Sites gone from DW

Hi,
I was working in DW 8 when for whatever reason it decided to
wig out and the spinning beach ball started. After awhile I decided
to Force Quite DW. Upon restart, I was horrified to find that all
of my sites were no longer in DW (about 25 of them).
They are all still listed in the ~/Library/Application
Support/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/Confiiguration/SiteCache folder.
In the same folder I found a file named MacFileCache-C8CAF668.dat
dated the time of my crash and it's about 1.5MB in size.
is there anyway for me to get my sites back into DW?
This is on a Mac running Tiger 10.4.5

They are in the registry somewhere, but retrieving them so
about impossible
I think.
I suppose you haven't saved your site definitions somewhere
along the way -
otherwise you wouldn't be here asking for help ;-)
There used to be a DW extension which was a godsend that
allowed you to
export ALL site definitions at once. However, it has not been
updated for
DW8 as yet. The only suggestion I can give at this stage is
that you need
to re-create your site definitions and then back them all up
before going
any further.

Sites gone from site list in DW8

Hey All-
So, I did some searching on the issue, there seem to be a lot of people with similar issues throughout the years, but as far as I can tell, no real solutions provided.
The issue I am having is that everytime I Launch Dreamweaver 8, all of my sites my Managed Sites list are gone. I am currently running this on Mac OS X using a Trial (trying to see if its worth upgrading from an older versions).
So, I have a couple of questions on this issue:
1. Might the issue be related to the fact that I'm using the Trial version (I couldn't find any mention of this in the Trial info)?
2. Has anyone found a solution to this issue (I don't consider the Export / Import option a "proper" solution)?
3. Is Adobe even aware of this issue?
I have used many versions of Dreamweaver throughout the years and I have never encountered an issue like this, and it concerns me a little as to what other issues I may encounter with this tool.
Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated.

If you still have Dreamweaver 7 (MX 2004) installed, then Dreamweaver 8 should migrate the Site definitions forward. It doesn't matter if it's a trial or not.
If that's not working, I suggest shutting down DW8, deleting the General Preferences and User Configuration folder. This re-trigger the Site migration code the next time you start DW8.
If that doesn't work, then the Export / Import option is the best solution. And it's always a good idea to have backup copies of your Site defintions.

HP X360 drivers gone from support site

I bought a 11-n038ca 2 weeks ago. When I first got it, I looked for updated drivers and found new drivers for a few things (including audio) and BIOS update on the HP support site. However, when I checked yesterday, all the drivers are gone from the page. Anyone else have the same issue?
I need the drivers because I just did a system restore and there's an audio crackle issue that can be resolved with new drivers. The hard drive arm also makes a clicking sound every few seconds in idle mode which seemingly can be fixed by new Hitachi drivers. So, if the drivers are gone for good, I'll return this PC.

HP is aware of the drivers missing from the support pages issue and is working on resolving it.
It is affecting hundreds of notebook models.
Since I don't work for HP, I do not know when the sites will be operational again.
This has happened once before, so hopefully they learned from past experience how to troubleshoot the problem.
With the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, that has delayed things, I'm sure.
We are on the fifth day of this problem.

My site is gone from iweb?

hi friends. i have a site published at .mac , for some reason my site isnt showing up anymore when i open iweb, anybody know how i can get this site back to iweb so i can edit it....thanks

This is my suggestion.
1. Take your domain.sites file, from User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/ and move it to your desktop.
2. Go to User/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist <-- Move this file to Trash
3. Empty your Trash
4. Reboot your Mac
5. Open iWeb
6. Start a new site, add a Welcome page, do nothing to it, quit iWeb, saving the new one page site. What this does is create your domain.sites file and tells iWeb where to look.
7. Now, with iWeb closed down, delete the new domain.sites file, and copy in your old one, from your desktop.
8. Re-open iWeb, hopefully you are now looking at your old site. If not post back, we have one more trick, but I need to find it!!

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

Why are my images suddenly gone from lightroom?

A few days ago I imported 101 images from an SD card to my Lightroom catalog. The images are still in the two locations they imported to on my hard drive and backup drive. But the folder is suddenly not in my catalog. I had sorted and worked on all of these and really don't want to start over. Any ideas where they may have gone?

Im not really sure what info is necessary...I uploaded to my existing catalog. I store my catalog in my dropbox folder for syncing with my iMac. I am on the road so there is no syncing going on with crappy hotel room wifi, but imported into my existing catalog, choosing my desktop for the destination. And a backup to an external. Today I imported todays pics, and noticed the folder from a few days ago was gone. It still sits on my desktop, and external, but all record of it is gone from lightroom. Searched by file name, etc... I had done edits to the pics and now they are all gone. I have 20,000 photos in lightroom, and have never had this happen.

With Muti-clip gone from FCP X, is there a new way to sync two cameras with FCP X

I film with two cameras then copy the files from each camera into their own folders. I then use ClipWrap to convert the MTS files into AIC. If the recording was one long contiguous session, many cameras will split the MTS files into 2GB chunks. ClipWrap will Convert Multiple to Span to reassemble them properly. With the AIC .MOV file from ClipWrap, I then use FCP X to Import the MOV files from camera 1 and camera 2. I prefer to do it that way versus using FCP X Import from Camera. I then move the clip from camera 1 onto the timeline in the "primary storyline" (FCP X terminology). I drag the camera 2 clip above the camera 1 clip and line up the audio from the two cameras while that audio is still attached to the video so everything stays in sync. FCP X has a way to automatically sync two soundtracks, but I have not gotten around to that yet. With camera 2's clip attached to camera 1's clip as a "connected clip" above the camera 1 video, I then do an edit to go between the cameras as seems best to me. When the connected clip of camera 2 video sits above the camera 1 video, it will take priority over the camera 1 video. I then split camera 1's video clip taking out sections when I want to go back to the camera 1 view. Of course I can trim camera 2's clips until I get it the way I want it. Since FCP X uses the magnetic timeline concept, and camera 2's clip is "connected" to the camera 1 clip, as you split and trim camera 2's clip, everything will stay in sync across the two camera "tracks". When there is no camera 2 video above the camera 1 video, camera 1 video will be seen. When camera 2 video is above camera 1 video, camera 2 video will be seen instead. With a single editing pass, I can then do all the editing I need to go back and forth between two cameras. The same concept is expandable to other camera "tracks" as long as you are using vertical position in the timeline to determine which camera is seen when. If you would like for it to look like a multi-camera track composit like before FCP X, you can simply select all your clips and make a compound clip out of it. You will then see the multiple camera clips side by side in a single "track". Double click on that "clip" in that "track" to go into the structure and editing individual "tracks" around if needed. Think of a compound track as what a sequence used to do. Anyway, there may be other, and easier ways to do this, but with a single edit through my recording, I can easily and visually cycle back and forth between camera views. It's just that things are called differently now ... and, as of this time, we do not have a single button camera switching function to let us view multiple cameras simultaneously and switch between them using a keystroke for each camera. Still, I have a way to do it, and it has worked very well for me, in fact I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I could do multi-camera in post. Hope this at least gives you one option. Others may have a better way. Best wishes.

There is no Autoloader to remove from your device...Autoloaders are apps on the PC that load, to the device, a specific OS package. But the Autoloader itself is not resident on the device at all. So, your remedy would most likely to be to use a different AutoLoader for a different OS level and see if that does not display this same problem for you.
You did not reveal the specific OS level you are discussing...please note that if it is anything beyond the presently officially released levels (e.g., a "leak"), then it is not supported and is also against the Ts and Cs of this site to be discussed here.

Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar in ff4? It isn't included in the Customize box. Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option compeletly gone from Firefox now?

Just installed upgrade to Firefox 4.0. Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar. I checked the Customize dialogue box and it isn't included. Is anyone else missing it? It was a very helpful button and allowed us users to stop a web page and move on if it wasn't what we needed.

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.

How do I permanently STOP the Bing Suggested Sites icon from being in the IE 9 toolbar for everyone and make it the default for all new users

Non of the other post on this subject were correctly answered and they are now old so here is a new thread for a question that a Microsoft Engineer should have answered a long time ago in one of the other threads.
I have IE 9 installed.
I am setting up my default profile which will be used for ALL users to configure their profile when they log on. All profiles are destroyed on system reboot. All PCs are frozen.
Every time I log in as a new user and open IE 9, the favorites bar shows up as I want it with NO BING Suggested Site crapware in site. Then about .5 secs after IE starts and the Favorites bar is shown, the EVIL "Bing Suggested Sites" button appears.
I can delete it and it seems to stay away until I delete the users profile folder etc and have them log in again. When the profile is recreated the Favorites folder does not have a "Suggested Sites" option in the c:\users\username\favorites\links"
folder. (I have deleted the hidden .ini files in the default folder) Nor does one exist in the "c:\users\default\favorites\links" folder from which the newly created user profile folder comes. But as soon as I start IE 9, one is created and placed
in the users favorites links folder. This MUST STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is UNACCEPTABLE. AND IT MUST BE STOPPED!!!!! Where in the Windows 7 x64 Enterprise OS is the location of this evil action and how do I PERMANENTLY delete it.
I don't EVER want to see the EVIL BING Suggested Sites button anywhere on the PC especially in the Favorites Tool bar on IE 9. An I expect/demand that Microsoft tell us how to 100% cannot fail get rid of it for ALL USERS FOREVER NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! I
have spent a lot of time perfecting my default profile making sur that ALL options are decide by me NOT MICROSOFT. I NEVER USE SYSPREP as that will destroy ALL custom defaults every time.
When a user logs in in to one of my PCs and they start IE 9 they get REAL Google for the default search engine, not the version Microsoft will give you which first sends all search requests to Microsoft so they can spy on what you searched in Google for etc.,
but real Google, not sent to Microsoft 1st. (I'll bet more than 90% of the readers of this site did not notice how if you let Microsoft set your default search provider to Google, they fix it so that all search requests go to Microsoft 1st, before it gets

With my default profile IE does not ask how you want to set it up, I have already made those decisions. I have made all those decisions for my users. But as of recently I have started installing IE 9 and now this unacceptable BING Suggested Sites junk ware
keeps showing up. HOW DO I STOP IT. Do I have to put a line in my HOSTS file to send all request for Bing.com to 127.0.0.1 just to make sure that it can't be used. There by removing all possibility of my users ever being able to use Bing FOREVER.
I would rather not do that but unless a Microsoft representative will tell me how to keep that useless Bing Suggested Sites button from appearing on the Favorites tool bar I will have to. I would love to let my user decide if they want to use Bing and waist
their time trying to find good search results, but I will not have it forced on them and I will not allow it to be on the Favorites tool Bar ever. So will a Microsoft Engineer please tell us how to put a permanent end to the "Bing Suggested Sites"
button for ALL users ALWAYS FOREVER.

How can I get rid of these texts for good and have more space on my phone? 6.33 gb of other space is way too much, thats almost half of my overall available space (13.5 gb.) I don't want to reset my phone and lose all my other texts/ app progress/ photos. I do have backups, but when I restore from the backup the other space comes back along with everything else. What can I do to get rid of this other space and the 'deleted' text messages? (I'm running iOS 6.1.3 if that helps)

But once again, I do not want to lose my other texts, app progress, and photos. I could sync the photos but i would still lose the app progress and texts. I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync.

Sharepoint 2013 Workflow not available on Site created from Sharepoint 2013 Foundation Solution Template

If I create a template on SharePoint 2013 Foundation, then create a site on SharePoint Enterprise (or Office/365) fully configured to support SharePoint 2013 workflows. When I access the site through SharePoint Designer 2013, and attempt to create a workflow
SharePoint 2013 Workflows are not available -- you get message that SharePoint 2013 Workflow platform is not available because it is not configured on the server. This appears to be a bug in SharePoint Designer as the 2013 Workflows are available on the team
site on the same site collection. There is no reason that a site created from a SharePoint 2013 foundation template should have this restriction.   To make matters worse if you then save that site as a template on the SharePoint 2013 Enterprise (or
Office/365) system and create a new site from the that template you get the same issue.
Anyone know a workaround/fix to this issue.   Have imported the template into Visual Studio but I can not find any way in Visual Studio to enable SharePoint 2013 workflows.   A solution that involves Visual Studio import would work fine
for me.

Apparently you did not read my question very carefully.   The workflow manager is configured properly on this server and for the basic Team site in this site collection the full SharePoint 2013 workflows are available in SharePoint Designer 2013.
BUT they are not available on another site in the SAME SITE COLLECTION that was created from a solution template that was created on a SharePoint Foundation server.
