I installed the windows media player add on as I was getting a error when i tried to play the sirius online. Now it loads yet i get no sound at all. Can anyone help?

Can't Get Audio with Sirius Online Player

PC: H-P desktop with Windows 98 SE Internet: Windstream (formerly Alltel) DSL Router: WRT54G v.8 With a direct Ethernet connection between the PC and the DSL modem, I can listen to Sirius Online player, but when the WRT54G router is added between the modem and the PC (either wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable), I no longer get audio on the Sirius Online Player. I can log into my account on Sirius but when I select a channel, the player says it is "Connecting" for a few seconds and then it says "Ready" and doesn't play anything. When the PC is directly connected to the modem, the player will say it is connecting but then displays different messages: "Connecting to media", "Buffering", then "Playing..." and works fine. Our two laptops running Windows XP Home can wirelessly connector to the router and play the Sirius online player without trouble. Any help would be appreciated.

I have found the answer - it was a stupid setting in my
Windows Media Player: Options, Player, Connect to the
Internet was unchecked. It is still baffling to me that
it would work without the router and stop working when
I put the router between the modem and the PC.
You just have to know the right question to ask, or Google.
Another post mentioned that sites like Sirius's player had
Windows Media Player embedded and that Options settings in
the WMP on the PC affected the embedded players. The poster
suggested checking the "Connect to the Internet" option.

Sirius online player

Can anybody help with why I cannot get the online player to work on the sirius site ?? I have upgraded both my windows media player to the 9 series. I have updated my adobe flash to the latest version available on their site. I have updated quicktime to 7.3. The above players work for every other application or website I have attempted to use them for. However, when I attempt to listen to sirius I still get a message window that says "the playlist format is not recognized" after it attempts to play ?? I have used this service in the past prior to upgrades without any problem. ANy help would be appreciated. My wife has an old Dell in the house with non upgraded players and it works fine ??? Thank you

Can't access the Online Player, nobody can help

I am at my wit's end.
I am an Infinity customer, and all I want is access to the BT Sport Online Player. This seems to baffle absolutely everybody at BT.
I can't activate the player online, since it constantly gives me an error. Why you need everyone to manually activate a free service is beyond me. Just do it for us.
After a few days of this error I call up, and must answer the automated question. I say "BT Sport". This puts me through to the BT Sport (sales) team. I did this on Sunday and the helpful agent said they'd add BT Sport to my account and I'd get a welcome e-mail within 15 minutes or at most 24hrs.
It's now Tuesday and nothing is working still, so I call up again. Again I'm put through to the sales team because of the useless voice recognition system. The guy says he can't help me at all being on the sales team, and gives me a new number.
.... The new number goes to the exact same place; merely a robot asking me to state my problem. I say "Technical Support" this time and am put through to an automated robot that tests my line and calls me back. The tests are done (I assume) and I get the call back. The robot says they can't solve my problem (without anybody asking what the problem was) so I'm put through to a human.
This person is from the landline technical department and has nothing to do with BT Sport, so puts me through to someone else. I don't know where this was, but they listen and seem to try to do something... but then just transfer me to someone else. This is, you guessed it, the BT Sport team!
I explain to the guy that I've been passed around for ages and want this fixed, and he seems confident that he can. After a few minutes of "looking into it" he puts me on hold. The hold music plays and I wait, before suddenly being put back into a "queue"....
... for 45 minjutes, and nobody answers. I hang up in anger.
Enraged at this point, I call back to the BT Sport team. The poor lady on the other end takes the brunt of my frustration but reiterates that they are just a sales team and can't help me at all. She gives me the number for "tech support" which is just the same number I was given before (08001114567) that just goes to the voice thing again. I explain this and she's very sorry but otherwise totally out of ideas.
Can anyone tell me what to do here? This is the most ridiculous experience I've ever had with customer service and I've no idea what to do. I can't believe that it's so difficult for BT to just Activate my account for BT Sport so I can use the Online player.

No, it says I must activate it. Which I try to do via the link, hit the checkbox confirming my account, but just get the same cryptic error over and over. It says this:
There's been a technical error – but you can still place your order online.

Cannot activate online player

Why can I not activate the online player for free BT Sport? I have had a BT Broadband account for several years and have today upgraded to BT Infinity. When I try to activate the player I get a message stating

You need to have a BT Sport TV pack subscription or BT Broadband to watch the BT Sport App and online player.

Why can't I activate the BT Sport Online Player

I simply want to actiivate the BT Sport Online player for use on my laptop. When I try to activate it I get a technical error. Speaking to someone is a joke, the FAQ's don't apply and the response to my email was a generic one about ordering BT Sport. As far as I can tell there must be an error with my account but getting very frustrated in getting a resolution.

Online player is quiet

I've noticed the online BT Sport player is quiet in volume, relative to other applications on my PC. I tend to increase the volume for the BT Sport player, and then jump when another noise on my PC makes a noise twice as loud!
Volume bar in online player: maximum
Mozilla Firefox volume in Windows 7 Volume Mixer: maximum
Any chance of increasing the volume of the online player a bit?

Reply from mod, oh thats easy the files for hd are some huge that sky go can't play them and no app can stream hd due to this and so when they say they are they're really sd streams, if there was any way around this we would have done it now.

Error 3222 with online player

online player trys to buffer then I get error 3222. I have installed latest version of silverlight same message. I have tried using the latest version of google chrome aswell as IE.... any ideas???

Listening to Sirius Canada online sub with a plug in?

Hi all, I have a Sirius sat radio, and as part of that, we can listen to sirius online too. Just tried to do that with the Mac today, and I get the following message:

So it directs me to that page to download something, I tried to down load the plugin for quicktime but that didnt help. Do I have to download and install Windows media player 9 for OS X....will that fix my issue or is there something else thats easier that I can do....just looking to not have any Windows file on the Mac if its possible.

These are the downloads and the settings you need in order to view/hear pretty much everything that the net can throw at you: The setup described below has proved repeatedly successful on both PPC and Intel macs, but nothing in life carries a guarantee!
Assuming you already run OS 10.4.9 or above and have Quicktime 7.2, and are using Safari 2 or 3, download and install (or re-install even if you already had them) the latest versions, suitable for your flavor of Mac, of:
RealPlayer from http://uk.real.com/player/
Flip4Mac WMV Player from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/wmcomponents.mspx (Windows Media Player for the Mac is no longer supported, even by Microsoft)
Perian from http://perian.org/
Adobe FlashPlayer from http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash
In Quicktime Preferences, under advanced, UNcheck Enable Flash, and under Mime settings/Miscellananeous only check Quicktime HTML (QHTM).
In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them).
Now repair permissions and restart.
The world should now be your oyster!
You should also have the free VLC Player from http://www.videolan.org/ in your armory, as this plays almost anything that DVD Player might not.

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest versions of Flashplayer and Flip4Mac and I have the latest version of Quicktime. I have also repaired permissions after each of the above actions as well as clearing the cache in Safari.

I can see there is an apparent issue with the Library and the version of Flip4Mac it contains. I'm not very confident poking around in the directories without some guidance. Any suggestions?

Flip4Mac issue. They suggest using the older version until they fix it.

Bt app and online player

hi, now this is a sim;ple question, I have bt sport and can get all the interviews etc and all the information about fixtures but when I go to watch I`m getting error....or install silverlight, did that and just keeps asking me to install which i have done, so how do i watch live sport on my laptop...help...thanks

BT Sport Online Player - Blank Login Page

Logged in, click BT Sports 1, 2 and ESPN but the page goes blank and the tab at the top flickers from "login page" to "connecting" and back again. But the main page remains completely white blank.
I'm on a Mac if that makes any difference.
Why no work?

On a Mac, are you using Safari (with Silverlight plug-in) or Chrome browser? Chrome is not supported.

Safari and Sirius audio player

Has anyone experienced the Sirius satellite audio player not playing with Safari?
And if so, what the fix was? The Sirius audio player requires Windows Media player.
Using iMac G-5... non Intel based chip.

Download Flip4Mac, install it, and it should work (I use it often with Sirius Online). Windows Media Player has been discontinued for the Mac platform.

Sirius Player doesn't work after upgrade

I let Firefox update today to 4.0.1 and now my Sirius XM internet player won't work. It's not my computer. I opened it in IE and it works fine. I prefer using Firefox but need to know how to fix this. The player was working just fine in Firefox before the upgrade. I use it every day.

I just tried Sirius Player on my FF 4.0.1 and it worked fine for me. So it's compatible with FF 4.0.1. Try to delete your cookies and cache to see if that helps:
