Siri is unable to understand my English.

I am from India and using iphone 5S.
Most of the time siri is unable to understand my English whether i set it to UK English or USA English.
Thats why siri answer are baseless to my questions.
So it's kind of useless to me. Any help regarding this issue?

That's because the UK English and US English accents are very different to the Indian English accent.
Until Siri is updated to understand the Indian English accent, you'll just have to practise speaking with an English accent, or an American accent.

I have gather below details but still unable to understand that why two services are there in OC4J in Release 12. My questions are:

Let me chk the complete details on a R12 server. but for the time being, all I can say is that there are different HTTP services for the R12 Apps and the SOA suite components.
Also your DBA might be a better person to answer and even some reading in the Oracle Process Manager Dev guide, Admin guide will help.

Unable to understand meaning of next_time in v$archived_log

hi all,
i am working with 10g standby databases. There are column names FIRST_CHANGE#, FIRST_TIME, NEXT_CHANGE#, NEXT_TIME in v$archived_log. I am unable to understand the exact meaning of these columns by reading the oracle document.
Can somebody explain me the meaning of these columns in v$archived_log.
Same columns are there in v$log_history also but i think there meanings are different as from columns in v$archived_log.

See, when you referred to "v$archived_log", by the name it depends on the Online Redo Log. See, the columns
FIRST_CHANGE#, FIRST_TIME, NEXT_CHANGE#, NEXT_TIME reflects the changes happened with respect to online redolog, Suppose if the online redo log for first time archived then the respect to record will be appeared, in the "v$archived_log" with respect to details like which is first changed started or done in this particular log and time of it, Next change comes to like a link of next log which happened and respective time. By tracking this details itwill help ful for process to apply the necessary logs on data files at the time of recovery.
Coming to " v$log_history " -> its maintains the history of logs, with respect to SCN numbers, by this we can information which SCN will fall under which log files or existing in which logs. it will have lowest SCN and Highest SCN Numbers with respect to Sequnence number of Log

I`ve tried restarting, rebooting, nothing works.
The interesting thing is that SIRI can call to previous mobile numbers (without the new digit) obviously not connecting , and, can call to any other numbers as an office or home number. So the problem is the new digit in the mobile number

Ecuador has added an extra digit to mobile phone numbers but apple wont accept 10 digit phone numbers so we cant use facetime or apple IM or verify our new phone numbers. ( and Siri won't work either!) I have contacted apple support online but can't request a call back as the apple system says our new phone numbers are invalid. I am going to phone them tomorrow and you should complain too at http://www.apple.com/support/contact/. . The more people that bring this to their attention the faster it will get fixed

If your iPhone is unresponsive after missing calls, I recommend first restarting or resetting it:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Unable to understand about the NVL

i want to know the space used by the following column , it may be possible that one of these column will bw null, for taht purpose i m using NVL , but i m unable to understand that where i will put null, to get the exact space

assuming all your columns have datatype varchar2 none
of your select statements will give you a correct
result. You will have to put NVL inside the SUM, so
the statements are reading:
sum ( length ( nvl ( <column_name>, 0 ) ) )
then you will get the right result.

Can't Stop packet from transmitting and unable to understand packet format

I have used JPcap library for capturing the packet. But I can't block the packet from transmitting. How can I stop packet from reaching destination.

Siri can't understand plain English, or Latin, or Italian...

I have an iTunes library that is mostly the material from years of collecting CDs. It's not huge, but it's not small, about 600 or 700 CDs, around 225GB (close to 17,000 "songs"). I've recoded all the Apple Lossless formatted stuff to be AAC. That takes up about 49GB on my iPhone 5's iTunes.
Most of the music is classical. I've spent a lot of time making all the listings standard, including the composer, key, opus, number of the piece if appropriate, time period, and file type (Apple Lossless and AAC).
How can I teach siri to understand my selection?
For example, I'll say "Play the first Gloria of Beethoven's Missa Solemnis." Sadly (and oddly humorously) it says "I couldn't find 'the first gloria of Beethoven's Mrs. alumnus' in your music." [head slap] So I tried it again, enunciating as clearly as I could. Siri: Sorry, I couldn't find 'the first to gloria of Beethoven's Messe so Leninists' in your music." (Doh!)
Or simpler: I'll say "play Mahler Symphony Number 3" and I'll get "Sorry, I couldn't find 'Moeller Symphony number three' in your music."
Another, making it very simple: "Play Beethoven's Cello Sonata in A." It says "I couldn't find 'Beethoven cello Sonata in a' in your music." Yet, here's the listing exactly as it appears in iTunes under Beethove (composer): "Cello Sonata in A, Op 69: 4. Allegro vivace."
One final screw-up on siri's part: I say "Play Rachmaninoff Prelude in c-sharp minor." Siri comes back with "Now playing album 'Symphony no 5 in C sharp minor." What it doesn't indicate is that it's "Mahler's Symphony no 5 in C sharp minor." Rachmaninoff never wrote a symphony no 5 in C sharp minor.
Very frustrating. And I haven't even gotten to the issue of which performance of the same piece I want to play. I probably have 4 or 5 versions of each of the Mahler, Beethoven, and Brahms symphonies. Or, the two different recordings that Gould made of the Bach Goldberg variations.
So, how do I get siri to learn about my music collection and find the piece I'm looking for? It seems like siri should be able to be taught. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Native language is English. When I've used the online database to retrieve names of works, composer's names, etc., it was incosistent. For example, one Brahms's symphony would be entered as: "Symphony No 3 in F, Op 90: 1. Allegro con brio," while another would be "Sym. in D number 2, first movement."
This made it impossible to locate things in my music collection, especially when I might have 4 or 5 different recordings of the same piece done with different orchestras and conductors. Clearly, the naming conventions must be the same to locate anything in a relatively moderate sized database like mine. This is why I went through each recording and made the fields consistent.
Siri virtually never gets it correct. I'd like to be able to teach it how to find the piece I want to hear.

Siri in the US using UK English?

I'm a British speaker living in the US.
Question one: Siri seems to understand me much better when set to "English (United Kingdom)" than "English (United States)". Is that my imagination? Is Siri actually listening for a different pronunciation when set to UK English?
Second question: Assuming the above is true, it still doesn't help, because setting Siri to UK English kicks all the lookup features over to the UK ones.
Is there no way to have Siri set to listen for my British accent, but continue to use the US services? When set to US English, I seem to have much better success if I do a bad American impression when I speak to Siri – obviously a non-optimal workaround!

Ben, this is being reported by many expatriots living in the US it seems; I'm an Aussie and have the same problem. It seems a very odd restriction, hopefully a lazy oversight on the part of the Siri engineers.

But howsoever i try to copy from the client, in the SE71>utilities>copy from client.
am unable to get it in english language.
It still stays in DE language.

GOTO FORM---COPY FROM---HERE U WILL GIVE UR FORM NAME WHICH U WANT TO COPY" Still not getting Englsih.
2)After copying the script from German to English, open the script in english. Now In the menu click Utilities and Click the 'Covert Original Language' submenu. Now your problem will be solved. YOu will be able to make changes in the script.
In this am unable to get it to English in teh first place!!
This is my problem.
Am able to copy.
but am not able to get it to English.

My siri is unable to make phone call ios 8, its says i cant call using that number?

i'm using 5s, with IOS 8. when asked to call any person, SIRI is able to find the contact but says, "i cant call John R using that number". So the question is what number Siri can call. I'm i missing out any settings or updates?

I was finally able to get thru to *611 and after a lengthy conversation they said they are unable to help us without using another phone and yet all of our phones here are Verizon...I live in Brattleboro Vermont and our choices are fairly limited. They simply said they cant help. They talked about going to a Verizon store to perhaps have the program updated however we do not have a Verizon store-there is only a kiosk and they are not so willing to help with prepaid phone lines because they want you to buy a phone there!
I did try the *228 and the call wouldnt go thru either...

Siri suddenly doesn't understand my words

Anybody has the same problem? Perhaps since the last update made. Siri become hard to interpret my words following the commands. For example, it knows my command to make a phone call, but always interpret a wrong name not even in my address book.
Maybe my pronunciation is not well. In the past, Siri would match the most similar person in my address book in a second. I didn't changed anything to my address book. And now, it just returns a name it understands, not even looks up my address book. Why? Did Apple change anything to Siri? Make Siri silly!

I have the same problem. Is there a way to reinstall Siri or have her learn commands? Whenever I have to call a friend called Ken, Siri now always asks if I want to call Kim. When I ask to call my wife Vicki, it says there is no listing for Vicky. None of these problems occurred prior to the upgrade.
I at least have the ability to have it dial numbers without problems

Siri doesn't always understand.

There are times that siri correctly understands me and there times it will not. Even something simple as send, it thinks I say sand. Is there a trick for it to understand you all the time?

I've had this issue too. How do I add nicknames for my contacts? Not sure I understand I how I would do that.
