Single instruments: For example just a single trumpet
Hi there,
It's so annoying that most of the instruments are section instruments. When you choose a trumpet, you do not get one trumpet, but a complete section or just a few. But I really would like to know if there's a possibility to just hear ONE instrument. To make it clear... 1 trumpet, and not more then 1.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Because I think I downloaded all the instruments there are. And it's freakin' annoying.

The symphony orchestra Jam Pack has the follwing horns: French horns (both solo and section), trumpet section, trombone section, and tuba.
So you can get a solo french horn or a tuba, but no trumpet, sorry.

how can I save a page and all its component parts in a single file, like IE does as an MHT?
It's much easier for mailing to people where page address not available?? (as in output from an airline booking site, for example)
It is simply too painful to have to zip everything up into a single file to send. MHT format has been available for years now from IE, and with every new FF release it's the first thing I look for. I have been using FF for years, and hate having to come out of it, over into IE |(which I even took out of startup) and key everything in again, in order to send somebody something in a convenient format that they can open with a single click.
I can't believe this hasn't been asked before, so have you looked at it and rejected it? Have MS kept the file format secret?

MGThis is not really an answer just my comments on your question.
I am sure I recollect efforts being made to get mhtml to work with FF.
Probably the important thing to remember about .mhtml is that if other browsers do support it they may need addons, and may not necessarily render the content correctly/consistently.
There are FF addons designed for archiving webpages, you could try them, but that then assumes the recipient has the same software.
You could simply save the page from FF to your XP pc; then offline open it with and save it using IE, before then emailing using FF, and attaching the .mht or mhtml file that you have now created on your PC.
As an alternative method, in some cases it could be worth considering taking a screen grab of the required page, then sending that to the recipient as a single email attatchment using either a bitmap or jpeg file format for instance.
Something such as an airline booking may be designed with a print option, possibly it could be worthwile looking at sending the print file itself as an email attachment. -
I would like to know if there is a way to add multiple borders to a single cell or selection of cells in one click. At this time, if i want to add for example a top border and a bottom border to a single cell I have to do this in two steps: first select the top border, style, thickness, and color, and then next select the bottom border, style, thickness, and color. Is there a way to select the top and bottom border of a cell in one click? Clicking on the top border then holding down the command key while selecting the bottom border does not work, nor does holding down the option key, the control key, or the shift key work. Thank you for the suggestion but this did not work for my Mac. When a cell is selected for which I want borders, the entire cell is lit up. Then when I go to the border tool and select style, thickness, and color, the entire lit up cell takes on the border, that is the Outside Edges of the cell now have a border. So selecting the style, thickness, and color first doesn't work.
If I select the top border first (or any border), the drop down goes away and I can't select multiple borders - I get to choose one at a time. After selecting one border, style, thickness, and color, said border is now on the spreadsheet. Then I go back to the border selection and pick another border and the the previously selected style, thickness, and color reverts to null, so I start over with the new border style, thickness, and color. Yes, it is tedious.
The Fix would allow the user to select multiple borders, say left and right, before the drop down goes away after selecting only one border
Does it have something to do with Allow or Disallow border selection?

Is it possible to exclude single contacts from the mute? For example: I want to hear when I recieve an SMS alert even if I mute my iPhone 4 (I am a fireman).
No iPhone apps have access to the necessary API's to do so...they're all sandboxed.

i am using numbers in the new iWork. Just bought it 10 days back. I am not able to figure out how to add serial umbers from 1 to 100( for example) also i need to freeze the top header like in windows so that we can browse down without the heading going off. Can some one help?

Be aware that "Freeze Header Rows" and "Freeze Header Columns" apply only to rows and columns that are Header rows or Header columns. You can have up to five Header rows, Five Header Columns (and five Footer rows) on a Numbers Table.
"Header rows" is a special designation. Besides being able to be frozen, Header and Footer rows are not included in formulas referencing whole columns, making it possible to place formulas such as =SUM(B) at the top (or bottom) of column B without causing a self-reference error, These designated rows are also not included in sorts of the rows in a table.

If i backup an app for example Music Downloader as it contains like 300 songs and now i want to replace my iphone 5 so when i restore the app from itunes do i get back all the content in the app or just the app itself ??..

I am not sure whether the music will get restored.
Anyway try this
1.Connect iPhone to PC.
2.Open iTunes
3.Open iPhone Summary
4.Go to Apps Tab
5.Under File Sharing Section Click on Music Downloader
6.Right side if you see your songs click on one song and press (CTRL + A).(hope you are using windows) and click on save and then save to a folder on your computer.
7. Later just do steps till 5 to put to new iPhone then ...........
8.Click on save and select the music files which u want to put in that app.
9.Click on apply to sync.
10.You should be having the music in that app

I have everything set for Arabic fonts and the keyboard as well. When I type in WORD or EXCEL I just get individual Arabic letters, but they never connect, they should be for example like this الس but they always appear like that ا ل س
MS Word for Mac has never supported Arabic. You have to use other apps. Mellel is best, but Pages 5, TextEdit, Nisus Writer, or Open/LibreOffice should work OK.
Sometimes you can make Word for Mac do connected Arabic if you are editing a document created with Windows Word. -
Hi there! So I am using Lightroom 3 on a pc and I have ran into an issue when exporting images. The DPI and image size (in inches) that I am selecting during the export process. For example I just exported a collection and set the dpi to 180 and the size to 7 inches on the long edge. My exported result is 457 dpi and sized at 3200x2134 pixels.. Any ideas on why this is happening and what I can do to correct it?
The DPI setting in a digital image has no meaning at all. You need to learn how to calculate what you need in your exported image. The only measurement in a digital image that has any meaning is the number of pixels in each direction. It doesn't matter what you set that DPI to (actually it's PPI or pixels per inch). The image will have the same number of pixels regardless of the setting. If you need an image that is 5 x 7" (for example) at 200 PPI then you would want an image that measured:
5 x 200 = 1000 pixels
7 x 200 = 1400 pixels
So you would need an image that is 1000 x 1400 pixels to have a 5 x 7" image at 200 PPI. The reason your exported image had such a high PPI setting is because you specified the number of inches you wanted the image to be. And there were enough pixels in the image that it calculated out to be that high PPI setting.
I apologize, I don't explain this very well. But you need to learn to do the math to determine how large you really want your exported images to be. -
i need to add bpm to my songs but in some of them i just can't add/modify any info. it seems like it happens only with the verified songs (the ones i download from souncloud work for example) probably verified trough gracenote..is there anything i can do?

If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.

I update my photoshop touch to 1.6 and the text is not working, whenever i enter for example "hello" i only get "he" and in some cases just pieces of words, help!!!

Thanks to your original comment again-- at least now I know if I need a "work-around" I now know at-least-that-the original-fonts in PS TOUCH seem to work. No wonder the default-font worked.. but not the NEW COPPERPLATE FONT.. YaY, mystery solved.. (almost)! [i wished they'd change that default-font..and get a new default font...Lol.. It's pretty homely looking..Hee.) I normally have been using that original TRAJAN PRO FONT.. but the letter "J" almost looks like a straight line vs a rounded J.. which at least the new COPPERPLATE FONT (which is a more normal usable font--That's not boring like aerial is,etc... ]. So yeah that will be great when all those new fonts gets fixed! // It would be great too (on my PS TOUCH wishlist, if someday they could fix the TEXT BOX too.. to be able to better & easily add A LOT [more] TEXT on a graphic .. as I always have to go to the "OVER APP" [That's the name of the app in the APPLE store] on my iPad to do that... PS TOUCH only seems to let you do TITLES vs a more lengthy text on a project. If I want to make an EASY border I take the image I've been working on into the CAMERA+.Plus App.. There are no known viruses for OS X. If you have to worry about a website putting some malware on your computer, then you should not visit it any longer. Find a legitimate site.

I have 1,440 photos in the iPhoto library, and I have identified most of the faces. I have selected the primary picture which shows in the Faces Library. I would like to organize these faces. For example, those people I met in Australia, or in Switzerland or just those family members. I don't want the picture from which the faces were identified, just the faces. Is this possible with iPhoto? If yes, what are the steps? Thanks for any and all help.
That is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.

I've just bought a new mac and I want to transfer the content from my old Macbook to my new. If I have iCloud enabled on both devices, is this simple, or is there a limit to what I can transfer? For example, can I upload word files to iCloud?
iCloud is not the way to do this. You should use Migration Assistant - with this you can transfer your complete User folder from the old Mac including preferences and logins. You will need to connect the two with FireWire or USB depending on the models.
Ideally you should do this before you set up the new Mac - if you create a user account with the same name than the Migration will have to give the migrated user folder a different name. When you first switch on the new Mac it should ask you if you want to transfer your data, and give you instructions. -
I have just purchased a new apple cordless keyboard. The numeric line of keys along the top are not functioning as they should. For example I am unable to get a question mark or a forward slash. I have tried holding down both shift and alt keys.
Thanks for prompt response - I tried what you suggested but I'm afraid it has not helped. It seems as though the line of number keys along the top aren't actually doing what is printed on them. Some are OK, but the further towards the right hand side of the keyboard you go, the less predicatable it becomes. So whilst the second key from the left gives me 1 and ! when holding the shift key, by the time I get to the 6 when I press and hold shift I get ^ rather than & symbol which is what is actually printed on the key. The & symbol is actually on the next key along - and when I hit the key with 8 I get * rather than the ( which is printed on they key but actually located on the next key along. Things get even more muddled by the time I am over on the right hand side as rather than a question mark (I have had to type the word as I cannot find the symbol anywhere!) I get this _ and the other symbol marked on the key is a comma, but I get - instead. It is going to drive me mad if every time I want to type something it is a guessing game....! What do you suggest - question mark

Fire fox crashes and freezes if i use it too much (kind of a good thing). For example if i use stumble fire fox will start to slow down then freeze completely. I am using windows XP pro and a pretty decent computer. All software is up to date and i do no have a virus. I have even tried to disable my add-ons and plug-ins but it did not make a difference. Does anyone have a solution or should i just switch to chrome?

I am trying to create a new book. In the help menu it tells me to go to file>new book. When I go to file that option isn't even there! None of the steps it tells me to take even exist as buttons or options on my program. What do I do?

Cannot rearrange songs in playlists
