SIT page in OAF

Dear all,
I have struck in SIT page,As per requirement,Messagetextinput bean is readonly.I did this field read only but my issue is while click on apply button that data is not save in data base.
But field is messagetextinput bean then that data is saved in the data base.How to resolve this issue.Kindly send me any solution.
Is it possible to save the data in the data base like messagestyletext input bean in SIT page.

Hi Kumar ,
The value retains on the page when you click on save button ?? or value gets disappears ?
Use sop and try to get the value printed when you click on save button see if you can able to print the value in debug statement.

Is it possible to launch a form from an OAF page using OAF Personalization

In R11, the Customer Standard form ARXCUDCI was customized to call a custom block from the Address screen. In R12 the customer standard form has become an OAF page. We have decided to create a custom form for the custom block using Oracle Developer. However we need a mechanism to call this custom form from the Customer Standard OAF page.
My query is if it is possible to call a custom form from an OAF page using OAF personalization only (i.e. without directly customizing the code of the OAF page)

Dear Apurba,
I have made some progress.
I have open the Customers OAF Page, queried a customer, selected a site and opened it.
Then chose Personalize "Account Site Address"
There I added a Button on the Header Address level
ID=XXTVL_LASSY_BUTTON
Populated the Additional Text and Prompt properties.
Also set Destination URI=form:SYSADMIN:SYSTEM_ADMINISTRATOR:STANDARD:FND_FNDMNMNU.
The button is now showing in the address page, and when I click on it it opens the seeded Menu form.
I now have to create the custom form and set Destination URI to the Custom Form.
I am also aware how to add parameters to Destination URI.
But could you let me know how to read the value from a OAF page form field and reference it in Destination URI.
I need the value of PARTY_SITE_ID of the Address OAF page.
Alternatively, the Site Number is displayed on the OAF page. If I can read it that will also do. I can use the Site Number in the custom form rather than PARTY_SITE_ID

Customer Account Sites page behavior

Hi
I am novice to OAF. I will take my best shot to explain the problem.
Oracle Applications : 12.0.4
Problem : Customer Account Sites page is displaying account sites in DESCENDING order of PURPOSES instead of ASCENDING.
All the times, account sites were displayed in Ascending order of purposes. This will list Bill-To sites first and then 'Ship-To'. All of a sudden, account sites are started showing in reverse order listing 'Ship-To' first and then 'Bill-To'.
There are no customizations, patches, personalizations applied to this form.
Same form works in all other instances other than Production as expected (listing Bill-To sites first).
What could be the reason so that sorting order of data element PURPOSES to change from Ascending to Desending? How to fix it?

This is happening for all users.
As a work around... User are using either clicking on Purpose column to sort again or filtering out 'Bill-To' sites. This is causing them irritation.

When i click on safari top sites page comes up ,how do i remove it

The account application created using can see current Blank Site page but no other user account see current page only some old page?

Hello Community
    Using Sharepoint 2010 Server and the UI, building an intranet
starting with a Blank Site and then adding subsites can be accomplished.
    However, in this case the current Blank Site page that was created only shows
when logged in using the account that the application was created under.
    Any other account used to login with when the url is typed into the
address bar does not show the current Blank Site page.
   Instead when using any other account the page that is returned is
some page that was created early in in the creation of the site.
    A Blank site is said to be:
        "A blank site for you to customize based on your requirements."
    I checked-in the v4.master and approved it but the problem still exists.
    Then I checked the Site Collection features under Site Collection
Administration "Active" contains:
    Sharepoint Server Publishing Infrastucture
    Sharepoint Server Standard Site Collection features
    Then I checked under Site Actions has Manage Site features "Active"
contains:
    Sharepoint Server Publishing
    Sharepoint server Standard Site features
    It is said that maybe the page needs to be "Published". Basically
this is a Blank Site page so when the instructions says:
   "To publish a page, on the page that you are editing, on the
Page Editing toolbar, click Publish."
    I am unable to do it because when I:
       "Edit Page"
    There is not no option on the ribbon to choose "Publish".
    Neither did I see the "Publish"option when editing the v4.master in SPD.
    In summary, when logged in with the account that everything was created
under I can see the current Blank Site with the Lists and everthing else
on the page but how come when I login with any other user account
I don't see the current Blank Site page but instead see some old page that
I may have created earlier when creating the application?

    I think it is worth mentioning that the Top Link Bar shows what appears
on the current Blank Site page but it is the OOTB NoteBoard and Discussion Board
List which both reside in Left web part on the Blank Site page that has been replaced
on the page by what had been in an old Content Editor web part during early creation.
    How can I grant permissions to the OOTB NoteBoard and the Discussion Board List
that would allow other user accounts to see them, thus making the entire current Blank Site page
visible other user accounts?

Run the page from your JDeveloper locally using the DBC file. I assume you are developing the pages using JDeveloper, so you should be able to run the page.

When I click on a link in an email, it does not automatically open the site page? When I receive an email with a link in it, if I click on the link to open the page, nothing happens. It does not open the internet to that page.

1. Hope you have placed the custom jsp page (which you have downloaded from server) under "jdevhome\jdev\myhtml\OA_HTML" directory ?
2. Try to run the custom jsp page from Jdeveloper directly and check whether its working properly or not ?
(i.e. add jsp page to any project in Jdeveloper then right click on jsp page and select Run xxx.jsp)
3. If page errors out then custom jsp page seems require few parameters to run it successfully. Pass all requied parameters and test.
4. There is no problem in the way you are calling jsp page from OAF page.

For troubleshooting this issue, let's verify the followings:
Whether you can create wiki pages well.
Whether this issue occurs for other sties.
Whether all users have this issue. Please test with Site administrator, compare the result.
As Naveen said, please check the log file to find more information about this issue. The path of the log file is: C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS.

Default value in LOV field in Create and Update page in OAF

I am unable to default LOV field in Create and Update page in OAF.
I tried in below way :
OAMessageLovInputBean lovBean1 = (OAMessageLovInputBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("AAA");
But I am getting developer mode exception, so please guide me how i can set the default value for create and update page instead of using code in process request method in controller.

1) In case of create, you can default the value either in EOImpl or in AM while initializing the row:

2) In case of update, execute the VO (also set the where clause if required) in PR method of update page.

How to create Printable page in OAF using Jdev10g

I tried to create a printable page in OAF using the following steps given in devguide of OAF
Step 1: Add a page-level button as described in the Buttons (Action/Navigation) document.
Step 2: Assuming your button label is the standard "Printable Page," apply the OA Framework attribute set /oracle/apps/fnd/attributesets/Buttons/PrintablePage.
Step 3: Set the button's Destination URI property to point to the current page and set the UIX facet parameter (OARF) to printable as shown in the following example (See Controlling UIX Rendering Output for additional information about facets). Remember to retain your application module.

Step 4: Set the button's Target Frame property to _blank to ensure that the printable page opens in a new window.
but after doing this i am getting below exception.
Exception Details._
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: The application id or shortname () you entered does not exist._
i am new to OAF..

How to setup jpeg file as background image for all site pages and resolution stay same?

I have uploaded my new site to http://wwwtjhtestdec2012.businesscatalyst.com
I have background image set the same on all site pages but image is incorrectly zoomed way in on some pages (like Home page for example).
The Donate Page shows the correct resolution which I want displayed on all site pages.
How do I set all other site pages to match background image resolution of the Donate Page?
I am not sure what I am doing wrong that is changing this, or if it's possibly a bug?
I want the background image to be full screen on all site pages please advise how to resolve.

I have re-uploaded my site to http://wwwtjhtestdec2012.businesscatalyst.com.
If I set the Master page to Tile vertically that is only way I can get full screen background image of vegetables (without distortion).
Then however another issue occurs....
On Home Page of site I set same property to Tile and the background is better (no visible line where tiles meet---above the navigation tool bar--that is what I want for all pages associated to Master.
So logically, I tried setting a 2nd associated site page to same master, to Tile but on Statement of Faith Page, notice the horizontal line where tiles meet, above my navigation bar on that site page?
Why does Muse not handle both site pages associated to the same master identically?
Any of the other options besides Tile or Tile vertically cause the background to not fill entire screen.
Ideas?

Show breadcrumb bar only on main list pages but not site pages

Is there any way to show the breadcrumb bar only on list pages (for example to navigate in document libraries, surveys, etc.) but no in site pages or wikipages. The only solution I found was adding a webpart to each page I want to
hide the breadcrumb bar but this is no long-term solution. How can I make sure that the breadcrumb bar only shows on ootb list pages but not on my site and wiki pages?

One way of hiding breadcrumb is through css. You can apply the css in custom master page that will hide the breadcrumb and in your default master page leave it as it is.
Using IE developer tool, check the class that is applied on the breadcrumb and apply as style of display none to that class. This way you can hide the breadcrumb. I don't have my dev box up so cannot tell the exact class right now but using IE developer
tool you will be able to find the same.

Can i please technically know how to export an .aspx file (in Site Pages library of a team site) to local file?
Basically, SharePoint Designer has this feature "Export File"
i Need exactly the same feature that can be done in Powershell
I tried the following

The file exported via this method is Clean HTML without the Web Part Customisation!

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to export Team Site Site Pages to .aspx and for subsequent uploaded to other Team Site and Web Part Customisation included using Powershell.
You can export a specific file or object from the Export-SPWeb context.
Export-SPWeb -identity "http://sharepoint" -ItemUrl "/default.aspx" -Path "c:\default.aspx"
Import-SPWeb -identity "http://sharepoint" -Path "C:\default.aspx"
