I had the same problem (freezing iphone when trying to unlock) today.
1) I made a backup of my iphone using itunes.
2) Went to my service provider and made a sim swap. So, I think there was a problem with the nano simcard.
Problem solved.

Frustratingly, since I upgraded to Yosemite 10.10, I too am having the worst problems with WiFi dropping out. I've never had this problem before on my iMac 27-inch mid 2011 model. Please test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
Take the applicable steps in this support article. The Wireless Diagnostics program generates a large file of information about your system, which would be used by Apple Engineering in case of a support incident. Don't post the contents here.
Step 2
Disconnect all USB 3 devices. If you don't know which are USB 3, disconnect all USB devices except keyboard and mouse.
Step 3
If you're not using a wireless keyboard or trackpad, disable Bluetooth by selecting Turn Bluetooth Off from the menu with the Bluetooth icon. If you don't have that menu, open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and check the box marked Show Bluetooth in menu bar. Test. If you find that Wi-Fi works better with Bluetooth disabled, you should use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. Your router may not support it; in that case, you need a new router.
Step 4
Open the Energy Saver pane in System Preferences and unlock the settings, if necessary. Select the Power Adapter tab, if there is one. Uncheck the box marked
Wake for Wi-Fi network access
if it's checked.
Step 5
Open the Network pane in System Preferences and make a note of your settings in the Wi-Fi service. It may be helpful to take screenshots of the various tabs in the preference pane. If the preference pane is locked, unlock it by clicking the padlock icon and entering your administrator password. Delete Wi-Fi from the service list on the left by selecting it and clicking the minus-sign button at the bottom. Then recreate the service by clicking the plus-sign button and following the prompts.
Step 6
In the Wi-Fi settings, select
Advanced... ▹ TCP/IP ▹ Configure IPv6: Link-local
Click OK and then Apply.
Step 7
Reset the System Management Controller.
Step 8
Reset the PRAM.
Step 9
Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
Step 10
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service center. -
Ok I just went to post this and it said it has not been asked before and asked me to log in with more info. The title says it all really. The option is there under tools and looks normal but it has no functionality.
My adblock plus is still blocking ads, so even though I can't see or access my add ons they are still working in the background.
I searched for add ons and tried to install one to see if it would open them up and restart firefox but once I selected 'install', again... nothing happens.
Has anyone else had this problem?Try to uninstall the current Java version and maybe delete the Java installation folder (C:\Java) if that didn't work.

From which folder did you delete the extensions.* files?
Firefox should have recreated at least extensions.rdf.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.I've never had this problem before... today I opened iTunes and it prompted me to download the newest version. I use iTunes all the time and have updated it multiple times with no issues. During the installation process it gave me an error message that said:

I quit the installation, uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my computer. I now receive a similar message with a slight difference:

I did not leave anything out from the error message. It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..." Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
How do I repair this issue? I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse. I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs. i purchased two songs on my iphone and it did sync with itunes. Then i put the two new songs in a music folder and it won't sync the songs to the folder on my iphone. same phone same computer never had this problem before.
In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.

Trying to upload pictures to a website, but it doesn't work. After going thru the whole process, I get a message saying; the server attempted to redirect you. Server redirection is not supported. This only happened after I updated Firefox. Never had this problem before.

If it is grey and/or won't allow you to slide it to the on position, follow these steps... More than likely you will need to get it serviced.
iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Restart your iOS device.
Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
If you still can't turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options. If you can turn Wi-Fi on but are experiencing other issues with Wi-Fi, see how to resolve those Wi-Fi issues. -
I Need help, my wife and myself just got new phones. I got the iPhone 6 and my wife got the 6 Plus, we set our phones up and for some reason I am recieving all her text messages. Using More than One iDevice on the Same Computer
This applies mainly to couples who are adding another device and do not want their email, messages, etc. being duplicated on both devices. To begin read: How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer. You need to establish a separate Apple ID and password for whomever will use the new iDevice. See Apple - My Apple ID and Frequently asked questions about Apple ID. The easiest way is to do this on the computer using iTunes: iTunes- How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes.
On the computer create a new user account for the person with the new iDevice. This will be the user account that person will always use. He/She will no longer use the other user account. This way that person will have a separate iTunes Library. Note that once done you cannot "share" apps under a single Apple ID. Each of you must purchase your own apps under your own Apple ID. When you decide to split up like this one of you will need to re-purchase the apps that they want to use.
Start by transferring the new device(s) to a new account along with all your data. Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless they are already in the camera roll) by opening your Photos app, tap on Albums icon at the bottom. Now, tap on My Photo Stream album; tap Select; tap on the photos you want to select;, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow) in the lower left corner; then tap Save to Camera Roll.
If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep then you need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself. Later you can copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.
Tap on Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the person keeping the current account will not be affected,) provide the password to turn off Find My Phone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Sign in with a different Apple ID to create your new account. Choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

Try going into your settings and 'reset all settings'
You will need to retweak your device but it's been said to help with sound issues. -
I have downloaded and deleted an album 3 times now because on the playback, every 30-60 secs. it jumps to another song on the album. I have never had this problem before. Thanks !
Try deleting and redownloading again, this time with simultaneous downloads disabled.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. -

It won't let me drag an effect from the browser all of a sudden. I have always been able to do before. I am using effects from favorites bin and when I try to drag it to the timeline, it won't move. I have never had this problem before. Please help.

Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it. I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names. isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)

Choppy Ken Burns screensaver.........Never had this issue before
Maybe I've just been lucky to this point as I've had no issues whatsoever with the upgrade to v2.0.
But I came home from Valentine's Day dinner with my family, went to the aTV and noticed something that I'd never seen before......a slightly choppy and "grabby" Ken Burns mosaic screensaver. I've never had this issue before, even when I was using the 40gb aTV a few short weeks ago.
Also, I've noticed that the performance seems a bit sluggish in general as I navigate through the UI (ie unsmooth and choppy scrolling of artist and album titles and YouTube history). It's also choppy with the album artwork flow.
This strikes me as odd as I didn't have this issue on the 40gb aTV but am having it now for the first time after the upgrade on a 160gb with over 100gb's of free space.
My laptop PC(hosting iTunes) has been running without issue all the while.
Any ideas here?
Would a "reboot" do it?
This issue here reminds me of when my office PC starts to get sluggish. I'll reboot and it will be fine. But right now, I'm still a bit paranoid about rebooting my aTV.

I bought an itunes gift card yesterday and I have tried to redeem, but when I do I get a message the card has not been authorized. I have typed in typed in the code as seen mostly upper case and I have tried lower case also. Neither is working. I've never had this problem before. Should the store where I purchased it from done something to supposedly "activate" it. I'm at a loss. I do not have the store reciept a friend does, and I'm sure she desposed of it.
Yes, the retailer is supposed to activate the card. Otherwise they'd lose hundreds to shoplifting. What you normally should do is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, or this was a gift so you cannot contact the retailer, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
