Date vadildation accepts single digit years (with a space) and converts the space to zero. How do we stop converting the space into zero.

Loading single digit months with SQLLDR

How can I load dates with the month having a single digit using sqlldr??
62305220507 in this example the date is 23-Jun0-05 22:05:07
111804115452 in this example the date is 18-Nov-04 11:54:52
I've tried the date mask mmddyyhh24miss but only the double digit months get loaded.

I recently moved my iTunes folder to a portable drive to make space on my macbook pro with Mavericks, and now the space is still taken up by back ups? any help to clear this space up would be greatly appreciated! Oh btw, macbook pro backs up to time caps

Im trying to free up some of the space on my macbook pro, its been filled up with itunes hd movies, so i purchased a 1TB portable hard drive and moved all my itunes files to it to free up some space. When i went into about this mac and checked storage, it says i have over 400GB's of back ups. I back up everyday through time machine to my time capsule, not sure what to do, any help is much appreciated! thanks

When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself, nor should you disable them or Time Machine.

I have used Photoshop CS2 for over 5 years with Dimage A2 using the RAW forment, Now it will not work. Any answers out there? Thanks

The Photoshop has always worked well with the Minolta DimAge A2 using the RAW format. Now, it will not. Strange that Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate works fine and cost less tha $100... Any responses out there about that?

Display single digit numbers with a zero before it

Is there a way to make flash put a 0 in front of the numbers
1-9 when it computes a value equal to 1-9? so it would display 01,
02, 03... instead of 1, 2, 3... ?

wjosten - I was using a WEP password of greater than 13 characters with no problem.
Mondayblues - Are you saying that you cannot set your own password for your router/modem? You should be able to access it from an ethernet connected computer and change the password to suit yourself. If it's not more than about 4 years old, you should be able to use WPA instead of WEP, which is much more secure. Google "time warner modem yourmodel" to find the user manual and the URL to access the modem.

When saving filename with space, the space char convert to %20. How can i solve this?

Each time when i try to save a file. Firefox always convert the space char to %20. This is really irritating.
Any solution?

Thanks for trying to help. Maybe i did not specific my issue clear enough, each time when i try to download a file from my university elearning site. The filenames suggested by firefox automatically change space char to %20. I need to manually remove those %20 to space char again when i save the file, this is really not convenient. I tried on Chrome and IE, both of them do not have this problem with the same file.

Two digit year cutoff in SQL Server 2008 R2

We have a 2008R2 setup here and have SSIS jobs importing data from flat files into our database. Some sources only give us 2 digit years unfortunately.
Looking at some data, the default 2 digit year cutoff is not really appropriate to our setup, a value of 2080 would be better. However, when checking the official documentation here:

there is a warning to leave the value alone to maintain backwards compatibility. This warning is NOT present for the newer versions of SQL Server. Is this just a generic warning about the general application landscape, or is there some Microsoft code somewhere
within SQL Server/SSIS/SSRS which assumes this default is locked to 2049? In other words, if I understand the application landscape at my office - am I safe to change this? Or is there some underlying code which will break?
Also, am I right in the assumption that once a 2 digit year is imported into a database table, it's then converted to a 4 digit year, so any existing data is "safe" from this setting being changed? In other words, the DB loses all memory of whether
an imported date was originally imported as a 2 digit year?

Import the string dates into DATE/DATETIME format.
DATE/DATETIME has 4 digit year.
You can convert it differently than the automatic 2049 flip year.

PI removing blank spaces at the end of the lines in a plain text file

I have an interface that transfers a file via FTP. I defined both the sender and receiver to transfer either Text or Binary but the interface removes every blank space I have after the last character. The file is a fixed lenght file.
Example:
Original file:
Hello world(space)(space)(space)(space)(space)(space)(space)(space)(eol)
where (space) is the space character and (eol) is the end of line char.
File after it is received.
Hello world(eol)
I already defined the parameter Row.fieldFixedLenghts with 10164 which is the lenght of the lines of the file.
Any ideas why it may be happening?

I tried both the parameters:
xml.fieldContentFormatting
structure.fieldContentFormatting
The received file still has the problem. All the blank spaces are cleared out.
The file is a plain text file not an XML file. May this be the issue?

How to eliminate the space between two analysis in the Dashboard?

Hi All,
I have created a Dashboard which contains 12 analyses arranged vertically. When i see the report in the dashboard section it contains some standard space between each analysis. So it looks like separate separate analysis arranged in dashboard. But i want it to look a single table is it possible by reducing the space between every analysis? If possible please let me know how to achieve this in clear manner.

Well the answer lies in how you are adding the indentation for better reading.
I assume you added space of tab to add indentation. So you are doing that in reduced window width and your text wraps as per the width. But when you again resize the window to full lenght your text takes full space and the spaces and tabs you added for indentation are moved into text itself which is normal (since you have added that space to text).
So DW is now adding any space it is the space you added for indentation which is showing up when you go to full width view.
Don't use such indentation for reading in code and anyways HTML will leave out such whitespaces when page renders.
