Siri sending MMSinstead of SMS

Hi all
This is weird and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced it. Firstly, Siri is amazing. I use her constantly (and I'm quite concerned how quickly I've anthrophormophised my iPhone).
I used Siri to dictate an SMS, but it was sent to my friends phone as an MMS. His phone is older than god and he needs to go to a website to view MMS messages so this could be the cause, but I was wondering if it had been seen by anyone else?

The sms text is wrong. If the text have to be: option1*28, appears option1*2895 or option1*95. The text is stored in a RMS. The reading is ok, because in my app i have an option to read all stored data and show it and everything is ok.

Ok, I will try to explain myself better.
When I say:
- Messages, I am talking about the software to send and receive iMessages and SMS.
- iMessage, is the blue bubble
- SMS is the green bubble
Facetime is because if someones callsme and I do not answer quickly on iPhone, and the Macs are using the same network as iPhone, the VoiceCall pops ups and rings, and usually I activate the Facetime option (when is a iPhone). Sorry about this confusion.
So basically, a week ago, I could send and receive SMS, iMessage on my Macs to/from anyone.
Now, I just can send iMessages (blue bubbles with blue name/contact on top [TO:]) and I can't send SMS (text messages, green bubble), I receive error (red exclamation point) and the name/contacts on top [To:] are red.
And as I told, I think it might be because of the new iOS update with iTunes recovery. Because it is the only similar thing I can relate with "loyalchiver" (when an iPhone goes to repair, the restore it.) That's why I tried signout/in in all Macs, but still not working.
About the Text Forwarding function, I had searched and what I was getting was to go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding, but this last option didn't appear, so I thought this was because the pages/foruns that I was reading was for the version 8.1 and not 8.1.1 (Apple could change it, I don't know). But while I was trying to put this working, I had rebooted some where and when I saw your reply, I went again there, and I had the Text Message Forwarding option, so all I had to do was activating it. Thank you!
To "labelchiver", I am not sure how I did it, but try this:
1. close all applications running on background.
2. reboot your iphone.
3. go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding .
4. If you can enter there and your mac is linked, unlink it and link it again.

After upgrading to iOS 5, I cant send pics through SMS anymore??

I can no longer send pics through SMS anymore?...everytime i try to send one, it just prompts me "saving photo" for a very long time until I quit the app?

This happened to be today as well, starting at about mignight this morning. It's only affecting non-explicit material in the music section of iTunes, Movies, TV Shows and Apps seem to be unaffected.
After a lengthly attempt at fixing the problem, "Reset All Settings" seems to fix the issue (for now anyway).

You can send a message through an email gateway so that it appears as a text on someone's phone. However, it's not their regular address. For example, for a Verizon customer, it would be [email protected] Perhaps that's what you're thinking of?

I currently own a cellular iPad mini and an iPhone 4s and would like SMS to be the same on both devices as well as my desktop.
After many months of struggling with iMessage, I decided to turn it off entirely. I discovered that my best friend did not receive dozens of my texts over the span of a few months (I compared our message history side by side). Seems like it had something to do with traveling in and out of wifi zones or possibly conflicts between our two carriers, ATT and Verizon. Regardless, I am not willing to dive into iMessage fully until this gets sorted out. Further, SMS is the standard message format for everyone outside of the Apple sphere, and I do not feel comfortable lumping them together into one app. If I decide to switch to Android, will all of my contacts with iPhones continue sending me iMessages?

Android phones don't receive iMessages, they can recieve SMS messages sent through the iOS Messages app. The app that your contacts choose to use to send you messages is completely up to them.

My iPhone4 loses signal and when I do hard reset, I can't send or receive SMS and calls. I have to back-up and restore weekly!

It started last month before I ungraded to iOS5. So my network provider advised me to upgrade. It fixed the problem but it happens again after several days. But from the other end my phone is ringing but nothing is happening to my phone.This is really frustrating! Coz it happens weekly and the only way to fix it is to back-up and restore. I had the same problem. I went in and added my email address to iMessage and deleted the text to my friends that have iPhones and sent another to test it and it worked. Only thing is now my non iPhone friends don't receive my pic text. I had to turn off iMessage for it to work. Apple needs to fix this ASAP!

you may try this one,
Tcode: ALRTCATDEF
1. select classification "Process Chains"
2. click on display/change
3. double-click on "error in a process of a process chain"
4. click on "fixed recipients"
5. write in your username (you have to maintain your e-mail address in SU01 for that to work)
6. save
Tcode: RSPC
1. go to your process chain (rspc)
2. go into edit mode
3. from the menu, select Process chain -> attributes -> alerting
4. check "send alerts if errors occur" (select as per your requirement )

Hi, many thanks for your help - Pressing and holding sleep/reset hasn't worked, the msg is still continually reporting it is failing to send. I can restore to a previous version however I'll lose my paid apps. Is there any way to work around this. I'm only concerned about one app - Epocam HD which I purchased last month. My last backup on PC is 4 March 13 - before I bought the paid app - Itunes advises me I'll have to re-pay to get my apps (app) back. Even though it advises that icloud backed up this morning at 1:30 am (which although it is before the text, I cannot manually select this restore).

IMessage automatically sending as regular SMS after a while.

I have been having an issue with iMessage and it's now starting to get really annoying. When I sometimes send an iMessage text it shows up that its sent (meaning no read exclamation point) and makes the sent noise but does not say delivered. Later on at some random time it will show up but as being sent as a regular text SMS which I did not tell it to do. This is also happening on a friends iPhone (we both have a 4S on AT&T). we both are on different versions of iOS 5 so the iOS should not be the reason nor should anyone recommend this as a fix because this problem has been occuring on 5.0.1, 5.1 and 5.1.1. I have tried turning off iMessage and turning it back on, rebooting the phone, and doing a hard reset. This problem didnt start happening till within the past month maybe month and a half. Any help can be appreciated and would also like to know if anyone else is having this problem. This problem is also happening on both 3G and WiFi. and on iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
