Siri comming for iPad 2 or iPhone4?

Hi, I today upgraded my OS to IOS 6 on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4...
I was in full suprise for Siri, but there was none for iPad or iPhone. ):
Why can't Apple make Siri for iPad 2? or iPhone 4? iPhone 4 users struggeled with those antenna problems for a little while, and now Apple just let them down again with the "no siri for iPhone 4" ...
Does anyone know or this is still something whats still comming? or is this someting that will never be?...
because else I am thinking about downgrading my iDevices to the previous IOS5.1.1... just have to figure out how first
Thanks.

You can't downgrade the iOS firmware.
There will never be Siri on the iPad 2 or iPhone 4.

You should not need to have special IP address configurations to manage your devices and software. You can do this in the private network offered by any router, provided all devices being managed are behind that router. If for some reason you need a static IP on the network (such as for the server itself), then you can delegate one to the server in your router, but you dont need a special public IP address configuration from your ISP to set this up and make use of it.

  • Is Siri available for iPad 2

I just recently purchased an iPad 2. I noticed that it didn't come with Siri.  Why is that? Is there a way to get it on my iPad?

No. Siri is not compatible with that model.

  • Will Siri ever come to iPad 2

When will Siri come to iPad 2?

Nobody on here will know, we are just fellow users like yourself - so far it's only available on the iPhone 4s, and until Apple announce otherwise, that is all it will be available on

Where in this thread did anyone ask "Why can't my iPad 2 get Siri?" My command of English is generally considered better than adequate and I can't find that question or any reference to anyone having or not having the right to free upgrades.
You are correct the iPad 2 is just as capable (in fact more) than the iPhone 4S to run Siri.
The original poster never made this (unfounded) assertion.

First, we're not Apple here (Apple does not participate in this forum).  We're only users like you.
The previous owner has not given you the correct ID and password for you to use.

Since upgrading to ios6, all the family's apple devices (new ipad, 2 iphone4 & itouch) are having difficulty reconnecting to the home hub wifi network. I.e, every time the lock screen comes on, the wifi connection is lost when you reopen the device and we have to reconnect through settings. This appears to be an ios6 software issue.
Is there a solution to this wifi connection issue or do we wait for a software fix?
I'd hate to think Apple is going down the Microsoft path, of passing untested software onto the user. What ever happened to Regression Testing, to ensure the existing functionality remains intact?
I bought into the Apple dream, because it was intuitive, reliable & enjoyable to use, all the things that Microsoft windows isn't.
Other issues we are experiencing are, Games are stuttering and the kids really miss the old YouTube app.
Please Mr Browett, sort these issues out.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

YouTube is not now part of iOS 6.
However, you can go to the App Store and do a search using YouTube. You can download several YouTube apps: YouTube (for the iPhone, a IPad app is in work), several users  like Jasmine and YouPlayer.

  • Is Siri available for my ipad 4 in South Africa

Can anybody advise if Siri is available to download in South Africa for iPad 4. New user, grateful for any assistance or tips. Cheers.

Siri is built-in, you cannot download Siri.
Press the Home button a bit longer and Siri will appear, if not then Siri is not supported in your country.
I'm afraid Siri is not supported in South Africa

  • When will Siri come out for ipod

When will siri come out for the ipod

That again is a wrong answer. When iOS 6 is released, siri will be available for iPad 2 and iPad 3 Mr. Please don't respond witht he wrong answers!
This is the DIRECTLY from Apple Inc.
With iOS 6, Siri understands more languages, works in more countries, and is available on the new iPad.2 So you can get more things done in more places around the world. Want to know the latest scores and stats for your favorite teams and players? Thanks to iOS 6, Siri knows the answers. Or maybe it’s movie night. Siri can show you the latest reviews and showtimes. Find the best restaurants in town and make reservations. Even open your apps for you — no tapping required. Say "Launch Flight Tracker" or "Open Angry Birds" and Siri does just that. You can even use Siri to post Facebook updates and tweet for you, too.  "

  • Siri for iPad 2 in iOS 6

Why can't apple get Siri  to iPad 2 ,seriously come on it has a A5chip and it is quiet powerful if an iPhone 4s can have it ,which still has a A5 chip?and in ios 6 they give the new iPad Siri and not iPad 2. I'm seriously I'm so disappointed with apple.i hope in future it comes or why not just in ios 6.0.

How does that even fly for a logical reason or explanation for this stupidity? You are absolutely right that a car built to have 260 horsepower will have no more than 260 horsepower. If the newer model is given 300 horse then by golly it will have 300 horsepower. You can choose to upgrade your engine in some way to get 300 horsepower at your expense. The same cannot be said about apple and their iproducts which can never be upgraded. Which is why I am completely confused about your comparison. The auto industry is a far stretch from a technology related company. Software upgrades are what people count on when they purchase a technology based product to keep their device going. A basic concept in computing. In other words, Apple's to oranges mon ami! When you purchase a product from a company that claims they are revolutionary, you read and you know that the products are capable in comparison to other products made by the same company and yet they consciously make garbage decisions like not allowing Siri on a device that is more than capable (iPad 2), then something is wrong with the relationship. A paying customer deserves and is surely entitled to a proper explanation from the manufacturer. That's what a consumer driven company is required to do. After all they are nothing without their isheep. They are responsible to their consumers just as they are to their shareholders and board members. It's simply a matter of principle.

How come although iPads are getting more powerful, the iOS apps from apple are so mediocre and just not that great? We spend all this money for the latest ipad and all we get is these $5 video and music apps from apple. Why create the iOS platform and only offer so so apps like IMovie and GarageBand ? While other developers are offering much better apps like pinnacle studio for video, Cubasis and Auria for music production, apple has not showed much growth in terms of innovation. While there's nothing wrong with making an app like GarageBand where "anyone " can make a song, how about something for real musicians or an app not so basic as it get for video editing? After spending 0ver $700 on an ipad I'd be willing to spend more than $5 for a better video or audio app.

First, try a system reset although I can't give you any confidence.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Careless? Possible, but unlikely. Most likely the phone was stolen from the first owner. It would be a VERY careless iPhone owner who did not erase their personal information from a phone before selling it, and to do that it is necessary to disable Activation Lock. In most places in the world knowingly using stolen property is a crime, so the fact that the phone doesn't work may be the least of one's risks.
