Siri auto-dictation won't insert a period in message. It spells it out. Other punctuation works fine.

If I use auto-dictation to speak directly to Siri, a period will be inserted appropriately. In any other format, Siri spells out the word rather then inserting a period.

Ok, that is strange. Language is set to United States English in both Siri and in general. However, saying full stop gets me a period. So it's a work around if not a fix.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router

If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

After the restore did the phone work properly for a while? Say, a day or so?
If so it is possible you have an app that doesn't let go of memory properly. I reboot my iPhone ( hold sleep/wake and hole till you see the apple logo) every few days. This resets the memory. The iPhone OS has doesn't seem to mange memory very well yet. So a reboot will help with that. I have had my phone almost slow to a stop before I started rebooting. Always reboot after installing a new app. Also do you close all pages in Safari when you are done? This is a good practice. Safari will run in the background and use processor time and drain your battery quicker. Create a new blank page then close all others when you are done browsing for a while. I have also found that certain web site that have animated images like weather maps will turn the phone into molasses. As soon as i close that page it gets faster.
If all of the above have no effect then as Tamara said it is time for a trip to the Genius bar.

Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
Resetting your device

I have an iPod Touch with 5.0.1 and iTunes with 10.5.1.42, and the problem is the syncing process. One of my videos won't get synced not matter how much I try. Other videos works. Any tips?

My iPod is the 3rd generation and it is running 5.0.1, and the iTunes I use is 10.5.1.42 for Windows. When I started syncing my iPod to include one video, iTunes will work fine, but when it is finished, I checked the videos on my iPod and found out there wasn't. I went to the iPod section, and under the movie subsection, I even clicked the video I want to be synced, and clicked on APPLY, then sync. When I tried doing it over the air, or usb, it just won't work. The diagnostic for iTunes says it was all right, nothing wrong is going on. I rebooted iTunes and my iPod several times, nothing! Does it appear in My Computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1

Have a look in Finder Preferences: Click on the desktop, Finder>Finder Preferences.General tab - is there a tick in "External Disks'? If not, tick it.

Please try the following steps,
Download every updates from Apple and HP
Reset or Delete the printer from your mac (it may work trhough USB)
Reset all settings into default settings on your printer
Turn off or unplug mac, printer, modem, router
Plug everything and reboot all
Reconnect the printer to home wifi network and mac also reconnect to the correct network

Its also possible, ....seen it countless times,.......that the CDR media you inserted isnt one that can be read from by your Superdrive,......burn pics to a more standard CDR media......Sony, or Verbatum.
Youd be shocked at the multitude of odd read/write layered variety of CDR and DVDR out there. No DVD player or burner can "see" them all...........worse still write to them.

Firefox updated yesterday and now it won't load any webpages. Have reviewed articles on this problem and checked everything. Still won't load. All other browsers work fine.

Have checked firewall and network settings and compared to other computers running firefox. All is ok, but firefox won't load any webpages. This started immediately after it updated yesterday. No error messages.
Have been having problems with updates on serveral of our computers for a month or so. Previous problems have always been that firefox renames a file it needs by adding moz.backup to the file name and I have to search for the file and remove it. This time I'm getting no error messages.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I have three user accounts on one computer. On only one account when I when I check Help - About fire fox only one user account says apply update and won't apply. The other two work fine.

One of three user accounts on the same computer appears to not be updating to 8.0.1 correctly. One admin and one none admin user account says it is up-to-date. The other non-admin user account, under Help About Firefox says apply update, but won't.

As long as you installed MS Office into its default location (the top level /Applications folder) it will be available to all user accounts on the Mac.
As far as licensing is concerned you only have to enter the license code once, which you should do right after installing MS Office, in the same admin account you installed it from, by opening any one of the MS Office applications. There is no additional licensing required for additional user accounts on the same Mac.
Each user account is able to run the Office apps. The only thing you will have to do is go through an initial setup screen in each user account (but this setup does NOT involve entering any additional license codes).
You may have problems if you installed MS Office in a particular user account (i.e. NOT in the top level /Applications folder).

Please help, I've tried everything! Gmail won't open, it just endlessly cycles and rarely even gives me an error message: all other sites work fine (Windows 8).

All sites work fine except Gmail will not load. I prefer Firefox, but to be fair, Chrome and IE are doing the same thing when I try to use them. Occasionally Gmail will pop up, most of the time it just endlessly cycles and I don't even get an error message. I'm going to have to get rid of gmail if this goes on.
