Take it to your local Apple Store or AASP, it's covered by a 1 year hardware warranty. If you have AppleCare then give them a call but I'm pretty sure they will advise the same. If you have not purchased AppleCare yet please do, this will extend the warranty to 3 years however it MUST be purchased within the first year of ownership. Let it go 366 days and you are out of luck. AppleCare will also include telephone support too.

On my iphone, when I get into Messages, I see a list of message thread names and at the top right is an icon with a square and pencil coming out of it. If I tap it, I can begin composing a new message with having to deal with any others.
If on your screen you see one or more message "bubbles", then press the "Messages" button at the upper left to go back to the home page for messages. There you can tap the compose icon.

If you have an external drive with an OS X Time Machine backup, then do restore of your last backup. If you have an external drive with a bootable clone of your previous system, you can boot to that clone and re-clone the OS X on your external drive back to your Mac's internal drive.
If you do not have either of these available, then the reverting/restoring process becomes much more complicated and involves purchasing an external drive and backing up your current system to that drive, then erasing, reformatting your hard drive and now your only options to installng an OS X version is doing a clean install of OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, then upgrading, again, to either OS X 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion. OS X 10.9 Mavericks is no longer available for download and Apple has not made OS X 10.9 Mavericks available in any other form to be able to redownload and install.
Maybe it would be better to explain in detail your issues with Yosemite to see if any of us here can help you with your difficulties.

I haven't been able to update Firefox since 10.01 or 10.02 because every time I try I get the same message the "7-ZIP File" is missing. Then the update fails. I've submitted this problem to Mozilla Firefox and, got an immediate reply of " they are researching your problem".
Well, you can tell how long that has been. Is there anything I can do, or any where I can go to get the file I need?
Any constructive help would be very much appreciated! I'm not sure If I'll ever be able to find where this is located. But I do appreciate help just the same.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
Disable your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes installing work.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

HT1414 My Apple ID username on my iPhone4 is seemingly locked on an old, unseable ID when I try to access the App Store on the iPhone. Everywhere else it has been updated (itunes etc.). How do I get past this no longer useable email/AppleID?

The phone has been restored from settings from an old iPod Touch. The Apple ID username there worked well then, but I have since updated that. The email is no longer useable (university) and the passwords I have tried do not work - nor should they since I have updated my Apple account. Again, it's only when I try to access the App Store on my iPhone does this Apple ID problem surface. Please help! Thanks.

Why can I no longer acess the Youtube app on the home page since upgrading to iOS6? It's replaced with a Clock App.

The application Youtube is gone from the home page and is no longer listed in the Settings. When I use Safari to access Youtube most of the videos will not play and state "Not authorized by subscriber" or another such statement. All of these same videos can be acessed by my PC so this is very frustrating. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated! Thanks.

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6 (I think because the licensing agreement with google ended). You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or (if this isn't the version that you have tried) try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

Since upgrading to ios6 some of my applications crash continually, notably MailOnline and Word for Friends.

I have a 4th gen 8Gb iPod. Since upgrading to ios6 I can no longer play Words with Friends and have difficulty reading the news on MailOnLine due to crashes. Some other internet dependant apps are also giving trouble occasionally. Is ios6 not compatible with these apps? Can I change back to ios5?

Since upgrading to IOS6 on my 4s, some of my sms messages (international) are no longer delivered to other phone users (nokia, etc.), even though it shows sent in the message screen. I do however receive sms messages from these numbers. These numbers are correct and I can call or receive calls on the same numbers. Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

Since upgrade, Facebook redirects into a new browser window

I noticed for the past couple of days that when I'd be in facebook and click on a game it would open a new tab. But since upgrading it opens a whole new browser window.
Tonight I was playing Monopoly and it kept saying that my internet connection was lost (which this may be a problem with the game itself) but I didn't know if it was because I had several browser windows open all for FACEBOOK!

Since upgrading to ios6, all the family's apple devices (new ipad, 2 iphone4 & itouch) are having difficulty reconnecting to the home hub wifi network. I.e, every time the lock screen comes on, the wifi connection is lost when you reopen the device and we have to reconnect through settings. This appears to be an ios6 software issue.
Is there a solution to this wifi connection issue or do we wait for a software fix?
I'd hate to think Apple is going down the Microsoft path, of passing untested software onto the user. What ever happened to Regression Testing, to ensure the existing functionality remains intact?
I bought into the Apple dream, because it was intuitive, reliable & enjoyable to use, all the things that Microsoft windows isn't.
Other issues we are experiencing are, Games are stuttering and the kids really miss the old YouTube app.
Please Mr Browett, sort these issues out.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

YouTube is not now part of iOS 6.
However, you can go to the App Store and do a search using YouTube. You can download several YouTube apps: YouTube (for the iPhone, a IPad app is in work), several users like Jasmine and YouPlayer.

Since updating to ios6 I can't view any music on my iPhone. Previously i had all music library matched and could view everything on my phone as could my husband on his iPhone. My husbands still able to view music since upgrading to io6 but I can't. I have an iPhone 4 and he has an iPhone 4S. It originally showed the artists and showed songs but there were no album names or track names and the length of each song was 0:00. Now there is nothing at all showing and no playlists. All my music and playlists are on iTunes. Please help!

I had the same problem. Could not connect my iPad (3/new) to the personal hotspot from my iphone4. Bothe are running ios6.
I don't know if this will permanently fix your problem but it seemed to work for me.
First, restart both (iPhone and iPad).
Then, on the iPad go to settings - general - Siri, and turn Siri off.
Now turn on hotspot on your phone and connect your iPad.
Hopefully this helped.

Since upgrading to iOS6 my iPhone 4S is useless, calls are being disconnected and also the phone is often failing to dial out, is apple going to bring in any solutions? Maybe it's time to start looking to another phone company.

Let me start by saying I have been searching these threads for a week for an already posted answer and tried all suggested remedies with no results.
My specifics,
After a couple days ignoring the pop up to upgrade my iPhone 4CDMA to iOS6, I accidentally clicked to upgrade now button. When it finished my phone shut off, restarted with a time and date of 12/31/1969, searching for carrier signal, no wifi, all 300 contacts gone, along with all notes, reminders and text history. Within a minute, with my jaw hitting the ground my phone once again shut off. Then came on. Kept repeating in this manner.
What I've attempted so far,
The only way I am able to get my phone out of this constant boot loop in order to attempt anything is to plug it to my mophie or wall outlet. It still reboots repeatedly but will remain on for periods lasting up to six or seven minutes before shutting down again. My PC runs on winxp, I first updated to the current version of iTunes before connecting via USB, not a hub, followed the prompts t restore and as soon as the iTunes begins the process my computer crashes. Did this three times. Went to a friends with win7, could not get iTunes to recognize my phone at all. Went to another friends put my device into DFU when iTunes recognized it restore failed cuz my connection doesn't last long enough to complete. I then manually installed the .ipsw and tried it that way thinking it might be faster but it wasn't fast enough. I'm past warranty, I don't have Apple Care, I don't qualify for another upgrade until Nov 24 besides which a new phone doesn't resolve my lost data.
Can anyone help me?
