Single singon for the Discoverer+Standard Report

We have build discoverer report and standard report in our implementation
I like to know is there any possibility to make it as a single sign on so that the user will be able to view all the reports(discoverer+standard) when he logs into the application instead of again logging into the discoverer viewer to view the discoverer report
Has anyone came across this scenario Please advice me on this

Hi Ramesh
You can use the ICX%Discoverer profile to set up the link between E-Business Suite and Discoverer. You also have to make sure that if Apps is running in Secure mode that Discoverer is running in HTTPS mode, otherwise the ICX file will try to setup secure security which the standard Discoverer cannot understand.
You would still have to create a custom menu if you wanted to display a list of Discoverer workbooks inside Apps. As for creating reports using Desktop, why would you be doing this? You should be using Plus. There are too many new features available in Plus that you cannot take advantage of from within Desktop plus I have seen instances where reports created in Desktop will not open in Viewer.
I have to question the single user concept though. This is far too dangerous and breaks all Sarbanes-Oxley auditing requirements. You ought to be using private connections and not a public connection. Are you aware that if all users gain access to all reports and all data that all security is blown out of the window? Also, any user will be able to change or delete any report and you will have no idea who did it because they will all be using the same connection.
My advice would be to rethink your approach and come up with a more secure mechanism using private connections.

Hi Munna,
For eBusiness Suite (apps user) the report output is stored the same way whether executed immediately or scheduled.,To get excel set the options > output format to Excel. Only the user that submitted the report can view it, or you can get the output file from the server. Or you can set the notify option so that a Workflow Notification is sent when the request completes.

Technically it's possible to use a script to prevent someone from going to the next page unless they click a button, but I think it's a bad idea and very user un-friendly. You can add a button that will take someone to the next page, but don't try to restrict them from doing so themselves if they so wish.

On Page 5 ist stated that reports cluster is deprecated.

hello,
in reality, reports server "clusters" was more a load balancing solution that a clustering (no shared queue or cache). since it is desirable to have one load-balancing/HA approach for the application server, reports server clustering is deprecated in 10gR2.
we understand that this frequent change can cause some level of frustration, but it is our strong believe that unifying the HA "attack plan" for all of the app server components will utimatly benefit custoemrs in simpifying their topologies.
the current best practice is to deploy LBRs (load-balancing routers) with sticky-routing capabilites to distribute requests across middletier nodes in an app-server cluster.
several custoemrs in high-end environments have already used this kind of configuration to ensure optimal HA for their system.

I think you a logical column X on which you created another Logical Column Y.
Now you want 'Y' to be filtered based on Date Column.
1. If, my assumption is right - You can do your requirement i.e. Filtering the logical col. 'Y' on Reports.
Else,
2. See - Your Logical column 'Y' While creating log. column 'Y' make sure you use any expression builder to filter across Date column. (i.e. using any case statements or where clause).
Else,
3. Make sure your First Logical column comes from Table by default (i.e. Create the same col. in d/b so it would be your Physic col. )

Requirement: The report to be generated for the open documents in all six warehouses D01 to D06.
Option can be that one batch job should be created in ECQ which will run everyday and give us the report.
Variants are set for all warehouses to capture the report.
Please note that theses variant is set to capture all the Stocks in interim storage types except 915
Additional Variant is also set into the report to take the CREATED BY field in the displayed data. This can also be automated in the report.

I donot think such Multi level Consumption Report is available. I think if use collective order concept, u can get it. Otherwise u have to pass the list Production order number for each BOM level at COOIS.

How to find the EUL for the discoverer report in apps

Hi gurus,
I am new to oracle discoverer reports.
I am getting this below error in one of the discoverer report running in Ebiz application.
"OracleBI Discoverer Viewer was unable to find the necessary data for displaying the results of this event. Please correct any errors and try again.
- -1 "
I have found the workbook name from the form function navigation.
How to connect this workbook through discoverer administrator, Also if you have idea on this above error please advice?

We are decommision old windows 2000 machine.
I have installed disooverer 4i desktop and administration edition on new windows XP VM box and trying to connect to same schema which was used with old
desktop and asking me to create EUL. What is theat I should be doing to use new one same as old one?

Hi all,
I have a question in Ad hoc query report in HR.
How to: Get a list of the total number of employees included in a particular report at the end of the report. Ex: If i create and run a report for salaried employees, sorted out by company codes, how can i get a sub-total and total no. of employees listed in the report.
I tried Ranked format, but when you print the report it doesn't retain the report name on the top.
-->I have a question regarding the Standard reports for EEO and AAP
 How do I
1. Start configuring these report
2. What are the things i should have before configuring it in IMG
If anyone can provide me with some documentation regarding the EEO and AAP report configuration that would be great.

This can be done using the security for the Infoprovider, provide the users access to create queries only for that Infoprovider.

Where can I get the HPLCSWY0 standard report?

I am unable to find the standard report called 'HPLCSWY0'. It is used for extended wage type selection.I think its country specific to Poland. Is there a way to get this report and the report category from somewhere on the net?

Report Painter - cannot hide an element selected for the drill-down report

Dear Experts
I am using report painter to modify a report by trying to hide a row but getting the following error.
You cannot hide an element that you selected for the drill-down list
Message no. K7186
Diagnosis
You cannot hide elements that have already been selected for the drill-d
System Response
The function was canceled.
Procedure
Deselect the relevant row or column from the drill-down list.
It says to deselect the relevant row from the drill-down list, but not able to find out how do i do it.

If you are asking me whether i am trying to hide the row in the report painter form or in the output of the report, then, yes i am trying it in the report painter.
I copied this standard form '0SAPRATIO-01' for Cash Flow statements-Indirect method(tcode FSI5) and trying to modify the copied one. I tried to hide an existing row but it gave me the above message.

Send single notification for multiple scheduled webi reports

Hi All,
Need advice for the following.
We are using BO XI R2 . We have reports scheduled Monthly to be distributed to user. We have set a success notification for all the reports, which is sent to all users.
The users demand that getting notification for each report is annoying, and wish to get a single notification finally when are reports are executed successfully.

You could maybe set up something with an event. For instance if they run in a certain order, you could only send the notification out when the last report runs or something like that.

Adobe Form for the RFFOUS_C standard program configured in FBZP

HI Abapers,
I have this requirement of invoking a custom Adobe form which is a Check, from the standard report program RFFOUS_C. However this program uses sapscript and not Adobe Forms. I checked in the Blogs and could not find the solution to this. I found a driver program RFFOAVIS_FPAYM... can this be used? If yes, how can we configure the program to call our custom Adobe form?

Thank u for ur response.... the client has suggested me to use the driver program RFFOUS_C, but this program does not seem to have PDF compatibility...... I found in one of the blogs that report program RFFOAVIS_FPAYM can be used. From your explanation I understand that you think that I am using a custom program....but I am not using a custom program, but I need to use the sap standard program.. I found an interface F110_IF, but as of now, I am not sure if this can be copied and modified according to our need...... because..the driver program is still not known.....
