Does anyone know if it is possible to change Siri's voice? I mean .... without jailbreaking!

Why is British English Siri only male while (or maybe whilst) one can choose male or female for American English? Is the gender choice only for us Yanks? I was thinking that speaking with a Bristish lady might be nice for a change, but I have no choice. What's this all about?

Hello there!
I recently purchased an iPhone 5s and I am noticing that while using Siri, her voice sounds very robotic and not like the Siri voice I left behind on my old 4s.
I purposely did not backup my iPhone 4s when I purhcased the 5s because my phone was buggy and the Apple reps said to do everything from scratch when I got my new phone. (They didn't want the old crap to transfer to the new so I started fresh).
I read on some blogs that if people turn off / back on Siri, she 'finds' her new / better voice, but I've had no such luck. Some people also said to turn off the 'enhanced' slider and turn it back on, which I've done as well.
I've given it 3 days -- thinking maybe she'd get a secret update or something. But sadly, she still sounds like a robot. I mean, she is a robot -- but she sounds WAYYYY more robotic now and not like the more natural sounding female I had on the 4s.
How can I fix this? I use Siri ALOT and it's bugging the heck out of me!

New female and male voices will be available initially in U.S. English, French, and German. You can change the gender by going toSettings > General > Siri > Voice Gender. Your iOS device initially uses a compact voice for Siri. iOS will automatically download and install a more natural-sounding voice when you first connect to power and a Wi-Fi network.

Why is the mic not working working on speaker mode, even though siri and voice memos are working?

I bought my iphone 4s from canada about less than a month ago. It worked perfectly fine, until i recently discovered that the mic on speaker mode stopped working. That means, when i speak to someone on speaker during a call, they are unable to hear me.However Siri and voice memos are working fine. I could initially face-time but now i cant. I have also tried restoring my iphone a few times.
As i am based out of india, I contacted apple in India, they refused to touch the phone as it was purchased in Canada and the warranty is apparently applicable only in the country of purchase. I can in no way go back to canada to get the phone replaced. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can resolve this? Shouldnt apple be able to get this sorted since its a brand new phone under warranty?

What's wrong with Siri and Voice dictation?

Neither Siri or voice dictation is working today.
Any idea what the problem is?

I was having problems with dictation for days - the 3 dots would just vibrate a second, and then disappear. It wasn't an internet connection issue at all.
Finally found a (bizarre) solution on another site - use Siri to dicate a text (e.g., activate Siri; tell it to send a text to ________; then she'll ask you for the content and you say what you want), then tell her to send it.
Voila, now if you go to use dictation, it works again. (At least, that bizarre method worked for me -- I tried dictating an email and it didn't work; used Siri to send a text; then went back and tried dictation again and it was working perfectly.)

It sounds as if you have Voiceover activated. You should be able to turn it off by triple tapping the Home button.

I know that it mispronounced things a bit in ios6, but this is a lot worse! The American voices seem ok.

this is expected, it happened on iOS 6 too. whenever you restore your iPhone, it will take a while for it to download additional content (like the Siri tone, etc).
I had this exactsame thing happen a few months ago on iOS 6. Best bet, wait about 24 hours, and it will be perfect! Even better sounding

I'm afraid that you can't sync content to an iOS device via Home Sharing (you can only stream it to an iOS device via Home Sharing).

Siri Question - Voice Files Sent and Stored to Apple Server

I have read online that when we use Siri, the voice file is sent to Apple and is stored for 2 years for analysis and improvement to Siri functionality. My question is in regards to the voice to text functionality. When I click on the microphone on the keyboard to do voice to text, are these files considered Siri files and are also stored on the server? Or is it when I'm using Siri, holding down the home button, to text someone or look up when movies are showing nearby, is it those files that are being stored?
I'm not sure if there is a difference between the voice to text vs. holding the home button for Siri and whether the files being sent to Apple are treated any differently. Thanks...

Gods this forum is neglected. Oracle where are you guys? Pretty lame effort on helping out the workers. I know use TARs and all that but why have a forum if you don't support it?
Anyways. It seems that if you want your clients to be able to save email in a PST then you could do the Oracle/MS suggested method of not saving sent items and using a rule to push em into a PST. However that is pretty lame for a rollout and far to manual.
You can however create a com add-in to do this. Here are some promising links on getting your sents in a PST. I am hopefully going to get one of these done so I'll share if that happens. I am still interested in alternative solutions for sent items to PST or automating client side rules in outlook.

6300 cannot change voice tag

Why 6300 can not change voice tags for contacts? Is there any software update available?

The voice recognition system is brilliant. Just you have to guess how to work it!
First, play a voice tag for a name you would like the voice recognition system to cope with. To do this, go into names, select the contact. You get the number and the name below with the 'pacman' voice symbol next to it. Select the name and hit 'option' key, then scroll down to 'play voice tag'.
Listen to the phone's pronunciation. Now hit red key to come out of the address book back to main page and press and hold the 'name' button until it says 'speak now'.
Say the name as you heard the phone say it. Hopefully one of the names it guesses will be it.... select the right name and then press the centre key... 'select'. It will start to dial so immediately hang up by hitting red key.
By doing this is learns the right selection, you can even teach it to recognise different numbers for the same name....i.e. if you have "paul(m)" as a mobile entry and "paul (h)" for a home number you can train it to go for "paul (m)" by saying "paul mobile"... or whatever you want...
Once you know how the phone pronounces stuff you don't have to listen to each voice tag as you can guess how the phone will say it, then, using the method described above, you re-train it to recognise it the way YOU want to say it
Quickly it learns and the list of options get less and less....

Siri / google voice search toggle for bluetooth

Is there any way I can turn off the automatic bluetooth connection for siri? I want to keep my phone connected to the bluetooth system, but I don't want siri or voice search to be treated like an incoming call..this is very annoying and doesn't work well at all on my in-car bluetooth.

You can install the iPhone app on the iPad ... but in the App store there is an iPad version of it (actually the same version - it's a universal app that will fit fully on the iPad screen without doubling up).

You would need to change Siri's language to English (U.K). There are two drawbacks to this, though. One, unless you have a U.K. accent of some sort, Siri will have trouble understanding you and two, if you're in the U.S, you'll lose access to Siri's location based services.
