SIP settings for Nokia N95

Hi All,
Can anybody provide detailed guide on how to make SIP settings for N95 so that I can use internet telephony thru my router?

It'll involve using a proxy put at your disposal by your VoIP provider. Contact them for more details. People here can't help you because they have no reason to know your provider's settings.

Thanks for your reply Mr. Abrar, I tried the steps you have explained but it's still not working, say: "Sorry, can't connect to sip.". It used to work like charms on my Symbian device N8.

ISA server authentication for Nokia N95

Gents,
I have just bought a N95 and I am facing problems on setting the proxy configuration for a ISA server.
I could config the LAN settings but my proxy requires an authentication by username and password and until now I could not figure out how to make it.
My actual settings are:
Nokia N95 (N95-1 - Model: RM-159)
WLAN security mode: 802.1X
* WLAN Security settings:
* WPA/WPA2: EAP
* EAP plug-in settings:
* EAP-TLS (Only this one is selected).
* Personal ceritificate: from certificate (user people)
* Authority certificate: Certificate of your ISA Server
* User name in use: from certificate
* User name: Your User Name (Can be eventualy: Your Domain\Your User Name
* Realm in use: from certificate
* Realm: Empty
Could anyone help me out?

I see this is posted in the wrong forum. Yes you can add the url to the bypass proxy list in IE and it should work.

New Firmware Update for Nokia N95 (RM-159 ) :Decem...

Hello All,
It looks like new firmware update is available for Nokia N95 basic model .
Earlier Version of Firmware was : 30.0.015
Now the latest available Firmware was : 31.0.014
When i connected my N95 to PC using PC-Suite, it notified me about this. But when i searched the internet for change log , i found none. Is it right firmware , why Nokia didn't disclose change log, which it used to do it earlier ???
I will wait for 2 more days for official communication from Nokia....

Ok, so no one wants to install this firmware because theyre affraid they loose their freedom?
Somebody should shine a light on this FW, or nokia has

2G and 3G cell monitoring software for Nokia N95

As far as I understand, Net Monitor application can be download in Nokia mobile phone for monitoring 2G cell parameters.
Is there any sofware that can be installed and activated Nokia N95 phone to monitor 2G and 3G cell parameters in air interface?

The main screen shows the GSM information.
* Cellid
the id from the actual cell
* LAC
the Location Area Code from your cell
* Net
the net you are moving in - e.g. 262 for Germany and 02 for Vodafone. If a W-CDMA/UMTS cell is present is shown here. The number has still 4 digits.
* Name
the name of the cell. This is shown by an algorithm when you select 'Cell Name from Id' in the settings. Or from the cell broadcast when you have turned 'Cell Name from CBS' on and have defined a service number. Otherwise one a '-' is shown. If both is turn on the CBS overwrites the generated name.
* Signal
shows the quality of the receive signal. The percentage value is taken from the Nokia phone API. The dBm values is covered with an at command (CellTrack62) or the newer API (CellTrack70).
* Battery
should show the capacity of your battery
* Description
shows the information from the database.
* Diagram
shows the dBm values as green and the percentage as black line. The red lines a cell changes

New firmware for nokia n95 v21.0.016

greetings all,
i own a nokia n95 classic. and there is new firmware available is v21.0.016 which has few interesting features. and i would like to update to that....
but it is available only at ncp......
which asks to keep your device for a day or more... and they perform lot of rnd on it....( cannot guarantee ).
i cannot trust them...(specially in my city).
so when this firmware is available through nokia software update software...........

not all product codes has v21, try to wait a little while and it should be available for yours.

Live Tiles settings for Nokia Lumia 735.

It seems its no option for the largest Live Tiles in my Nokia Lumia 735 with Lumia Denim.
I want for example the msn weather app/tile cover the display for 100% from left to right in the largest option, not only about 70 %
If I go in to the settings that is not avaible.

Photo not from my phone but just to show what settings I mean.
In my old Nokia Lumia 630 with Lumia Cyan that is not a problem to change the settings for full size live tiles at display or the smaller options.
Is it only my Lumia 735 who got this issue or is it on all devices with Lumia Denim firmware?

Sorry, I was a little bit confused from the attached picture.
Lumia 730 does not have any option to enable 2 tile colums. So your only can hope if microsoft enables this feature in future updates again.

I got the same email today. The email had a link to it, where I was prompted to enter my username and password to my ovi chat account. Sounds like phishing to me. Why would Ovi want my password to accept terms and conditions. Should it not be something like this: click the link, then 'thank you for accepting terms and conditions...'

New Yahoo or any other IM Settings for Nokia in-bu...

Until the last year, this server and all the related settings worked fine!
"Enter your yahoo account (user, password etc) then put in: imps.msg.yahoo.com as server/web address."
But now, it always gives me "Login Failed Error". I think Yahoo has changed IM server settings. Please let me know the new working IM settings for Yahoo or any other IM service (like Gmail, Hotmail, etc..)
P.S. My Nokia model is Nokia 2630!

Usually the server is smtp for outgoing & imap for incoming, never heard of imps.
I have for incoming: imap.nokiamail.com & outgoing: smtp.nokiamail.com both SSL is 'on' & ports set to default.

I own a Nokia N95 (8GB)
works rather well...
Some how i have managed to damage the Volume Buttons on the side of the phone and my volume for my music is set to the default "Volume Level"...(Which isn't very loud)
I need some help 'how to higher the volume without using those buttons on the side'

You're right! Connect the remote (Like the AD-54) and use the remote to control the volume.

Does somebody have the answer to when and how it's possible
to install Flash Lite 2.1 on a Nokia N95?
In the current version I get the errormessage: "Unable to

Well, Alex, if Adobe strategy is that everytime there is an
upgraded version of the FL player users have to change phones, FL
will be irrelevant (as it is now from a market point of view)
pretty soon. FlashLite is not an OS extension or a fudamental part
of the phone, it was very lame to have it included as part of
firmware, when it should have shipped in the memory card sot it
could have been upgraded whenever needed. The fact that basically
none of SonyEricsson UIQ3 models and the Apple iPhone includes any
version of Flash shouldd give Adobe one hint or two about their
wrong strategy (and before anybody jump on the Japan thing, 90% of
FL there is still 1.1). Responding to the original thread, if you
plan to have fun and release things for free then FL is the perfect
choice, if you plaln to make any significant amount of money or God
forbid, release your product thru any Telco operator, you can only
go J2ME or native, whenever we have tried to go the FL way,
operators just said there were not interested.

can anyone tell me wat are the server settings for updating nokia 5800 xpressmusic via phone itself. whenevr i try to update it, it just shows define server settings noe and thats it doesn't work,.. this is a big problem. can anyone help please..

Car kit cradle for nokia N95

I have just bought a new car which has a hands free car kit in it suited for a nokia 6288, my phone is a nokia N95 so it is wider than the cradle that is already fitted for the 6288 and the connection plug in the cradle from the wiring is different in it to what suits a nokia N95.
can i just buy a new cradle that fits a nokia N95 and change the cradles over and if so what about the plug that connects to the phone from in the cradle, can you buy adaptors for these of some sort to change it to suit the N95 instead of 6288?

The N95 does not have a wired carkit option, only Bluetooth.You don't mention what carkit it is that is already in the car but try pairing to it by Bluetooth and that should give some type of identity.
Cradle wise you can have one for the N95, but it will only hold and possible charge the phone.
The Nokia CR-99 will fit but it's a generic cradle.
There are also third party cradles for the N95 such as the Brodit branded ones.

I am in india with BSNL East as my operator.I also have an active GPRS connection.

The only ones I know of and have used are iFiles, Dropbox, and Aji Reader. My Yahoo Calendar also syncs with the native iphone calender app over the air.
Pardon my ignorance, but the iFile and Aji Reader apps require a wi-fi connection. I'm not sure that constitutes an OTA app or not.
