I've looked and looked for, but couldn't find the answer. How can I have the FB IDE open ASDocs of Flex4 documentation with the default browser? For instance, when I highlight a word and press shift+F2, most of he time, it opens up in the browser, but sometimes it opens up Flash Builder Help, often when the word doesn't belong in the Flex4 framework. But now, it's only opening up ASDocs in FB Help, and I prefer the browser. I don't think I changed anything, and I would really like to understand the system of ASDocs support. Thank you for any insights.

Since upgrading to Firefox 4 I cannot get PDF files to open in the browser using Acrobat 9.0
I have my Application options set to "Use Adobe Acrobat 9.0 (default)," yet clicking on a pdf link causes the file to be downloaded and opened outside of the browser.
I've checked for missing plug-ins, but that only leads me to a download page for Adobe Reader 10, which should not be necessary since I already have the full version of Acrobat.In my case it's with .puz files, which are crossword puzzle files used by sites like the New York Times and read by the application AcrossLite. I went into preferences and tried to change the action for the file type from "Save File" to AcrossLite but it would not take. Set it instead to "Always Ask" and then in the dialogue box selected AcrossLite and "always do this" and it gave an unknown error.
This is FF 4 on a Mac. -
I noticed when I restart Firefox 4, it opens my previous tabs even I set the option "Open a blank page" and it opens blank page when I have "Show my windows and tabs from last time". Please ignore my question if you're already aware of this issue. Thanks.

I've read your question/problem once more and now I am a bit confused. All you want to do is to open the PDF file in a new window and you don't need to do something in the backing bean? Just use a link with target="_blank".

when I right-click a link to open in another tab, the new tab opens not in the original window but in the first Firefox window of the session.
I deleted sessionstore.js from the profile and restarted Firefox but that did not helpSounds like this bug:

I sure can, after exporting, place the swf file of the
presentation, manually, in an html file (instead of using the
index.html that is created in the publishing) this way it will

Maximizing mdi and sdi pages all over the browser
I'm using forms 9i.I usually maximize the mdi window with the following command at when-new-form-instance trigger:
set_window_property(forms_mdi_window,window_state,maximize);
set_window_property('winodw1',winodw_state,maximize);
This command does not maximize the mdi and sdi all over the browser window.
Is there a way to do it.

The Browser is not under the control of Forms. You can start a Browser Window without menu and toolbar from Javascript, but there is no way for Forms at runtime to switch off the Browser settings.
As an alternative solution you can run Forms with the separateFrame parameter set to true in the formsweb.cfg file.

This just started happening.. I open Itunes and the little round rainbow loading indicator just goes on and doesnt stop.. My itunes wont function.. It gets stuck. Then i have to force quit.. I tried to shut down and restart. also reloaded the latest itune 11.1.3 and it still gets stuck.
i use an external HD and thats fine.. all files are in there. But I have no idea why my itunes app is getting stuck.

In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.

First of all, are you using the OS native screen capture?
If not, make sure the application you're using has been update for Lion. I was using Snapz Pro for years, but I need to update it for use with Lion. Meanwhile Grab and the keyboard shortcuts are working on my Lion load.
If you are using the native capture mode unsuccessfully, I would run the Disk Utility and repair permissions on the drive. For some reason, even in past OS Versions, routine maintenance of permissions makes life a lot easier. -
