Siri won't schedule appointments

Siri won't schedule appointments on my Ipod Touch fifth generation although I have activated Icloud

Siri can search things on the web, make calculations, look up weather, but can't make notes, reminders, alarms and calendar-related stuff.

Hi ***- Finally got Siri working the way it was suppose to on my ipad3.... After doing a few things suggested by the Apple Store (just verbal help without an appointment setup) I actually setup an appointment today and took my ipad into the store- basically- it required erasing everything on the ipad- and instead of doing a backup using my computer- I had everything re-populate on the ipad from "icloud" while in the store- so far everything still seems to work ok- however I have no plugged the ipad into my MacBook Pro yet- - but everything I needed on my ipad was already stored on the cloud anyway- so once I plug into my MacBook Pro and see if Siri still works correctly- we will know if something on the MacBook caused the problem-
Hope this info helps you guys- so to recap without so many words-
After spending an hour with the Apple folks- they finally did an erase on my ipad-without it being connected to my computer-
Once the ipad erased and restarted- we tested Siri and it worked fine- then I typed in my Apple ID stuff- and over an hour or so- everything that was stored on icloud gradually downloaded onto my ipad-
I'm now home- and setting up everything else- and occasionally testing Siri during the process- tomorrow I'll plug in the ipad to my MacBook Pro and see what happens after that-

SIRI won't say my name but it's there in text. When I ask it my name it will say it correctly. Example - If I say good morning it will say good morning to you too, (my name) but it doesn't say my name. but the text shows my name. Also, is there a way to make SIRI say good morning or good afternoon when phone is activated?

Block Time and Scheduled Appointments

Does anyone know how to show block time (multiple hours together) and then schedule appointments within that block time? I reserve block hours each day for clients, and then I want to schedule actual names within that block time, showing the block time and names on iCal. I sthat possible?

I've been looking for the similar feature - "appointment padding" - where you can factor in travel and/or potential overruns without creating multiple appointments. I usually resort to using multiple calendars - but a single entry that let you pad before and after would be a good feature.

SIRI won't call "the mother of my girlfriend" and says that an error occured or calls my own "mother"!
Please, help me out. I work my self by an Apple Reseller and no one of my collegas can help me out!
*the problem is not coming from my Contacts Book or Settings because everything is perfectly configured and this error is recent !

Siri won't open apps

I just updated to iOS 7. Everything seems to be working fine, except that Siri won't launch any apps. She will say, "I don't see an app named ..." I've tried it with apple apps and other apps. She always says the same thing.

Finally, I was able to fix this by doing a reset on my iPad (Erase all data and settings). I was trying to avoid this as it was quite cumbersome, but I had pretty much tried everything else and nothing worked. Now, Siri is opening apps, but unfortunately, I lost some of my books during the resetting process. Hopefully, this will work for everybody.

According to this forum: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2175165/all, it seems that Siri is expecting a 7-8 digit phone numbers excluding the country code and area code, so adding an extra "0" digit or two at the back of the phone number may be able to fix your problem. The phone number should still connect correctly. Try that, it works for me in Indonesia where some phone numbers are still 6 digits.

Pc sync changing my scheduled appointments on my E...

Just got my E61, using PC Suite to sync my Outlook Calendar. After sync process, I noticed it changes my scheduled appointments to 3 hrs ahead or sometimes an hour ahead. I've reinstalled the software but still having the problems. Any suggestions?
My system is:
Windowns XP
Service Pack 2 installed
Connection mode - Cable
PC Suite 6.8
I made sure the automated time is manual so it wouldn't change when I travel to diffrent cities/countries.

I have an identical problem. It seems to work in both directions. If I enter the appointment on my phone and then sync to the Outlook calendar, the appointment shifts by an hour in Outlook too.

Try a Reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

When I ask Siri "How does my day look tomorrow?" she tells me every appointment (busy) and task (free) I have scheduled. I'm trying to find a way to let her know that I'm only interested in seeing what appointments (busy) I have that day.
Has anyone found a way to do this? I'm using iCloud calendars on all my devices.
I've already used iCloud calendars to designate each individual event as either "free" or "busy," but she continues to display all calendar events when I ask for an overview of my day. I've tried to do this from my iPhone, Macbook, and iCloud website.
Moving my tasks to my "Reminders" app won't help, because I need to be able to schedule time to work on specific tasks and also put important deadlines into my calendar. At the same time, when I ask Siri, "How does my day look," I am only interested in knowing what appointments I have that day.
I've also tried asking specifically "What meetings do I have in my [work/personal/family etc. calendar]" but that doesn't work either.
I've also tried asking "Can you show me when I'm busy today" and "Can you show me todays's appointments."

Siri won't recognize certain names in Contacts

When using my iphone 5C (running 7.0.3.) to email, call or text a friend named Chris Ryder, Siri always recommends 2 to 3 different contacts, citing she can't find the contact I'm requesting.
I've deleted his contat info and then created a new contact for him, but Siri still can't identify him. Any suggestions?

Reminders uses data detectors to automatically convert text, or speech via Siri, that refers to date and time into a scheduled date and time (i.e. Today, 6:00 PM). There is no option to turn data detectors off.
However, you can use a word that they do recognize to schedule a time of day after the word "evening". Depending upon the time of day the reminder is made it will either be scheduled for today, or tomorrow if the time of day has already passed.
