SIP Credit from Skype
Hello everyone,
My question may be very silly but i am new to using skype, so i want to know if i have a goautodial (asterisk 1.4) machine, can i get SIP account and credit from skype to make and receive calls.
I think that Skype connect is the thing for me, but i am not sure.
Please guide me
I don't understand the policy.
Is it so difficult to let decide the accountmanager to swap credit from one to another member ? for example: i've a month subscription running for one member, at the end of the month Skype sends me a message that i need credit to renew his subscription, i get new credit, swap the credit to the member with the subscription.....nothing...the manager needs the credit...so i've to swap the credit back to the manager...no way because the account is personal.....

Skype is getting worse, unwanted 'options', an interface that is getting worse. We're happy to pay to use your service but treat us with respect and don't try to rip us off !
I ask for a better and simple interface, no microsoft stupid colors. remember the first userinterface, no ofcourse you were not using it by that time...

Whats the fee per purchase on Skype I bought $20 yet bank if América posted amount oulled by Skype was $32

Strange email from Skype ??
Hi! Two times so far that I received a strange email from Skype, in spanish or something!! I'm wondering what this is all about and why the heck spanish? I'm french canadian!
The email says something like :
Tu crédito quedará inactivo en 3 días.
Aparentemente, hace tiempo que no usas tu crédito de Skype. Recuerda que si no lo usas en un periodo de 180 días queda inactivo. Pero no te preocupes porque una vez que quede inactivo puedes reactivarlo cuando estés listo para usarlo. Simplemente inicia sesión en tu cuenta en Internet y sigue los pasos para reactivar el crédito. Detalles de tu cuenta:
Nombre de usuario: (myusername)
Saldo: CAD6,86
Plus, why is it talking about my account not being active and a balance of $6,86 I should have over $16...

That message translate to;
Your credit is inactive in 3 days.
Apparently you have not you use your Skype Credit. Remember that if you use it in a period of 180 days is inactive. But do not worry because once you reactivate it is idlewhen you are ready to use. Just log into your online account and follow the steps to revivecredit. Details of your account:

Balance: CAD6, 86

you may need to contact customer service, you can also ask them to change the language of the emails you are receiving.

I am not receiving messages on my ipad and iPod touch from Skype, it won't come thru, I've tried reboot and hard reset, but nothing works, I reinstalled Skype, and nothing works.I had this same problem also. The problem has to do with your credit card number associated with you iCloud account. To solve this problem, you need to update your credit card/payment information by doing the following on your iPad / iPhone / iTouch:
Settings > iCloud > click on your account > Payment Information
Update this section with your correct credit card information and Save. -
I am trying to purchase some credit (I have the funds in my Paypal account and have tried with my credit card too) but every time I press the purchase button I get an immediate reply that "You have a refund from Skype". No matter what I select, the $16 or $40 amount I get this error straight away.

I opened a new Skype account, with no MSN connection, and would like to have the 3.64 euro credit from previous account transferred into it. I did a Search am sure I am the only one on Skype with my name so there should be no problem identifying me - long story about previous Windows XP computer blowing motherboard and am now in process of setting up Windows 8.1 - during which I experienced so much frustration trying to get into my old Skype account I simply gave up on that... would also like to have my Contacts transferred if that is possible. Skype credit, subscriptions, and features cannot be transferred from one account to another, so I would recommend trying again to recover access to your first Skype account by contacting Skype Customer Service directly. The key, of course, is passing the account verification steps:

50 euros of Skype credit was bought on my account, i did not authorise this, i have not used this and i have not used skype for 4 years. I want a refund.
Do NOT tell me to contact your community board or live chat, i am well aware that skype customer service is non existent! I am amazed that such a large company has such terrible customer service!
I have had lengthy (and expensive) discussions with paypal and my bank and they have both said the responsibility falls with skype.

I just tested contacting Skype Customer Service and almost literally blew through the various drop-down menu items to the point I had launched an instant message chat session with an agent within a minute or two of starting the process.
Update: Just tested contacting Skype Customer Service once again. First attempt, "Security-Privacy" menu choice and subsequent choice ended with "We're having problems ... ." Immediately tried again, chose Payments -> Unexpected Payments and was directed straight away to start a chat with a customer service representative. The chat facility started immediately.

One standard comment I read is that once a fraudulent charge is reported to PayPal and to whatever payment method funds a PayPal account, when the funds are charged back, Skype will suspend or block the account as a proactive measure in order to prevent further fraudulent and unauthorized purchases.

Skype is aware of lingering and sporadic problems with the website when contacting their customer service agents. If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself once again redirected back to the Community, please try using a different web browser and - most importantly - choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
It may take a few attempts, however people are getting through.

It's an all-to-common scam. The lesson to learn is never to accept unsolicited 'help' from someone you don't know, no matter who they say they are. Meanwhile, IMMEDIATELY file a fraud report with your credit card company.
