Single MobileMe Event not syncing to iCal on my Mac

I'm pretty sure this is not the first time I've had this problem but it has arisen again.
I have a single event, which I created on either my iPad or my iPhone last Friday. This event has synced to the other device (iPhone or iPad) and to MobileMe (http://www.me.com/calendar). However, it is not showing up in iCal on my MacBook Pro.
On my MBP, I deleted the MobileMe (CalDAV) calendar from iCal and then recreated the account.  The missing calendar event is still missing though all the other evens appear to be there!
If I edit the event on my iPad, it still does not show up on my MBP though the other devices get the update (e.g. adding a Location).
If I create a new calendar event on my iPad, the new event does show up but the missing event remains missing.
I'm running OS X 10.7.1 (Lion).
Any suggestions on
why this is happening,
how to fix it (other than just deleting and recreating), and
more importantly, how to prevent it from happening in the future?
Thanks!

Here's a fix:
1. Open iCal and Export all your calendars to .ICS files (example, home.ics, birthdays.ics, etc.), save it on your desktop. Quit iCal.
2. Delete the folder User/Library/Calendars and all contents inside
3. Open iCal, import all your exported .ICS from above.
4. Sync your iPhone.
Fixed it on 2 iPhones that have iCal sync issues with Leopard 10.5.1!

  • Why is my iOS 7.0.4 (iPhone 4S) events not syncing to ical on Mac OS 10.6.8?

Recently, I discovered one of my Calendars (Work) was not syncing from my iPhone 4S to my iCal. I believe any event that is being entered into the iPhone does not get transcribed to iCal, which is limiting my ability to manage a few things . . . basically, it has bricked the ability to reliably use the calendar on my computer.
It appears this has been a reacurring issue, because I have found many postings as well as solutions. I have tried a number of things including emptying out he calendar folder in User > Library with no avail . . .
Is there a solution that I'm missing and more current to my iOS & OS?

  • I can not sync my iCal in my Mac Book Pro with other iOS5 Devices. The server responded with "507" to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.

The iCal in my Mac Book Pro does not seem to sync / push in iCloud. I can not synchronize the iCal in my iPad2. A window pops out with the message: The server responded with a "507" to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.

That may not be what you want, but it's what's going to happen if you sync it to your Mac.  You are trying to sync media to your phone from an iTunes library other than the one it is set up to sync with.
Transfer the data from the computer you have been syncing with to the new one, then set up a new sync relationship.

  • Some events on my iphone 4 (ios 5) will not sync with ical on my mac (using itunes/usb for sync)

If I add an event on the calendar on my mac - it does go to my iphone. If I change an event that HAD synced previously (not sure when this problem started, but i had never had a problem syncing before) that change goes thru. But I have several events on my iphone that just won't transfer to the Mac

My Iphone 4 crashed yesterday after a restart and upload of OS 5.0, it will only partially sync.  It's not transferring any of my music or ringtones.  They still appear when I click open the sync screens on ITunes, but I don't seem to have an Ipod function and only one of my personalized ringtones transfers on the actual phone.

  • Is anyone able to get their Iphone to send events to sync with ical on a mac and the mobile me calendar?

I've tried everything in the support docs, reset my sync data, deleted my mobile me account on my iphone, manually "sync'd" from the preferences on my mac, but the mobile me calendar doesnt change and my iphone events do not show up on mobile me or my ical. I sure hope icloud doesnt suck as much as the current situation. my iphone used to sync and it just stopped and apple wants $29 to help.

Plug yr iPhone to your compu in the old fashioned way with cable.
Just to cover yourself...select the iPhone in Devices of left pane of iTunes window, then on main pane, select radio button Back up to Computer. Right click on the iPhone in devices, do a backup. It shld then be on your compu'.
Then, back in main windo, select Info 'tab' from top of the right pane, and tick the Sync iCal events.
    I'm sure this will help.
If it all goes pear-shape, u have the backup to restore the pre-sync device.

  • I was syncing iPad 2 with my macbook and had no problems.  Now it will NOT sync my iCal on my mac with my iPad.  It only syncs with my gmail cal.  I don't know why the change happened.  Need to keep both calendars synced onto my iPad 2 .

I was syncing iPad2 with my macbook and all iCal info was erased.  It only syncs google calendar.  Info on my iCal won't transfer to iPad.  No problems b4 tonite.

What is the file name of the video(s) you want to sync?
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • IPhone Calendar Changes not Syncing with ICal

Additions and changes to my iPhone calendar are not synced with ICal on my Mac. Syncing the other direction (adding or changing appointments on my Mac) works, but nothing I change or add on my iPhone appears on my Mac (the same seems to be true of contacts and notes). I have the same problem with an iPod touch.
Has anyone else experienced (and fixed) a similar problem? As it ism the iPhone-Mac sync only works in one direction!

I had the same problem, and then all my calendars stopped syncing either way. They picked a beautiful time to do it, too... right as I was leaving on a business/pleasure vacation where I was making on the fly appointments. grumble
However, I fixed it tonight. Here is what I did.
    1. Back up (export) all your iCal calendars. (not just good practice, you'll need them later) Make sure iCal is closed.
    2. under ~/Library/Application Support/iCal delete everything.
    3. under ~/Library/Calendars delete everything
    4. Sync your phone.
At this point you should have your phone overwriting everything in iCal. If your problem is ONLY syncing from phone to iCal you should be good to go, if you can't sync either way, you'll need to:
    5. Drag all your backed up calendars back to iCal. In theory they will sort themselves out, but you might have some duplicates between stuff you've created on your phone and in iCal.
I don't know if this will keep the problem from occurring again, but at the very least, I was able to test out my ability to create events on either side, and it works.
I kept hoping that the last iPhone update would solve this for me, alas!

  • Please help, I can not sync my iCal w/ my other IOS5 devices.

I can not sync my iCal in my Mac Book Pro with other iOS5 Devices. The server responded with "507" to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.

What happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

  • IPhone calendar not syncing to iCal or MobileMe

Using Lion and the latest software version on my iPhone:  syncing iCal to MobileMe works in either direction. However, when a calendar event is typed on my iPhone it does not sync to anything on my iMac.  Does anyone know of a solution?

    FOUND THE ISSUE.
Check to see if your Gmail (or mail) is connected to your calendar. If it is, turn it off.
When using Siri, she was scheduling to my Gmail Calendar (which is also where the rest of my meetings were scheduled) That calendar would not sync with iCal on my computer.
So, on your iphone go to Settings>Mail, Contact, Calendars
Look under ACCOUNTS. There should be an iCloud account and your Mail account (Gmail, Yahoo etc)
Click on the mail account and look at the calendars. If they are ON, click them OFF.
Now if you go back to iCal on your phone, you will only see iCloud calendars listed under Calendars. So from now on, when you make a meeting with Siri, she will schedule it and it will appear moments later in iCal on your Computer.
    FINALLY!

  • Ical on iphone does not sync with ical on mac, but the mac does it!

My ical on my iphone does not sync with ical on mac using MobileMe, but reverse it works very well.
so typing an new event in ical on my phone will NOT appear in ical at my computer. Typing a new event on my mac, than within 10 seconds it appears on my phone.
anybody know how to resolve this? never had the problem before
problem 2: ical on my iphone seems to duplicate a lot of events. Non of them are duplicated on my computer.
    related problem?
    thank
    Hein

I have solved my problem - don't know if yours is the same. I noticed on iPhone, when I listed the calendars there are two sections: the top line showed "All Calendars ->"; when I click on that I get duplicate entries for everything.
    Below that is:
    "From My Mac.
"All from My Mac ->", followed by a list of individual calendars. When I clicked on that I got single entries.
This led me to realize that in my Settings ->Accounts I had the old "...mac.com" a/c and new "..me.com" a/c. I had thought it didn't matter.
Once I eliminated the "mac.com" A/c, I had only one set of calendars.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Appointments made yesterday on iPod Touch calendar not syncing to iCal

I have been using my iPod calendar as the main source for all of my appointments. Periodically, I back that info up by syncing it (via iTunes) with iCal on my Mac Mini. Yesterday (12/29), I entered approximately 100 events into my iPod calendar, and when I synced the iPod with iCal on the Mini today, none of those events were copied onto iCal. I have repeatedly attempted to sync, but to no avail. However, events created on the iPod calendar previous to yesterday effectively synced, and events made today also sync. It would figure that I set all the events for 2010, and those are the ones that don't sync. Now, if I manually re-enter everything in iCal, I am worried that when I next sync with the iPod, the iCal dates would be removed, as it seems syncing doesn't recognize dates that I entered into the iPod calendar on 12/29. So, (1) is there any way that I can get the dates entered on 12/29 into my iPod calendar to automatically be entered on iCal on the Mac Mini? and (2) how do I safeguard my info on the iPod and iCal so that I don't lose anything in any syncing process? (P.S. I don't subscribe to Mobile Me.)

Having exact problem. iPod touch events not syncing with Mac Mini/iCal. I think I'm having some of the reverse problem. No MobileME account. Just starting grad school and it has caused some severe headaches.

  • IPhone calendar will not sync with iCal on Mac

Calendar entries on my iPhone 4S/iOS 5.1 will not sync with iCal on my MacBook Pro 2.4/10.6.8, but it will the other way around. I have tried:
    Restarting iPhone
Re-setting sync services (holding down Option key and clicking on Sync icon in menu bar)
Changing which calendar to sync with (iTunes 10.6.1)
This may have something to do with having to do a complete Time Machine backup after a Volume Optimisation with Tech Tool Pro rendered my startup disk as un-bootable....???
I do not use Mobile Me or iCloud (can't with Snow Leopard...) and it is a straight USB connection.
I consider myself a medium expert, with no programming/Terminal skills whatsoever.
    Any help is appreciated.

Thanks. There is another thread that shares a solution that involves deleting ical Library cache files and Preference files.  I"ll see if that works.  ICloud shouldn't be a factor in my case since I don't use it and it's "off" in Preferences. I am encouraged that I don't need to use it to fix this issue based on other's experiences, but we'll see!

  • HT1296 After downloading iTunes 11, my calendar on my iMac (OS X 10.6.8) does not sync with iCal on my iPad 2.  Why is this?

After downloading iTunes 11, my calendar on my iMac (OS X 10.6.8) does not sync with iCal on my iPad 2.  Why is this?

Ok, here's what seems to have worked....but will need to monitor to see if this stays "stable".
    1)  As suggested by King_Penguin in another Discussion thread  [apple support > iPad > Using iPad > Discussions]  (https://discussions.apple.com/message/15911962#15911962), I turned off iPhoto startup on the iPhone.  Then ejected iPhone from USB.
    2)  Reconnected iPhone via USB.  iTunes did not start up.  Started up iTunes manually.  Went to Summary page for iPhone, unchecked the "open iTunes" option, selected APPLY button.  Let iTunes run its application process.
    3)  Then checked the "open iTunes" option.  Selected APPLY button.  Got a dialog box asking if I wanted "iTunes Helper" to be installed; selected YES.  Let iTunes run its application process. Ejected iPhone.  Closed out iTunes.  Reconnected iPhone via USB.  AND iTunes STARTED UP AUTOMATICALLY (yay!).  Let iTunes do some backup and sync'ing.  Ejected iPhone.  Closed out iTunes.
    4)  Connected iPad via USB (on computer).  AND iTunes STARTED UP AUTOMATICALLY (yay!).
I don't know for sure that the iPhoto "automatic launch" was causing the interference, but it seems like the "uncheck/check" the "open iTunes" option seemed to re-set the problem that I encountered.  I don't want to say for sure that this issue is fixed, but it appears to be under control for the moment.
Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and assistance.  Maybe this info will help someone else out now that it's in the forums/discussions.

  • Could not sync calendar (iCal) sync server failed to sync iPad.  Any advice?

    Keep getting this error message:
"iTunes could not sync calendars (iCal) to the iPad because sync server failed to sync the iPad.
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks

I had this problem and finally fixed it after trying numerous ideas on the net.
Before doing the following steps I quit out of icloud on my iphone and my Macbook Pro
Step 1:  Finder Menu Go /Go to folder/~/library
    Step 2: Open Preferences folder
    Step 3: Delete com.apple.syncserver.plist
    Step 4: Reboot
