Sister's Blackberry continues to dial my number when she says phone is locked

I'm not sure what model Blackberry my sister has, but here is the issue.  Keep in mind that she doesn't know a whole lot about how to use any of the functions of the phone.  It was a gift and she only uses it as a phone.  Here is the problem.  She continues to call my number very frequently at all times of the day or night.  The calls fill up my voice mail because she is not intending to call.  As a matter of fact when I call her back she claims her phone is locked and in her purse.  This appears to be true because on the voice mail all you can hear are muffled voices or just surrounding sounds.  This only appears to happen to my phone number which leads me to believe she must have my number assigned to a speed dial and if she reaches into her purse for something she is accidentally hitting that button.  She claims she does not even know how to set up speed dial, or use it so it is very unlikely she has my phone number assigned.  I also know that it is not a redial situation because it happens even after I have not called her or she called me in several days.  Since my phone is not a Blackberry and I don't know anything about Blackberry's, I can't help her find the answer and since it is more a problem for me than for her, she won't take the time to try to find the answer.  I am at wit's end and have had to turn my phone off at night in order to not get these random calls from her phone.  Please, please, if you know why this could be happening, please let me know.

If you haven't already tried, see if you can force it into recovery mode to restore it:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.  If that doesn't work, the last thing you can try is to put it in DFU mode to restore it: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2648467?threadID=2648467&tstart=0.

I downloaded the latest operating system for my iPhone 5.  It worked fine for about two minutes then the phone requested a password number to continue. Each time I inserted numbers, which were incorrect, the phone would lock up for a certain period of time.  Now, it says “iPhone is Disabled”.  It said to “Connect to iTunes” which I did, but iTunes does not recognize my phone.  If I scroll the face to the right, it goes to the phone number face and says, "No Service". Can I do something to make the phone work?

  • How to speed dial a number when accessing att voice mail

When I dial voice mail for my land line, it first asks for a password, then the phone number. Is there a way to speed dial a number like this?

    Not that I'm aware of.

  • How to display only contact containing a number when accessing from phone

Many of the contact in the address book, contain e-mail only data. These are very useful for mail but are distracting when you launch the address book to call someone. Is there a way to show only names that actually have a phone number, when you open the contacts from the Phone app.

    Not that I'm aware of.

  • My serial number when entered, says that my iPad2 has been replaced. So my registration is invalid, and so's my applecare. The apple shop can't help, applecare says we only fix things, and tech support only raises cases, but doesn't solve the problem!

    Hi,
Bought IPad 2 from an authorised reseller in Bangkok, Istudio. Added on an Applecare contract for it. All happily registered to my appleid and confirmation emails got from apple and applecare.
A month later, I get an email from an apple shop in Canada (never been to that country), telling me that my Ipad cannot be repaired and has been replaced. I raise the issue with Apple Tech Support, they tell me that maybe the person in Canada entered the wrong serial number.
Now when I check my serial number, it says this Ipad has been replaced, and so obviously that even makes my applecare invalid.
Went back to the store, went to the service centre and went back to tech support, no joy.
Any suggestions? on how do I resolve this?
    Thanks

  • I have a brand new IPhone 4G.  For the life of me, I can't get the phone to ring. I have been in and out of my settings, have disengaged both silent and vibrate.  But when dialing my number from another phone, the call goes direclty into my voice mail

I have a brand new IPhone 4G.  I can't get it to ring.  I have gone into settings and disengaged vibrate, and have engaged the ring button on side of phone.  But everytime I dial my number from a different phone, it doesn't ring. Rather the call goes directly into my voice mailbox (ogm heard immediately); not even one ring! Please advise

Well, if it goes to VM immediately the call isn't reaching your phone, so no wonder it isn't ringing. Do you see a network displayed in the upper left of the screen? Have you activated the phone by connecting to a computer with the latest version of iTunes? Have you called your carrier to make sure they have provisioned it correctly?

  • Lync client won't connect to a conference via dial-in number hosted on deterrent pool than conference.

    I have been
troubleshooting a very strange issue with Lync clients being unable to connect
to a conference via dial-in number when the conference is hosted on a different
pool. This happens internally and there is no media gateway or SIP trunk
    involved.<o:p></o:p>
    Users are
unable to join a conference from Polycom CX phones and Lync 2013/2010 software clients
by dialling conference Dial-in number which is located on a different pool than
actual conference. Users are prompted to input their conference ID, however,
they are never connected to the conference (10 min silence followed by error
    announcement). <o:p></o:p>
    This only
happens if the dial-in number is homed on a different pool than conference.
Both pools are Lync 2013 Standard Edition running on Windows Server 2012.
Servers and clients are patched with the latest CU.<o:p></o:p>
    I noticed that
when you call dial-in number’s SIP address, user will get transferred to a
conference (works ok). When you dial just a number users is never transferred
and RT Audio traffic still goes directly to a server which is hosting dial-in
    number.<o:p></o:p>
    After
checking Lync traces it looks like Lync client ignores the REFER message from
the FE server hosting Dial-in number and it never send an INVITE to the server
    whit active conference.<o:p></o:p>
    The only difference
between INVITES for working calls and calls that failed to connect to the
conference is the presence of the user=phone in TO header:<o:p></o:p>
    Working
    invite:<o:p></o:p>
    TO:
    <sip:[email protected]><o:p></o:p>
    Failed invite:

Please try to disable refer support for all pools.
The problem seems occur when Attendant transfer the call to another pool.
Please provide more trace file information.

  • Blackberry wireless headset HS-700 dials one number only

I just got a new wireless headset for my blackberry curve. It's supposed to be new, in box. Now that it's set up and connected, when I command it to dial a call it calls the same number ... An 870 area code number I don't know. No matter what I tell it.

Hello BobbiOlson and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Sorry to hear you are having issues with your Bluetooth® headset and your BlackBerry® Curve™ 9300 smartphone.
Does this mysterious number appear in your Contacts?
If you were to go to your Contacts and select the number to dial, are you able to manually dial the number or does it default to the 870 number?
If you disconnect the headset does this still happen?
    Thanks!

Never mind.  Found my answer.  Sometimes all you have to do is type it - then you can figure it out!

  • Why can't I tell Siri "No" to stop dialing a wrong number? It's embarrassing to keep telling the same people over and over that I mistakenly dialed their number. Even if I yell "stop" or "no" it keeps dialing. Very frustrating.

Why can't I tell Siri "No" to stop dialing a wrong number? It's embarrassing to keep telling the same people over and over that I mistakenly dialed their number. Even if I yell "stop" or "no" it keeps dialing. Very frustrating. Even very simple names. And I talk on the phone for a living. Which is why I need to use Siri to save me time. I speak very clearly. Because of this problem, I've had to even add special code letters before people's names to increase the chances of Siri getting it right, which is only about 70% of the time.

That is not a feature of Siri. Submit your feedback requesting such a feature directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback
Note that yelling at the phone does not improve the chances that Siri will understand you.

  • Is there a URL to open phone app (not dial a number)?

    Hey Guys,
So I'm using Launch Center Pro (loving it, by the way) but I've come across a bit of an issue. I put in most of the numbers I dial into LCP to act as a speed dial and, as a result, relocated the phone app to the last page of my iPhone. However, if I get a voicemail and miss the notification I have to swipe all the way to the last page to open the app and access them. I'm wondering if there's a URL (like LCP uses, some variation of tel://) that allows me to simply open up the phone app or, if possible, open to the voicemail page? I noticed that when you do dial a number in LCP it opens the prompt window in LCP and not the dial screen in the phone app.
    Thanks for the help!

...there has to be a way around this without having to run a program like paralells or to run a dual boot with leopard on another drive?
In my experience advising Logic users, depending upon the version of Logic and the model Mac you are using, if your Mac will boot from Snow Leopard, you can install Logic and all of its plug-ins in Snow Leopard and then upgrade to Mavericks.
