SIP play-out delay
Dear all,
I am having a problem with RTP packets. I have deployed cucm 8.6, and for some reson its response time is very variable even whe I ping
the server from inside the vlan. ( there is almost 20% packet loss ).

This causes voice disruption. I have not found any problem with processor, memory ect. There is no alert related to this issue.
Is there any way to configure a buffer for rtp packets, so that they are delayed before being sent. I have activated the MTP but it does only
transcoding.

How do I get my speakers to play the Apple TV? My TV is recognizing the Apple TV and the sound is playing out of the TV speakers, but even though I plug my speakers into my TV, it does not play what the TV speakers are playing. Do I have to plg the speakers into the actual Apple TV unit? If so, do I need an "optical audio" plug in?
appletv play audio out of optical out of hdmi and the old alu one play out the RCA too
the typical the white and red plug ins would be RCA if you have a atv2 (the black one) you cant use
RCA as that is analog and optical and hdmi are digital
you can get converters but some would be pricy and could cause delay between image and pictures for video -
If you add music videos to Up Next playlist, then go to look at the album cover playing screen, then go to add another song from different playlist, you no longer can see Up Next, just go to full screen mode button. Using remote app iPhone 5 to play out of iTunes. It looks like it works fine for regular music, but for music videos you can't see your up next unless you go back on the computer to change once you've left the screen. When using the remote app, you shouldn't need to go to iTunes on the PC to view or edit Up Next already added. See first image, you can hit upper right and get back to Up Next (second image). Third image is music video, where you can't get back to Up Next, just swap between full screen and not. I hoped 3.0.1 would have the answer, no luck!

Whenever I go to preview a song in itunes, the song with play out for about 10 seconds and then stop. Why isn't the song previews working? How can I fix this? I tried updating my itunes and it didn't work. I use windows 7. Thanks!
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Need Audio help! Interview audio won't play out to tape.
My voiceover and Soundtrack audio sounds great, but my interviews sound terrible when I play out to DV to record to the camera.
I checked the item properties and noticed that all the good audio is at 44.1khz while the "bad" audio is at 48khz.
What can I do to make this play out?

What is the sequence's audio format? It should be 48 kHz as it's standard in video editing software.
Did you capture audio interview from camcorder? What is the audio sampling format in audio menu? (32 or 48 kHz, 12 or 16 bit?)
The audio mixdown render may resolve this problem but it's always a good thing to resample each audio file to match the sequence sample rate:48 kHz.

Headphones usage on Satellite A660-BT2G22 -sound plays out of the speakers
When I plug headphones into my Satellite A660-BT2G22 Laptop the sound plays out of the speakers and the headphones.
There has to be a way for me to make the sound play only through the headphones and I would really love that because I am going off to college soon and will have a roommate and I will want to listen to my own music and stuff and not force him to hear my stuff all the time.
Please help?This notebook model is not known to me but check control panel and option for some audio manager there. On notebooks with Realtek sound card there is Realtek HD Audio manager.
Check all options there, especially small folder symbol placed at the right top side. When you click on it connector settings window will be open. Enable auto popup dialog.
Now, every time when headphones will be connected you can choose headphone as only device you want to use.

Is it possibly to have iTunes music play out of both the computer and Apple TV while simultaneously using Airplay Mirroring to view the computer screen on the TV? Whenever I try, by clicking on 'computer' radial button for volume in iTunes Airplay, the TV automatically reverts to the Apple TV screen. I usually end up using preferences to 'bring back' the audio to the computert while leaving the picture on the tv, but this means i have to suffer from the inferior sound quality of my Macbook internal speakers.

Are you using a case for you iphone? if you are as a test remove the case and plug jack in and see if the headphones work. if it does work, just make sure you have the jack plugged in all the way when the case is on.

Playing out an HD sequence to SD tape

can someone help?
I have an HD sequence ( 1920 x 1080, 1080i)which I am trying to play out to an SD tape (don't have an HD deck at mo).
The playout seems to freeze on one shot but the audio is fine. It also seems to be letterboxed.
Can someone suggest what I can do so it plays out normally (16:9) to SD tape?
thanksYou have to make a DV anamorphic sequence and put your edited HD sequence in that. It should not be letterboxed.
The camera needs to be set to record DV anamorphic so it will play back properly in 16:9.
Make sure everything in the sequence is rendered to full and that the audio is mixed down. -
I'm having a tough time getting my HDV timeline to playout to a Sony Z1U HDV camera. I keep selecting View/external video/All frames and the Z1U screen stays blue. It won't even flicker. My sequence settings are
Compressor=HDV 1080i60
editing timebase = 29.97
field dominance = Upper (odd)
pixel aspect - HD 1440x1080
frame size = HD 1440x1080 (16:9)
Easy setup = Format/HD, Rate (all rates) Use/1080i60 FireWire Basic
My Z1U camera settings match. HDV 1080i60.

To view HDV on an external monitor in high definition you are going to need to purchase a capture card, like the ones Decklink (www.decklink.com) or AJA (www.aja.com) offer. They will both play out HDV in real time. The catch is that you cannot view this on a regular TV or NTSC monitor. Since this is HD, an HD monitor will be needed. HOWEVER, both cards are capable of down converting the signal so that it can be displayed on an SD monitor. This won't be color accurate
The real reason why you can't monitor HDV through a Firewire camera is because Firewire HDV cameras don't decode incoming HDV streams and route them to their outputs like DV cameras do.
Good options for you are the Matrox MXO2...$500...coupled with an HDTV. Or a Matrox MXO (DVI connection) coupled with an Apple 23" display gets you good quality.
And there are the Decklink Intensity and Intensity PRO cards as well, and the AJA I/O Express...
You can, however, view HDV out via firewire as DV...lowering the resolution to that of DV, but still viewable. This is not full quality nor should it be used to judge the quality of your footage or used to color correct to. This is just a way to view the footage on a large monitor.
Here are some examples of some of the possibilities:
- DV or HDV sequence output to an SDI signal on a third-party interface
- An uncompressed NTSC or PAL sequence output to a DV FireWire output
- An HDV sequence output to a DV FireWire output
Sequence and output formats must have compatible frame rates. For example,
sequences with a frame rate of 60, 30, or 24 fps can be output to a 30 fps device,
but not to a 25 or 50 fps device.

Losing audio on long play out to tape
FCP 4. I am playing out a 2 hour long project in two chunks onto two 63 minute Mini DV tapes on a Sony camcorder. After about 30 minutes into the first play out the audio starts coming in and out, then halfway through the second chunk it goes altogether and doesn't come back.

Are your media drives all nice and clean and tidy? Are they getting very full? Are they Firewire drives? 400 or 800? This sounds like the drives aren't quite able to keep up with the layoff...
One other note - have you upgraded your FCP 4 as much as it can go? IIRC FCP 4.5 HD was a free upgrade to FCP 4, and was quite a bit more stable. -
When I switched computers my songs now cut off and don't play out. How can I get my songs back to play fully that I purchased from ITunes over the past years?
Other people have been having similar problems with songs over the last few days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting those tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link. -
Does your music only play out of one speaker?
I was only hearing music played out of the left channel, either with or without headphones and also when played through a dock.
I found the solution:
Go to Settings : General : Accessibility and slide the L - R slider to the middle. Now the music plays out of both the L and the R speakers.
(If you tap the mono button there, then you will also hear sound out of both speakers, but you won't hear stereo effects, so don't do that).Yes, that is a helpful addition to this thread, but my solution has to do with the speakers and the headphones that are plugged into the iPhone, as well as the stereo effect coming out of the iPhone itself. When the accessibility slider is not in the middle, then you only hear one channel of the stereo program whether fromt he iPhone or from plugged in speakers.

I have 4 symbols, each simply a variant in the color and text. All 4 symbols are built on the same animation, but are independent symbols. Each symbol itself is composed of 3-4 symbols. I have combined these 4 into a master symbol. I have created a menu symbol to control the master symbol (e.g. the 4 variants). These 4 variants are identically built and should behave in tandem.
Simple show/hideing works in tandem, no problem. Simultaneously playing IN the timelines of the 4 symbols in works. Unfortunately, each play OUT sequentially. Therefore, I must click 4x to play OUT the 4 variants. (playReverse)
Sometimes it looks like the computer "had no time" to execute all the code, so it skips.
Questions:
Why can't 1 button control the different symbols in parallel?
Does it have to do with playReverse?
Is there a limit on the symbol nesting hierarchy?
In what order/priority does EA execute code?

you can, I can see some errors in your code (edge does not have the best debugger tool built in so it may say code is fine when it is not). the best way to test for errors is to see what you have just code work how you want. you can use the alert (); function to help see if code it being triggered to a value is what you want
e.g. banana = 8, so alert (banana); should show 8 but if It does not I know I have done something wrong

To use playReverse use it like play as it does the same e.g.
Edge uses milliseconds do 2500 = 2.5 seconds. You can play from a label but any trigger will be hit again so you will need to add a bool or something so that the code will not run again in the triggers
Is there a limit on the symbol nesting hierarchy?
Not from what I know I have has 10 within 10 within 4. I would recommend only have around 5 within 5 to 3 deep as you need to know where all the symbols are and what they all do so connecting and running them all can take a long time.
In what order/priority does EA execute code?
From what I have seen from edge it runs code in order, if you have code that does not run then it can be an errors in the code(edge stops running all code in the trigger or click if there is an error in a line). You can use several alerts to see where the errors accurse as the alerts the error will not show.
Use different if statements (have you tested the ones you have? do they work?).
I would use a bool or int if statement as this is easier to keep track of:
In creation compete set the variable;
var variblesname = true; or var variblesname = 1;
you can have as many as these as you like just changed the name
you then set them by
variblesname = the values;
and use them in an if by calling them again
if (variblesname == 8) {
do stuff
else if (variblesname == 9) {
do stuff
else {
do stuff if the other is statements don't work
for your if statements have "else if", if you don't want any other if to play if one of the requirements are met and an else if you want something to happen if none of the "if"'s requirements are met not met
