Since upgrading to IOS7.0.3 i have been having issues with my emails. My phone used to keep historical emails for months in the inbox provided I didnt exceed the mesage limit set, not it purges my emails so it only retains 2-3 days at most.
Help - I need to retain more than 2-3 days of email for work. There used to be functionaility on settings to enaure I retained alot of my emails, I cant find this functionality anywhere anymore
What type of account is this, POP, IMAP, Exchange? If Exchange, one of the options is to determine the number of mail days to sync. The setting may have changed, but you can set it to 1-3 days, 1-2 weeks, or 1 month. POP accounts do not have this function at all, and I don't have an IMAP account, so I cannot confirm that. How many applications do you run simultaneously in the background while working in another application?
Do you run any antivirus software on your Mac? Antivirus software can slow down the normal operation of OS X.
Do you run any "crapware" like Mackeeper or any other type of so called hard drive "cleaning" apps?
Have you downloaded and installed anything recently that might have caused the erratic behaviour of your iMac? -
I have been having issues with not receiving texts and voicemails daily, for a few months now. If I turn the phone completely off, when I turn it back on the messages will flood in from hours before. I can't be continually turning off my phone in case someone left me a message. How do I resolve this issue?
Wifi: my Cell phone will remember 10 wifi connections. So delete any you don't use often and your home wifi and try to enter home wifi again.
if it still won't connect to home wifi, call your internet provider for help. You may need a newer router or different settings Or upgraded service. Your phone seeks the best connection and will refuse lesser connections.
last resort. Backup the phone. Do a full reset, then restore as new with the backup.
if still not fixed, go back to apple and insist on repair or replacement.
HOWEVER. voicemail is not a wifi issue, it's a carrier function, which is why the SIM card is a suspect. -
Since downloading OS X Yosemite I have been having issues with Netflix. Video slows down which causes the audio to go out of sync. Netflix plays ok on ipad which makes me think it's the software which is the issue. Has anyone else had this issue?
Try this:
Go to System Preferences - Bluetooth. Delete the keyboard from the list of devices by pressing the "-" button. Take the batteries out of the keyboard and reinsert them. In Bluetooth Preferences press the '+" button to add the new device. If the keyboard begins to pair, click the word "pair" and type in the passcode. Press return. The keyboard is now paired.
If the mouse is not pairing, try this: shut down the computer completely, unplug any USB mice, then turn off the power to the bluetooth mouse. ONce the computer starts up again, wait for the pop-up looking for a mouse. Turn on the power to the bluetooth mouse. It should work normally now. -
I have been having issues with my iCloud email on my iMac. For some time period, everyday, it won't reload and often shows symbols instead of letters for the text. Any ideas how to solve?
All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

Your iBookG4 is still a pretty awesome Mac. Like already said, it has the power to run Leopard, but it depends if you have an internal DVD drive.
Then I suppose you have to add up the cost of the OS, perhaps another 512MB RAM, iLife 08 and replacements for any favourite apps that you currently use (Leopard breaks a lot of stuff, but Intel breaks even more). Compare it to the cost of a new MacBook, which wil have all of that included and be 3-4x faster too.
It also depends on what you want to achieve with your iBook. My PMG4 still cuts it today, I still use it in preference to my new Mac Pro, It's about the same age as your iBook, and I'll only stop using it when it becomes "painfully" slow. My 1 year old son currently uses the Mac Pro (parts for a Mac Pro are easier to replace than those for a PMG4).
I think your choice is simple, if you can a cheap copy of Tiger, use that, it'll get your iPod Touch up and running. It came in DVD and 4 CD version (by request).
Leopard will work for you too but a lot of the best eye-candy requires quite a meaty graphics card and you may need a RAM upgrade and replacement software - OS9 Classic is not supported in Leopard. -
Has iTunes Match been flaky for anyone else lately. I have been having issues with some of my songs. Some of the songs play, some skip.
Either import your Songs into a new clean library, or rebuild your existing library - it would appear your current library is corrupt.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Had to remove it for the last & final time. I love & miss my Firefox, but can't take the chance of someone getting into my system. The upgrade had yahoo toolbar which is always easy to get rid of (thank God) but I have this yellow sign in my popup that says something about the system not being safe, & we can not go to any web sites. Why is it everything that is upgraded always turns out to be BULL. I can not use Firefox for anything, so once again had to remove it using the programs & features update/remove. I have contacted apple support for itunes many many times and no results. I can tell you there support group is not us based. One person I got was in germany I believe the other in Ireland. one went on vacation the other took over and now no emails at all on the status of my account thats been locked for over a month with no resolution in site. Isnt this a publicly traded company? Does anybody know how to get a hold of the board or someone above the service providers Im dealing with or a phone number? Emails are great but there no resolution from a person that can hide behind a computer screen.
hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

So yeah, this has been going on the past week. When I tap to upload my apps, some update right away, but others won't. Sometimes they will dowload half way, sometimes they won't at all, what causes them to stop is this little message that pops up saying, "This app cannot be downloaded at this time." and it gives you options 'Done' or 'Retry." Instinctively I hit retry. Through the course of the day I did this, I kept hitting retry, and eventually all the apps that were updating, updated, but not very effieciently. All apps updated, except for one, Facebook. No matter how anytimes I hit retry, it wouldn't update. I got real sick and tired of it, so I deleted it. I decided to go through everything and delete old apps, pictures, music, thinking that I didn't have enough space. I go to download an app I've already had to test this theory out: Still doesn't work. The stupid thing won't even TRY to download. So, is there any way I can fix this without taking a sledgehammer to my iPod? Because, honestly, I am severly ticked off at how stubborn this is. Please help. Before my patience runs out and I break this thing.

I have been having problems with 2 of my phones
i have a nokia 6085 and although i have had it a while i havent used it. i have put my vodaphone sim card in it and it recognises it but will not let me phone or text anyone. vodaphone are not to blame as my sim card works in any other phone. it just says error in connection.
I also have another phone n73 phone which i have given to my husband however his sim card is a o2 on my phone is vodaphone. we have paid vodaphone 20 to get it unlocked but they have told ud the code nokia are providing is not the right code can you please help as we are unable to use these phones which are both under warranty.It is possible that there could be damage to the SIM that the 6085 can't get past but another phone can, does any SIM work in this phone? If the phone is faulty, then with a basic model like this the most you can do is restore factory settings, which I suspect will not help in this case. You may have to get the phone repaired by a service centre?
The only company with the legal authority to changed the lock status of a SIM-locked phone is the network to which it is locked. If the phone was factory-locked, then if the network has lost the code they can apply for it from the manufacturer (only the network can do this, manufacturers will never give unlocking information to the public). If Vodafone have given you incorrect codes or instructions how to enter them, and you have made several attempts, then the phone SIM-lock status could itself be locked as they only allow so many attempts in case of theft.
Vodafone are the only people who can legitimately assist you with unlocking your phone. -

I try to click on the games or other users names or anything that opens another link and it crashes. This has been happening off and on for about a month but has gotten regular in the last 4 or 5 days. Anybody have any ideas?? Also, it seems that Firefox has affected Adobe. i have the same problem with the above..firefox is running too slow with the games in facebook..but it runs good when browsing my updates, msgs, photos...firefox is totally opposite of IE..IE is faster with the games and slow while browsing..i love to use mozila but when i do games it really pisses me off...hope you could help me..
