Site change causes error 404

Hello, I hope someone can set me straight regarding my site made with iweb; some history and the problem.
I've been using iweb v1.1 since last November and have been updating pages once I had my site finished. I haven't done anything major up until now. In doing my changes, I condensed and what used to be my welcome page was deleted out, leaving the secondary page to be my 'main/welcome' page now. When I went to check out the changes, I saw only the same site as I used to have. NO changes implemented. So, I went to Fetch, took out all the items NOT in my 'published to' folder on my hard drive, and re-uploaded the iweb site with its changes. I got an error 404 page. So, I spent some time talking to the host people and the result was that HE could access the site and even told me what the changes I'd made were. So, my comp had the issue, yes? I called my girlfriend, she too could manually type in the site and pull up the new pages. So, I reset browsers, cleared caches, cleared cookies, restarted the iMac, reset the modem (DSL), reset the router, and still had the same issue. BUT; my girl friend told me she'd typed the site in and didn't use a bookmark (as I think I'd been doing, though I could swear at least once I had to type it in while talking to the host tech). So, I typed the name of my site in and it came up fine. When I tried to reaccess through the bookmark, and same error 404. So, I retyped, re-connected, and then re-bookmarked. Everything seems good now. No problem, yes? Then later, I get an email from someone I know who wanted to visit the site and got the 404 error too. Hmm, I'm wondering; will others have the same issue? That is, will everyone who ever had bookmarked my site be getting the 404 error? That's one issue.
The real question stems from the original statement; I changed the site using iweb and took away the opening Welcome page. Is this what is causing the issue? The site USED to come up (if I typed the site; swordofshakespeare.com) as 'swordofshakespeare.com/swordofshakespeare.html'
Now, I notice that first page is coming up as 'http://swordofshakespeare.com/Sword%20Of%20Shakespeare.html'
Does this mean I'm using a sub-page as the main page and causing the error? The tech tried to help but when he did a lookup (whois + location, etc), everything was pointing correctly. The numbers came to be 74.58.105.98 I checked myself and I can verify that. Now, when I put in those numbers earlier, with the tech, I was taken to some sort of Epson page, a search page of some sort, which would change it's color/format slightly but still be pointed toward Epson. The tech told me he thought it was some sort of malware/spyware on my comp redirecting me. When I called my girl friend earlier (as I mentioned) and had her input the numer, she too got the Epson search page. So, NOT just my comp, that's the way I figured it.
In all this, I'm just trying to figure out how to understand iweb better. When I uploaded the changes, I assumed the 'site' would see the new index and ignore such as old Welcome pages and their associative folders et al. When the site didn't seem to do this, that's when I went and manually deleted using Fetch. That's when the 404 started.
Okay, sorry for the long windedness, but wanted you to have the history so maybe I could understand what to do. Would it be easier to start over with iweb, make a new 'site' and publish? Doing this, would I have to totally delete all the old site pages/files/folder? Or, should I just leave as is? It certainly works but I think others are now going to get their own 404 pages and I'll probably loose some traffic.

Of course if you change the name of your topmost page, your site is going to come up with the changed name. All bookmarks that used the earlier page name would be broken. If you want to have it back the way it was, just change the name back inside iWeb (i.e to swordofshakespeare instead of Sword Of Shakespeare), republish, and reupload.
Will that solve your problem?

Publish Site Changes causes website to fail

I have just redesigned my entire website using iWeb 09. It's a photo website, so publishing the entire website each time is just not feasible for bandwidth considerations, and why should I anyway?
The problem is that whenever I use the Publish Site Changes option, it causes my website to no longer load. It just sits at a blank page and appears to be cycling over and over and over, but never actually loading anything.
I don't want to have to located yet another piece of FTP software to do what iWeb is supposed to do out of the box.
The only way to fix this issue that I can fix is to go back and publish the entire website. it's eating up my bandwidth on GoDaddy.
The site I use with them is a LINUX hosted site, not Windows.
I can't find any help in the forums, so if anyone has the fix, I'd love to hear it.

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For opening your domain file in Lion for the first time or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
Just launch the applicaiton, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

Or you can download an already compiiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain. Run it to open your site and see if you can publish. If that doesn't help try the following:
delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and try again.

Host preference change caused error

I made a host preference change on my solaris 9 channel servers. Out of 24 servers 5 did not restart the agent properly and reconnect to the SDS server. This is what I am seeing in the uce_agent.log on the client:

It looks like the client has a connection to the SDS server on port 8200 that is in CLOSE_WAIT state in netstat.

Adobe support sent me to a Photoshop suite CS3 site but when I clicked the download for mac option I was redirected to a site with an error 404.

Sample Rulebase in OPA 10.4.2 - Error 404 -- Not Found

I just installed OPA 10.4.2 but was not able to load the sample rulebases included in the package. I simply copied all compiled rulebases (*.zip) from C:\V35235-01\examples\rulebases\compiled to C:\OPA\web-determinations\web-determinations\WEB-INF\classes\rulebases then re-packed web-determinations folder to create web-determinations.war then re-deployed to Weblogic. When I tested the web-determinations site, I got 'Error 404--Not Found'. Below are the sites I tried.
Directly from Weblogic Console Deployment Testing tab - http://localhost:7001/web-determinations
From new IE browser - http://localhost:7001/web-determinations/startsession/BenefitCodeExample/en-us
However, I was able to open the BenefitCodeExample page when I accessed it from OPM. I opened the project then click 'Build and Run' via Web-Determinations.
Can you please assist me with this problem? I'm not sure if I'm doing the right way to deploy rulebases. If not, please let me know the correct way. Thanks!

A very common problem with creating a war file is to zip it with the containing directory included.
The correct structure for a Web Determinations war file has no top level directory and the first set of directories in the war file are: ./data, ./WEB-INF ./META-INF
Its very easy to re-zip Web Determinations so that the top level directory is included, resulting in a structure like: ./web-determinations/data, ./web-determinations/WEB-INF ./web-determinations/META-INF
This is incorrect and will result in the web application not being available (404 errors).

Changes in RPCBURZ0 causes errors in other programs

Hello to All,
I made changes to RPCBURZ0 in order to extend the TABLE schema function to read a custom Infotype 9001.
I added the necessary code in RPCBURZ0 and the data definition in RPCFDCZ0.
The code is working perfectly , but the changes are causing errors in other country specific reports
specifically in : HINCALC0 , HCNCALC0 , and HKRCALC0 and Transports to Quality generating errors.
Error is because the custom infotype definition is not seen in these reports.

Looking at other H--CALC0 reports i could easily spot an include for RPCFDCZ0.

I have two solutions in mind :
1. Make a custom ZRPCBURZ0 and include it in the main report.

What is the best way to fix this situation ? and is there any other possible solutions ?

I'm still stumpled on the other one:

As stated above, I've even removed everything from the general rule of <prodinfo> except prodname and I'm still getting the same error. I've searched everywhere for this general rule and <prodinfo> is the only place I can find it.
What I really want is: (prodname), (vrmlist)?, (brand | component | featnum | platform | prognum | series)*
so that vrmlist is optional.
No matter what I do, unless I include a vrmlist, I get the above message. Currently, our CMS can't handle vrmlist but I don't want to remove it altogether because we may be replacing our CMS.

Time Capsule can you change the signal frequencies because it is causeing errors in other things that we have wireless cameras?

Well here is the issue, as I said, my husband is deployed and he is the one that will be trying to access it. I have the mac book here with me. He has an iphone,ipad, and a windows based laptop with him... Is there a way for him to access it with these devices, to include the windows laptop?
If all of this works can I load pics and movies on it and him be able to access them and then watch the movies?

Publishing Error, and I have tried the Publish Site Changes option

I tried to update my website for the first time since upgrading and couldn't. I have tried the "Publish Site Changes" option as well as publishing the entire site, but am getting this error message:
An error occurred while publishing file “/private/var/folders/7R/7Ry8Tbdf2RW72E8ZQJxeU++TI/TemporaryItems/com.apple.iWeb636_TEMP_255615036_7/sites/Site/Musashino_Monday_4/Musashino_Monday_4files/Simps CloseUp.png”. Try publishing again later.

Error 7 is "No Data for 10 Secs" and is related to bandwidth issues.
It generally means the bandwidth dropped as you made the call.
This can be due to a number of factors.
As it is Comcast I would reboot your modem first as some peopel report thsi gets them their dful speed back.
After that talk to Comcast. They will not admit anything but things do seem to change.

SMTP Server changes on Mac now causing error "remapping record identifiers"

I had some problems all of a sudden with outgoing smtp server settings as I traveled from place to place. I finally got all that resolved through trial and error. Now when I sync my iPhone, it tells me "iTunes could not sync mail accounts to the iPhone "my name" because an error occurred remapping record identifiers. iPhone mail is working fine. Did the smtp server setting changes cause this? How do I fix it? Would appreciate your comments and suggestions.

Did you make these changes on your iPhone, or with the Mail.app on your MBP?
FYI - the sync process for email account setup information in a transfer process in one direction only - from your computer to your iPhone. Any changes made to account settings on your iPhone will not be transferred to your Mac. Email account settings are not synced.
If you made the changes to the account settings on your iPhone only, the changed settings will be overwritten with the account settings on your Mac when syncing. Transferring email account settings via the sync process only needs to be done once - unless you make changes to the account settings on your computer that you want transferred to your iPhone - without having to manually change the account settings on your iPhone.

Error message when I try to upload site changes...

I'm using iWeb '09 3.0.3 (9833). When I click "Publish site changes", I get an error message stating: "Couldn't reach the MobileMe configuration server. Try publishing your site again later." This is the first time I've ever gotten this message. I checked the MobileMe status page and it says that all MobileMe services are up and running. My site is published on MobileMe, with a custom personal domain that I purchased from GoDaddy.com. My domain still works and my site is up and working fine, but I can't get iWeb to upload any changes. What is going on with iWeb? Any help will be much appreciated, as I have some site changes I want to upload immediately. Thanks.

OK, I've just checked my MobileMe System Preference Pane and there seems to be a problem logging into MobilMe from there. This must be what's going wrong with iWeb. Is this a problem with my iMac or the MobileMe servers?
I'm able to log in without problem on my MacBook but not on my iMac for some reason. On my iMac, when I try to log in using the MobileMe Preference Pane it states that my username and password may be invalid, but my account is working everywhere else (i.e., email, MoblieMe web services, etc...)

The intranet site was working before but for an unknown reason is showing error 404 not found when trying to access the intranet site.
The Central Administration is working.
Everything is installed on one server.

What error did you meet when you ran configuration wizards?
If you want to reinstall SharePoint with keeping the data, you can backup the SharePoint database in SQL Server Management Studio.
Or, as your Central Administration is working well, you can backup the farm via UI. After you reinstall the SharePoint, restore the backup farm into it.

Error 404 causes Labview 2010 to crash but only occasionally

Hello,
I am requesting help to solve a problem with LabVIEW 2010 crashing. I am new to this company and the last Labview developer left without providing
background on this problem. Labview crashes after running project VIs. Labview closes without warning or error messages. The project acquires data from pressure transducers, dP transducers, thermocouples, IEPE, load cells, and voltages through NI real-time system and has digital I/O. NI hardware includes PXI-1050 with modules 6221, 6280, 6224, 6220 and NI PXI-1052, SCXI-1306, SCXI-1112, SCXI-1520, and SCXI-1102. I've reviewed the labview program and the software relies heavily on shared variables, references, and local variables but I cannot find anything that stands out as a problem in the software .
The program crashed again today after running for only 1/2 hour and was not recording data. No error message occurred before the crash and the only error after restarting LabVIEW was the standard message that LabVIEW did not close properly. I went to the Event Viewer and at the time of the crash I received the following information:

According to Event Viewer, this error 3299 occurred 15 times in the last 3 days. LabVIEW crashed today at 10:19 am at the same time this error 3299 occurred but LabVIEW did not crash the other times this error occurred in the last 3 days. I believe this error is related to the crash but does not usually cause the crash. It appears to me from reading the error message that the error is the result of occasional lose of communication with the real-time system (Can't find URL). Any suggestions how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

1. Have you had this code working before on this or another machine?
2. Which operating system and version of LabVIEW are you running? (This can be found in Control Panel >> All Control Panel Items >> System)
3. Which National Instruments Drivers are you using? (This can be found in the measurement an automation explorer under the software tab [a screenshot would be good])
I would look into removing afsetup.exe which is a data collection tool provided by Microsoft which could a) not be installed correctly and/or b) trying to pull data from LabVIEW. I think this may help you out, as even though your programs aren't explicitly calling it, the service is running in the background.
Secondly, I would look into stopping the NI Web Server application that could be polling a web page that's not needed.
