Siri starts a playlist & then jumps to another one. Help!
This doesn't happen all the time nor does it happen the same way each time.
I will ask Siri to play a playlist. She pulls it up and starts it. The first song is actually from the playlist, but the next song is NOT on the playlist. Restarting the music app and shutting off the phone do not resolve the problem. If I chose to play the playlist manually, it appears to work just fine.
A variation of this issue is that Siri will start the playlist, but only play 2 songs from the list. When you skip to the next song, it only will alternate between the two songs. Opening the playlist and choosing shuffle won't change it. I've shut off the app and it resolves the issue for that one time.
I looked through the communities and can't seem to find this problem anywhere. I no longer have tech support as an option for my phone, but I do have a Best Buy insurance thing where they'll replace it. If possible, I'd like to just fix it though before I go to the extreme - especially since this isn't an everyday problem.

- the phone has 2942 songs on with about 20 gigs free memory.
- turn it off every couple days
What about an AppleScript?
I don't know if it would work or not, as I am not sure of the exact behaviors of AppleScript, but perhaps you can sequence the actions, and perhaps it will wait till one finishes before moving on?
And perhaps Automator could be a solution.
If I can think of a solid solution, I'll post back.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items. -
Playing a Playlist, then moving to another Playlist..?
Ok, here's what i want to do,
I want iTunes to play a certain playlist at a specific time (which I know can be done w/ iCal, I've got that so far) but when iTunes is done playing everything in Playlist A, I want it to start playing Playlist B.
Example, I have a single track in a playlist, we'll call "Podccast Playlist." When that single track is done, I want it to start playing a playlist with a bunch of random tracks in it, called "Random Music"
I could just figure out exacly how long the single track is and schedule ical to play it at the time its over, but that could be tricky, i'd rather it just moved on to the "Random Music" playlist and start playing immediately, after the "Podcast Playlist" is done.
I don't want to dump it all into one playlist, b/c i want the second one to be all random.
any ideas?

When I open new tab, it will go onto new tab then jump to another page without me touching it.
When I open a new tab, it will be the new tab page, the one with the most viewed sites for 2 seconds. Then, it will suddenly change to another site without me doing anything. It isnt just one tab, its all tabs. please help me just get onto the most viewed.

What kind of site is opened after 2 seconds? Does it look like advertisement? It could be that your Firefox installation has been hijacked. Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

IPhone only pays part of a song then goes to another one
I purchased an MP3 album on Amazon and it downloaded directly to my iTunes (I didn't even know that was possible!) Anyway, there are 8 songs on it an I really like one in particular. I've been listening to it alot over the past couple weeks and today when I clicked on it, it started in the middle of the song, played one or 2 verses then went to the next song on the list.
I tried again and it did it again. While it's playing, if you click the back button, it will start over, but it still goes to the same place and stops.
Obviously, when I get home from work, I'm going to try to re-download it to my iPhone. Does anyone know why it would do this? It only does it to this one song only.In case anyone was wondering, I found out what my problem was....sooo stupid...I had made the song in question a ringtone and when I synced the playlist, I put the ringtone version in it instead of the whole song. So when I played that song, it only played the 30 seconds I had edited out of it. Duh.

I deleted the folder that saves everything that is downloaded from Firefox. After that I can't download anymore. I've tried clearing my download history, reset the download folder, reset the download action by renaming the mimetype.rdfs file and it's still not working. I've tried to choose a different download folder but it doesn't let me select any folder at all. If I select "ask me where to save files" and then try and download something, the download doesn't start after I select save to. The only time it does actually download is when I select "open with...windows mediaplayer" when downloading then the download will start. Please help. Thank you.
You broke your phone by getting it wet. Nothing more to say. Bring it in to Apple for an out of warranty exchange or buy a new phone. There's really nothing else we users here can help you with.

Hi. The operating system for a 2010 MBP is 10.6.4 Snow Leopard. If you are trying to install an older operating system such as 10.4.1 which is Tiger. It will not install You cannot install an earlier operating system than the one that come factory installed.

If you add music videos to Up Next playlist, then go to look at the album cover playing screen, then go to add another song from different playlist, you no longer can see Up Next, just go to full screen mode button. Using remote app iPhone 5 to play out of iTunes. It looks like it works fine for regular music, but for music videos you can't see your up next unless you go back on the computer to change once you've left the screen. When using the remote app, you shouldn't need to go to iTunes on the PC to view or edit Up Next already added. See first image, you can hit upper right and get back to Up Next (second image). Third image is music video, where you can't get back to Up Next, just swap between full screen and not. I hoped 3.0.1 would have the answer, no luck!

I just recently up graded from AI CS6 to AI CC and I am having issues with my pen tool. If I create a starting point and then make another point it does not allow me to make the second point an end point. The pen tool stays active and I either have to click to isolate the path or I have to return to the first point and close the path. Please help.

If you cannot close the Pen Tool by switching to another tool, as a temporary measure you may try pressing P (for Pen).
To solve it, you may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

My playlist keeps jumping back
I will be listening to a playlist on my iPhone 4s for a few songs and then pause. A few hours later I will come back to the music App and press play, but it will start playback from the song that I started with last time. So I have to skip any number of songs to get back to where I left off on the playlist. It does this with playlists or when I listen to my entire library on shuffle. Sometimes it keeps jumping back to the same song, no matter how many times I've paused and restarted. Every once in a while it will remember where I left off, but 9 times out of 10 it does not. This is really annoying since I want to listen to the whole playlist, but have to keep skipping through songs to get back to where I was without having to listen to repeats. Any ideas?
I have the same problem on my iPhone 5S, and it is annoying. There may be a fix, however. Go to the Control Center, it seems you can start your playlist where you left off. I'd prefer to be able to do it in Music.app, or at least to have a preference that lets me continue where I left off in the playlist.
Another thing I noticed. When you add albums to a playlist, it seems the "add all songs" button is missing. That's kind of annoying when the album has lots of songs. -
Just updated to Yosemite on my MBP. After shutdown now when I login, it starts the process (the bar starts to move), then the screen goes black, then it asks me to login again and this time it is a successful startup. Is this a Yosemite bug or do I have a virus? I also have some funny tiling on the screen at youtube and some other websites. Another bug?
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

How do I get iTunes 11 to work as the old iTunes did in this respect: after playing a song in one playlist, I click on another playlist, highlight a song, press play, and get the result of that song playing & that playlist continuing? As it goes now, one clicks on the song in the new playlist where the arrow is and then chooses 'Play Song Next.' So, it plays next, but then the song after that is back in the old playlist. I want to use iTunes smoothly without the extra clicks I've had to do in order to get the playlist to continue. This is music for background while I play the violin at restaurants, and extra clicks and hassle is quite unappreciated, especailly since it worked fine in the previous iTunes.
Thanks.At the top of the playlist where it shows the playlist title and the number of songs, there are two icons. Click the "play" triangle to add the entire playlist to "Up Next", or the "shuffle" symbol to do the same thing but in random order. But the currently playing track will stop playing, and all the songs in "Up Next" will be removed (replaced by the ones from this playlist).
If you hold down the "option" key while clicking those icons, the currently playing song will continue playing, and the new playlist will be added to "Up Next" (above the songs that were already there). -
I am Using Photoshop CC 14.2.1x32. When I choose a layer in the layers palette and then use the move tool to re-position an element on that layer, PS forces a jump to another layer. The only way I can re-position is by using free transform on the layer I want to work on. What is happening with PS CC? Please help. About to dump CC and go back to CS 6
You might have been able to change the Auto Select option from the default Group to the usually more user friendly Layer. It's one heck of a useful feature, so get used to using it if you can. For instance, if you have a lot of layers, it can make it a lot easier just to find a particular layer in the layers panel.
