Siri unlocks your phone
I just discovered that Siri can be accessed when your phone is locked. Allowing calls to be made, text to be sent and most importantly access to the Internet. Once you exit out of the Internet you are then on the home screen unlocking the phone without the need for the passcode. Very concerning and needs to be rectified ASAP.
Well after changing the settings which should prevent Siri from working when my phone is locked I've found that it still can be used when locked and I can still unlock my phone with Siri.
Kb - I simply asked Siri to search the web for something when the phone was locked which opened safari. When I was finished I pressed the home button and I was on the home screen.

Using touch ID to wake up and unlock your phone or simulate press of home button when touch ID authentication is not requirethe.

Can you use Apple Pay without also needing to use a passcode to unlock your phone? I don't see that combination of options in settings.
I too don't like this. I would like to be able to use Touch ID for purchases on the App Store, Apple Pay, & Apple Store without having to use a passcode to unlock my phone. Why not allow the Touch ID to be app specific? Let us use it when we need it, not force us to use it for everything or nothing at all. That ***** that you have to set up a Passcode for your phone if you want to use Apple Pay. I didn't know about that. I haven't set that up yet because I'm waiting for them to support my credit card. Now I'm thinking I may not use Apple Pay. What a pain! Come on Apple, let us pick and choose what we want to lock down on our phones!!!

when you buy a sim locked phone you don't pay the full price of the phone
the carrrier pay most of the price because you haveing your phone locked to their network for a period of time make it possible for them to make up for the loss of them paying most of the price of the phone
if the phone manufactor went back on their sim lock and sold unlocks on the side they would be in violation of that agreement between the phone manufactor and the carrier and would be sued for alot! of money -

HT4113 Is there a way to unlock your phone using your apple ID if your screen is locked?
I created a 4 digit password on my phone, locked the phone to make sure it worked, and typed it in....Wrong Password. Not exactly sure how that happened but I have since tried every combination I can think of (waiting 60 minutes apart of course). Apple support told me I need to restore to last backup but before I try that I was wondering if there was a way I can use my Apple ID to unlock it. I understand this is a security measure, but with all my info I should be able to unlock my phone so that I don't lose all of my data. Or at least have Apple unlock it for me:)

No.
If you forgot your passcode, restore the phone from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.
In your case, it sounds like you haven't done a backup since creating the passcode. If true, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device. -

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device on the computer that you Usually Sync with...

I just got the samsung galaxy stratosphere two. I am having the problem where when I put it in my pocket it isn't locked at it is hitting buttons on its own. I have gone through all the settings and can't seem to figure out a quick and easy way to lock the screen before i put it in my pocket so that this doesn't happen, and then unlock it when i'm ready to use it again.

Are you referring to the passcode on the screen lock? If so, you need to restore the iPhone from the computer to which the iPhone is synched.
If you are referring to the lock to a cell carrier, there is no "code" of any sort. Only the carrier can authorize unlocking, so you need to contact them.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
