Site downloads directed to different folders?

Is there a way (plugin, app, script?) to set up Safari, or another browser to always download files from particular sites to specific destination folders rather than the single Downloads folder?
Eg Images from say flickr.com are always downloaded to 'Flickr Downloads' folder. Files from WeTransfer go in to 'Work Downloads' etc etc.
I think I remember some plugin or app doing this, but I can't find it now.

I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

You cannot direct a single Copy Import operation from your card into multiple folders, but you can either import multiple times, selecting different photos each time from the Import grid, and specifying a different destination, or you can import everything into one folder, then use drag-and-drop in LR with different selections of photos into various folders you create within LR’s Library module folder panel. As long as you do the folder creating and photo moving within LR then LR will know where the photos have been moved to.
What I do is move the photos into multiple folders on the card, itself, outside of LR, using Explorer’s thumbnail previews to guide me, then drag-and-drop those folders to their final destination on my hard drive still outside of LR, then do an Add Import, by dragging and dropping those folders onto LR Library’s central area, so that’s another way.

How to direct the Work Items in SBWP to different folders

Hello All ,
Is there a possibility of having a rule on the SBWP , so that the work items coming in to the inbox can be placed in different folders based on some grouping .
I see 4 kinds of grouping :
Grouped according to task
Grouped according to content
Grouped according to content type
Grouped according to sort key
Is there any help on how to use this . Any example given ?
Do we have any other groupings on the workflow inbox other then the above ?

For example: a box from Norton Antivirus will pop up to ask me if I want to download firefox from ______ . The line will be filled with a different site everytime (this is one site: saimei.acc.umu.se). Can I trust this?

Quick answer: Select all the tracks on the album, File > get info, and either give them all a single "album artist", or check the "compilation" flag (as in https://discussions.apple.com/message/17670085).
If these are from multiple-CD sets you may also need to enter the appropriate information in the disc number fields.

It seems the "movie files" and the "extra files" are in different folders. I try putting them in the same folder but still this doesn't fix anything. Please help. The "extra files" are in a different folder and I have to open up each "extra feature" manually in order to view them. This is very inconvenient. This is not what I wanted to pay for. Please help. This seems to happen everything I buy a movie. The same thing is happening to the "batman" movie I bought last month. This never happened when Steve Jobs was on the job. Apple seem to be falling apart. I have been in touch with "customer support" for over 2 months now and still they have no clue on how to help me. This is the reason I am asking for help here today. How to create a Contact Sheet with Adobe Photoshop CS5 from a disc with images in different folders

I got a disc with images files (mainly ai and psd files) in different folders and subfolders, how can I create a contact sheet including all the image files in different folders. (It seems that Adobe Bridge can only create a contact sheet by clicking the image files directly but not a folder including the images files)

Use the optional Contact Sheet II plugin which is found in Adobe's Downloads:
1) search for contact sheet in PS CS5 help
2) choose the first result and read carefully about the Photoshop Optional Plug-In Picture Packager
3) follow the instructions to download the zip file and note the location that you download it to.
4) follow the instructions to install the files.
I'm not sure how PS CS5 will handle ai vector image files or if you have to batch convert them to raster images first before using Contact Sheet II. Contact Sheet II allows you to choose a folder and Include All SubFolders as an option so you could create a Contact Sheet folder and copy all of your desired folders into that folder which will become subfolders of the main folder you choose for your contact sheet.

Batch combine/merge different folders into 1 image?

I have a large set of images I need to batch process from 2 different folders, I want to combine 2 of the images into 1 psd, add a curve between the 2 layers, then save.
These images will ultimatly be imported into Premier for a video so the sequence is large. I have to do it this way because all of the models used are not compatible with the same set of lights.
Adding the custom curve action with Batch is easy, but photoshop does not seem to grasp the locations, sequences and outputs of the files. Is there a way to do this?
Open Folder1/BottomLayer001.png,
add saved custom curve,
Open Folder2/topImage001.png,
save to Folder3/Batch001.psd.
I'm thinking Imay have to use a script to do so, but I have no clue howabout doing that. I am in no way a coder.

Only you know the logical order of you assets, how you want to combine pairs and the output files you want. There is no magic built into Photoshop. You right that Photoshop can be scripted and a script could most likely be written to do what you want to do. However you do not know Photoshop Scripting and likely you not a programmer. Which will require the least amount of time. You doing it all manually. Or you teaching yourself a support Photoshop scripting language that works on your platform. If you use windows and Mac platforms that would requite the language to be Javascript for a common solution. After you learn Javascript you need to learn Adobe Photoshop DOM for scripting Photoshop its limits and learn to use Adobe Photoshop Plug-in scriptlistener to get around the limits of Adobe Photoshop DOM. Design a Batch Process then Program and debug the process. Then run the batch process with your assets..
An other approach is to search the Web for a Photoshop script designed to do something similar to what you want. Download that script. If that script was not saved in binary you may be able to hack it to do what you want.
If you need the output by some date that is not far off. I would suggest that you start doing it manually or hire a Photoshop Script programmer you will help them learn what you want done so they can design and code a Photoshop Script the will meat your needs.
There is a Photoshop Scripting forum here and process similar to your have been discussed in threads. There may be some script there that may be helpful and users over there that can help you. I hack at Photoshop Scripting for I do have a very old programming background. I do participate in that forum however I'm not a Photoshop scripting expert I just get by.

Thanks, this is not an ideal answer but probably the most sensible one in my case.
I will try it unless someone has a better suggestion, but I'll wait a bit as it will take me a few days anyway (I had actually tried to create a new smaller playlist or download by album, but at this stage the music app is not letting me queue a list of songs for download - I think I will have to disable and re-enable iTunes match which will probably delete all the songs).
I have to say I am not very impressed with Apple here - having an online backup of all your data and beeing able to restore it to a new device easily was a strong selling point of iCloud. For music, they are Definitly not delivering at the stage.

Download directly to itunes library

Is it possible to download directly from an outside source onto my pc and directly to library or do I have to first put in a folder and then drag to the library?

I access a musicians collective website here in the UK, hosting newly written songs by unpublished artists. I need to download a rough version of the songs in order to learn them.
I can specify where to save my downloads, and I do so by choosing my iTunes music folder. Once downloaded, the songs appear in my iTunes library without the need to drag and drop them there, or use the file/add to library option.
I also know that other sites (irrespective of the fact that they are often used for illegal downloads) have options to place the downloads into the iTunes library.
I know because a band mate insists on using some of these sites (Limewire is one such site for instance) to obtain songs regardless of constant abuse from me!
She uses iTunes (on a Mac), and I've been with her when she's used that site to download songs and they go straight into the library. I believe that Limewire even creates it's own folder in the source listing in iTunes.

What seems to be the problem? Songs are not syncing from your iTunes library on your PC to your Nano? Is this the same computer you have always synced the Nano with or is this a different/new iTunes library?

Syncing Photos from different folders...?

I know it never worked in the beginning-but has someone found a way to sync photos not from only one folder but from different folders to the ipod?

You can sync from different folders if they are all sub-folders beneath a main one. If the main folder you are syncing from has sub folders they will show in the box below "Sync photos from folder". For example you may choose to sync from My Pictures and inside My Pictures you have folders for different subjects. You can choose which of those subject folders you want to update to the iPod or you might want to make a folder in there especially for iPod photos. You can drag these folders into an order of your choice.
Here's a simple "How To" on downloading photos from a folder and sub folders on your hard disk to an iPod:
1 Create a folder on your hard drive to hold the photos you want on your iPod. Call it iPod Photos for example
2 Inside this folder create as many other folders as you want (or drag and drop existing ones from other locations on your hard drive)
3 Drag the photos you want from your usual picture folder into the appropriate folders you just created. (not necessary if you are using pre-existing folders already containing photos)
4 Open iTunes, select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
5 Click the Photos tab and select “Synch photos from.”
6 Choose “Choose Folder” from the pop-up menu and select the iPod photos folder you created.
7 Choose the radio button "Selected folders"
8 Tick the folders you want to go on the iPod and click Apply
When you go to Photos on your iPod you'll see each of the folders you have chosen in the menu and you can choose whichever one you want to view.

Presets in different folders MUST have unique name? WHY?

You cannot have the same name on a preset, even though they reside in separate folders. At the filesystem level they are in different directories.
OS file systems allow you to have the same file name as long as it is NOT in the same folder.
To get around this, you must make each preset name different by one char, even though they are in different folders both in LR and on the OS FS.
Why is this important to me?
When shooting youth baseball, I would like to have five different folders of presets that represent a certain time of the day, as great preset for noon does not work for a picture take at 5pm in the evening..
So 5 folders, 9a-12p, 12p-3p, 3p-5p, so on..
Each folder would have 10-15 presets for quick develop settings based on where on the field I am shooting.
Open up a game shot in the morning, open the preset folder of 9a-12p, the presets are the same name, but adjusted for the time of the day..

You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

Google will find several way to do this.
You cannot buy ready made ringtones from your computer.
