Single TOC from Multiple Books/Projects

I am testing out FM and Robohelp (I'm formerly a FM to WebWorks single-sourcer) and I'm trying to figure out best practice for bringing my FM files into RH when I want to create both Microsoft HTML help and Webhelp (I am creating help for two different apps, one requiring server-based deployment and the other requiring PC-based deployment of help). For both help outputs I want to:
1. Bring in multiple FM books that have extensive x-refs between them
2. Create one help TOC for all the topics regardless of which FM book they are in
So do I build one RH project or build separate ones and the RH x-refs will automatically work (in theory) because the FM x-refs are there? Keep in mind that two of the FM book files contain over 100 chapters.............and I have over 2,700 topics in my uncompiled help. Thanks in advance for your help!

Some basics first for RH - FM integration :-
If two different FM books or FM documents are linked separately then the cross refs or hyperlink across them does not work in RoboHelp.
In such scenarios the best practice is that you should create a single master book (can be created in FM version above 9) and create the TOC and Index for the whole book.
Now link/Import this book into RH - any crossrefs\hyperlinks within a book works properly in RH after conversion.
One more thing to keep in account is to export .isf file from RH after conversion settings (mapping) have been defined so that its takes minimum effort to re define the mappings after ward in new project (by using this exported .isf file)
for online output like webhelp you should prefer to breaks the FM documents into multiple topics by pagination in RH (conversion settings)

Thanks. I figured a way around it by importing the entire
book again and not overwriting the files I already had in the
project. Basically we have 4 manuals that share the same chapter.
It's a long chapter with alot of sections and I didn't want to have
to import that into each RoboHelp project and "clean" it up for
each manual. So I did it for one manual and then just copied the
files to the other manual folders and did a quick find and replace
for text I needed to change (manual name). However, the TOC for
that section wasn't being created because I omitted it from the
book. And I was too lazy to create a TOC by hand for that section.
But I think I have a workaround that will still have some clean up
but saves time over creating the whole TOC. Make sense:-).

Click on Sale document and select Create with reference
Then enter 1st quotation number & click on COPY or Selection list. Then click on Copy .Then all line items which belong to quoation1 copy to order.
Then,
Click on Sale document and select Create with reference
Then enter 2nd quotation number & click on COPY or Selection list. Then click on Copy .Then all line items which belong to quoation2 copy to order.
Then,
Click on Sale document and select Create with reference
Then enter 3rd quotation number & click on COPY or Selection list. Then click on Copy .Then all line items which belong to quoation3 copy to order.
Now save the sale document.

Any Tutorial / Sample to create Single PDF from multiple source files using PDF assembler in a watched folder process. I have a client application which will prepare number of source files and some meta data information (in .XML) which will be used in header/footer. Is it possible to put a run time generated DDX file in the watch folder and use it in Process. If possible how can I pass the file names in the DDX. Any sample Process will be very helpful.

If possible, make use of Assembler API in your client application instead of doing this using watched folder. Here are the Assembler samples : LiveCycle ES2.5 * Programming with LiveCycle ES2.5
Watched folder can accept zip files (sample : Configuring a watched folder to handle multiple input files and write results to a single folder | Adobe LiveCycle Blog ). You can also use execute script to create the DDX at runtime : LiveCycle ES2 * Application Development Using LiveCycle Workbench ES2

Hi Rich,
The combine files feature isn't available when you're using Reader for iOS. However, you can log on to the web interface at Adobe Acrobat.com using your Adobe ID and credentials, and use the Combine Files feature there.

To have single delivery from multiple Sales Orders you have 2 waysto do it.
The prerequisites are,
A. All sales orders should have same ship to Party
B. Delivery due dates should be same.
C. Incoterms should also be same.
D. Shipping Point should be same.
Once this is ensured, you can either
1. Go to Tr. Code VL10A and execute the delivery document creation for the list of sales orders
Or,
2. Go to VL01N. Give 1st order no. enter into the overview screen
Here, go to main menu, Outbound Delivery ---> Collective Processing- Del. Creation
This will also take u to the same VL10A screen.

how do I Consolidate tracks from multiple .Band projects onto one .band project?? I've got 4-5 tracks which are each seperate podcasts on one .band file. I need to add a few tracks from a different .band file (because they're podcasts that are part of the same podcast series project). How do I consolidate them? Tried copy/paste the track, didn't work. you can copy and paste, it just take a little more effort to do what you want. read the tute on rescuing files and you'll see how to move one project into another:

OBIEE can join multiple data sources to make a single data model, but it's not a cube in the multi-dimensional sense like Essbase or Oracle OLAP.
To be able to join datasources together they need to have a common dimension or FK relationship depending on what the source is and what you want to do with it.

Solo the track you want to export by clicking the solo (arrow)button in the Track header. Then export the song to the disk.

How to make single file from multiple PDF image?

Hi, it's my first question in SCN.
I promise my efforts for developing this site.
Lately, I made multiple PDF image by function 'CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF'.(each spool ID)
And I wanna make single .PDF file by merging these image in server directory(not local PC).
So I tried it following.
1. Each internal table resulted from CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF append one internal table.
   BL_PDF + MF_PDF → PDF
2. Excute following command.
OPEN DATASET P_FILE FOR OUTPUT MESSAGE LV_MSG IN BINARY MODE.
IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
    LOOP AT PDF.
      MOVE PDF TO FIELD.
      TRANSFER FIELD TO P_FILE.
      CLEAR PDF.
    ENDLOOP.
    CLOSE DATASET P_FILE.
ENDIF.
But files was not merged, only last image was made as .PDF file instead.
How can I do it?

Hi Sangrok,
Instead of preparing PDF multiple times, you can combine all the OTF data and then finally convert it into PDF. For saving the PDF onto application server, you can refer following report.

You can use the analytic ROW_NUMBER function.
I don't have a copy of your table, so I'll use scott.emp to illustrate. In scott.emp, there may be multiple rows for a single job. To display just 1 row per job, the row with the most recent hiredate:
WITH got_r_num AS
     SELECT empno, job, deptno, hiredate -- Or whatever columns you want
     ,       ROW_NUMBER () OVER ( PARTITION BY job
                                  ORDER BY      hiredate DESC
                                ) AS r_num
    FROM    scott.emp

SELECT   *      -- Or list all columns except r_num
FROM     got_r_num
WHERE    r_num   = 1
What results do you want in case of ties? Depending on your requirements, you may want to add tie-breaking expressions to the analytic ORDER BY clause, and/or use RANK instead of ROW_NUMBER.

If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data.
Point out where the query above is producing the wrong results, and explain, using specific examples, how you get the right results from the given data in those places.

Below is the query which I'm using and I want to automate it in such a way that, I can give the input to powershell script with list of all servers and I need output in csv format which should be giving the database names for which autoshrink option is enabled.

Acrobat offers to create a single document from multiple screenshots

Is there a way to turn this off? I take screenshots of multiple jobs daily and I have to say "no" every time I drag those screenshots to Acrobat to create PDFs that can be stored with the jobs. I know how to do this within Acrobat and I do not want to do this with every screenshot I create a PDF from! If there's a way to say "remember my answer", that would make my work life so much easier!

These mpeg2 clips do not have audio.
I simply want to create a script that can read in the files, append to each other and then export to an .mov format.
I want the process to be called from a command line that will open QT, run the script, read in the files, append and export.
