Single currency and single A/R account

Hi All, Jimmy,
I am confusing that the user want to have a single control account i.e. A/R account for multi-currency customer and foreign currency customer. One customer can have 2 type currencies transactions e.g.USD and GBP. Do I have to suggest them to create 2 same customers but different currency and A/R account or just use single currency i.e. multi currency and single A/R account ? what will be the effects if I use single one and not single ? TIA

Hello,
I suggest you to create separated currency either for customer that want foreign currency and local currency. The AR account could be only one for both and you differentiate it if you have domestic and foreign business partners. It is not a must but you have option to do that. Other could also have correct answer.

With single folio, is possible to protect access through user/password? If it's possible... what's the way to get it working?
How many time does adobe need to give you the IPA file for the appstore when you work with a sigle folio project?
I've read with single edition you can't update your app, so if you publish in the App Store a book, and you find some mistakes... how can you solve them? Is possible to solve them buying another license or you need to load an complete new app?

ALL of your questions were already asked and answered (some of them more than once) on this forum. You should try some searching first. No offence, but Bob (and the other Bob as well) are really working hard answering tons of questions coming in every day.
I think I can answer this one:
"How many Single Edition can I purchase? I have 16 small brochures for one client to publish to Apple's App Store."
Having 16 brochures to publish, it would be unwise to buy 16 SE codes for$395 each. Buying Professional Edition for one year (12x $495) would spare you $1200, and give possibility to publish even 1000 small brochures during the period.

Multiple order of a one customer.Require single Delivery and single invoice

Dear Gurus,
I have a customer say 10005000 (xyz)
i have now n no. of orders from this particular customer of different material and diff. quantities.
e.g. Order no. 1000 have mat. A Qty.50, mat.B Qty.100, mat.C Qty.200 (Date: 01/09/10)
Similarly Order no. 1001 have D Qty.10, mat.E Qty.40, mat.A Qty.60      (Date: 03/09/10)
and so on
Now I want to create Single Delivery No. for 10005000 instead of individual deliveries.
how can i????
Or if i have multiple deliveries of a single customer and i want single Invoice no. against all deliveries.

Disk Utilty - what is difference between single volume and single partition

In Disk Utility I can, should I wish, format a drive by using Erase to create a single volume. Also in Disk Utility, I have the option to use Partition to create one (or more) partition.
What is the difference between a volume and a single partition?
What are their relative merits?
In what circumstances would I want to create a single partition instead of a volume?
Disk Utility also prompts me to name the volume or partition. From experience, what would you suggest as a suitable name and where is this information subsequently used?

A "volume" or "partition" are the same thing. The subject of using partitions has been covered many times on the forums. Do some searching and you'll find quite a lot of information. Also try doing some Google searching.

JDBC Sender Adapter - Single Select and Single Delete

I think in SQL select statment you have something like Select TOP number....where number is 1,2..
The detailed syntax for the SELECT clause is as follows:

Dual uplinks with single 5400 and single 6509 (with multiple interface cards)

I have a single 5400 with two gige ports and a single 6509 with dual gige line cards.
What would be the best method for running them with dual connections in case an interface or line card goes bad?

Thank you for the reply Joseph. I swear I've ran SLA on 6500's before. This box is running IOS 12.2 so maybe that's the culprit.
I found a simple way to configure both devices redundantly using administrative distanced routes pointing through a specified interface. On the 6509, the routes point to a loopback address on the 5400, on the 5400 it's configured as default routes. Like this document explains:

Are you referring to 2 iTunes accounts/Apple ID's? If so you can't, all purchases are tied to each Apple ID so if you need to say reload an app or update, it would be with that account.

I would suggest you read this white paper which details the pros and cons of direct connect storage.

I would only add that in FlexPod we are trying to create a highly available solution and "flexible" solution; Nexus switching helps us deliver on both with vPC and unified ports.
NPV equats to end-host mode which allows the system to present all of the servers as N ports to the external fabric. In this mode, the vHBAs are pinned to the egress interfaces of the fabric interconnects. This pinning removes the potential of loops in the SAN fabric. Host based multipathing of the vHBAs account for potential uplink failures. The NPV mode (end-host mode) simplifies the attachment of UCS into the SAN fabric and that is why it is in NPV mode by default.
So for your last question, I will have to put my Product Manager hat on so bear with me.   First off there is no drawback to enabling the NPIV feature (none that I am aware of) the Nexus 5000 platform simply offers you a choice to design and support multiple FC initiators (N-Ports) per F-Port via NPIV. This allows for the integration of the FI end-host mode described above. I imagine being a unfied access layer switch, the Nexus team enabled standard Fibre Channel switching capability and features first. The implementatin of NPIV is a customer choice based on their specific access layer requirements.

image but what is the rule for single, dual, and quad processor macs?
Can we use an image created on a quad processor PowerMac on the
dual/single processor PowerMacs?

Macs of different models and vintages may take different restore disks. The disk image method of doing this kind of work may or may not work. Use the original disks when faced with different releases or different models. See this article:

So a dual-single processor transfer will not necessarily work.
In addition, there are license agreement considerations.
I would not do it unless you know you are in the clear on both accounts.

Creating app for Android/Kindle with App builder and Single Edition (No professional or Enterprise)

Hi there,
I know there is no official support for Android in Single Edition, but, once you have installed Indesing CC and App Builder in a mac, and you create app from your Folio menu, is it possible to create then an Android/Kindle apk app for publishing by your own?
Has anybody published sucessfully in this way?
Other point, is that I suposse that you need a Professional or Enterprise licence to create an android app from the Web-enablet App Builder. Cause I can't find the way the make my single account to join the role to this function (And app builder website website just tells me I have to do this, as if I were able to do it with my license...).
By the way, I think Adobe should explain more clearly this points. There is too much documentation, but difficult to find this answers... And a lot of people with the same troubles...

So, can you confirm if you join the Professional edition (just for a month) if you are able to use both options App Builder/Web-Based App Builder, to create the app in a way that you don't need to be suscribed more time to Professional Edition to be downloaded by the users in Google Play/Kindle Store, and it should work for Applestore (iphone apps) too. I mean, once again, no using Multi-issue and Renditions, cause in this case I know they are hosted by Adobe and you need the subscription to be downloaded.
I think there are discussions here about this topic, but it's not exactly clear what I'm asking. So, I still don't know if I should buy the Professional Edition or go to another supplier as you said.
I hope that Adobe improve these functions! There should be native support for these platforms, cause at the end you only can publish to the applestore with the Single Edition and everbody knows the "too booky problem" with the apps. And we should have support to publish to ibookstore because of that too, without third party solutions.

[Solved] Gwenview 5 lost icons and single click

Hi,
I don't use KDE but I do use Gwenview. Since upgrading to 5 Gwenview has lost some icons (outlined in red below), and I now have to double click on directories and images to open them instead of single click. Is it possible to fix these issues without installing a full KDE desktop?

Can I create a service PO with two different currencies ?
I want one item to be paid in EUR and one in INR. I have separted these two items at item overvivew level.
I have tried vendor sub range also.

I think you can define/update individual conditions in whatever currency you like (provided exchange ratres are maintained) but the overall PO will be in a single currency. (I'm not currently logged on) Try updating an individual Condition or even PO item in your trial system.
I'm also think when you process the invoice you can define the (single) currency. Provided (important) the invoices are presented separately and the exchange rates do not move significantly you will be OK.
It's a bit messy and not a good method but you can do it.
Ignore sub-ranges, not relevant to what you want to do.

Yes, they will do everything needed to get your music into iTunes. It is far easier to do it this way.
Most simply charge a small flat rate (~$10 a song, $40 an album).

While using material ledger, we can use the single level or multi-level price determination for valuation of inventory.
Procurement processes are used in Product Cost Controlling to determine procurement costs and to present those costs. Purchase Order, for example, is single-level procurement and Production is multilevel procurement.
Single-level material price determination calculates the periodic unit price for a material. The standard price and the cumulative single-level differences of the period are taken into account. Single-level material price determination takes into account the differences that arise directly when a material is procured.
Multilevel price determination calculates the periodic unit price for a material. The standard price, the single-level differences cumulated in the period, the differences between planned and actual prices, as well as input material differences (multilevel differences) are all taken into account.
Single-level material price determination is a prerequisite for Multi-level price determination.
