Size of form

It's not the size. I started a new form and after creating 6 drop down boxes I was booted out of Adobe Livecycle ES2. Has this happened to anyone else????

I am creating a complex 36 page questionnaire with lots of dependency's and buttons. Each field has a large amount in the TIPS fields.
I am about half way through the form and I now can not add a field to the form - I keep getting booted out of Livecyle ES2. Are there size constraints? My file is 1273KB.
This was happening a month ago and our desktop people replaced my PC and it worked great until now. Any help is appreciated.

If you have a LiveCycle Server software installed, then by rendering the PDF will reduce the size drastically. But other wise, you need to consider the amount of fields you are using on the form and the fonts used in the form..
If you use MyriadPro, it will take less space.
Also under File -> Form Properties, under Save Options tab, remove the Embed Fonts checkbox, this may reduce size of the form.

hey.
forms should be smaller in size to open quickly at web. which thing in form increases the size more as compared to anyother thing. i discovered that if you comment out your uncessary code in your proceadures and triggers it reduces the size of the form.I surprised why it reduces the size of the form while i didnot remove this comment out code from the form.

but my concern is the time consumed to open the form in browser after putting STATIC IP in address bar.The time it takes the browser to start the initial form in Web Forms always takes a long time. I bet if you run a test with the simplest and smallest form possible, you would find the initial startup is still almost the same as your production forms.
In fact, why don't you make a simple form that you start from the browser, and on it, put a pushbutton that starts your actual production form using a New_Form command. It will take a very long time to start up the simple form. But once you click the pushbutton, your production form will start almost instantly.
There is a lot of process initialization going on between the browser and the java processing required to run the form. I believe it is the java stuff that takes a long time, because any time I run any other (non-Forms) process on my platform that uses java, it also seems to take forever to get started.
I am starting to think the java world is a lot of hype and creates far more problems than it solves.

Changing text size in form field (rich text formatting enabled)

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I've created an interactive PDF with form fields with "Rich Text Formatting" enabled.
My client has filled in the fields and would like to make the text bigger. When right-click, there are only options to change the text style (bold, italics etc) but nothing to change the text size. I'm not keen on disabling and then re-enabling the "Rich Text Formatting" options as the text have been formatted (bold, italics, superscript, subscript etc) and approved, and this will remove all the existing formatting.
Can anyone help?

Strangely enough, I found the Form Field Text Properties dialogue box by randomly choosing "Hyperlink" in the right-click options. Who would have thought!

Change font size in Forms Builder?

I wonder if it's possible to make the Forms Builder font size larger, say size 14? The purpose is to make a Forms presentation easier to follow with a big audience.

About all you can do is set the screen settings down, which results in everything on your screen being larger. Try 800 x 600.

Your Form to email processing script sends data to your email address, right? If you're having trouble reading your email,change your display font sizes.
Win XP:
Control Panel -> Appearance and Themes -> Display -> Appearance -> Font Size.
Win Vista:
Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Personalization -> Adjust Font Size.
Win 7:
Control Panel-> All Control panel items-> Display.

Uniformly affect the size of form elements?

I'm creating a fillable form using Acrobat 9 pro and would like to use smaller check boxes. Is there a way to uniformally change the size of the form elements? - thanks

Do you want them all to be the same size, only smaller? If so, resize one of them, use the Object Select tool to select all of the ones you want to be the same sizeand right-click on the resized field and then: Set Fields to Same Size > Both

Mismatched font size in forms

When I set the font size in a form field, instead of allowing the field to use auto-sizing, the form places the auto-sized font over the size font I've selected for the field, making it illegible. How do I turn off this function or correct it? I did not find a solution in Text Field Properties.

Help to adjust font size on FORM

Hi ,
I am using APEX to do a online survey, some respondents said the survey form font size (default) is too small to read it clearly and don't know how to make the size look bigger.
Then I realized they are right, the font size of APEX form is predefined in template. I am wondering how to make the font size adjustable like normal htm page. if it is not possible, then how could I put font-size in somewhere to make it bigger?

If you use Firefox with firebug you can exactly see where your fontsize has been set. You can override the standard CSS by either uploading and referencing your own CSS file or just add one inline CSS entry in your template.

Increase main oracle window size in forms 10g

I am creating a form in 10g. The form has a window and a canvas. I have given scroll bar for the canvas which has multiple blocks (so that a user can scroll within the multiple records) and a scroll bar for the window so that the user can scroll at the bottom of the page.
The main oracle window which displays the messages and errors (not my forms window) is not the full size, its a little small (there is white blank space at the bottom) and I want to increase its size to full so that the users may not necessarily need to use the window scroll bar.
Can someone please tell me how to increase its size?

I think that others user could have problems, above all, with 'SEPARATEFRAME=TRUE'.

Max phisical size in forms 10g?

i need to know what is the max fisical size in a form 10g? 1Kb, 1Mb ?

There are whole lot of theoretical limits that are too numerous to list here and too theoretical to really matter but the upshot is that you can have pretty big fmx file sizes if you really want to. Using several smaller forms is probably a better overall strategy since memory can be managed better.

Why oh why can I not get the form to scroll to show everything. It doesnt matter what size (height) I set the form/canvass/window in the property pallette, it still cuts off the buttons and fields etc at the bottom of the form. I even have a vertical scrollbar but this doesnt help. What am I doing wrong.

If you are web deploted it may be because your applet area height is not tall enough (see your HTML file or the formsweb.cfg file)
If you are client server then the problem may be that the viewport on your canvas is not big enough.

Activating Full window size Adobe forms

Hi, We are implementing ESS/MSS. Most of the Adobe Interactive Forms are opening in Small windows. But We need them to be pop-up in full size so something similar. I could not find any direct settings related to it. Anyone has an idea of how to do it?

Note 1143512 is what causes the small window. The way to get back the full window to view your Adobe Forms is to Load the Web Dynpro ABAP component HRASR00_PROCESS_EXECUTE in the Web Dynpro Explorer of transaction SE80. Then click on "asr_form_display" under Web Dynpro Applications,and change the parameter "DISABLE_ADOBE_RESIZING" from blank to "X". Do the same thing for "asr_process_execute".
This will give you your full window back. The only problem is that this then gives you multiple verticle scroll bars. Pick your poison.

NB205 Screen Size & Internet Forms

This is probably something simple that I just do not know about.
I have a new NB205 running Windows 7 Starter. On the interent (IE) a form will open in a new window that does not have the maximize or minimize icons in the upper right corner, just the close icon.
The form is longer than the physical size of the NB205's screen. I can grab the window and move it around but not above the top of the screen. Below the screen is part of the form that I need to get to.
How do I get to the rest of the form? The scroll wheel on my mouse doesn't work on the form but works on other windows.

When the form has the focus, press Alt + Spacebar to open the Control menu at the top-left of the window.
Press M for Move.
That should enable you to move the window around using the arrow keys.
Almost anything gets you out of that mode.
(If it's a child window, you would use Alt + hyphen to open the Control menu.)

Anybody experience with increasing barcode size on form?

We are printing an SU Label form with a barcode. The SU Label is a WM sapscript form. I've been trying to size up the barcode as large as possible to get our scanner to read it at least 30 feet. In SE73, my print control is currently set to:
\e(s4p100h220v55,165b55,165s24704T
This gets us to around 20 feet before it can no longer be scanned. I'm wondering if anybody has insight into anything that can be done to improve the barcode readability at a larger size?

The size of a barcode is determined by the printer escape sequence,
which is sent to the printer to switch on the barcode.
Please go to transaction:
SE73 -> 'Printer Barcodes' -> Select your 'Device Type'
     -> You get a list of the barcodes, which the device type is able
        to print. On the right side you see the names of two print
        controls: A prefix to switch on the bar code (SBP...) and a
        suffix to switch off the bar code (SBS...)
     -> Highlight the print control name with the cursor and press the
        'Displ. print control' button.
     -> You should now see the printer escape sequence that tells the
        printer to start the barcode.
This sequence selects amongst other things the type and size of the
barcode.
To get another barcode size, it is required to change this sequence.
Please copy the device type to another name before changing:
SPAD -> Utilities -> For device types -> Copy device type.
If you use a Jetcaps barcode SIMM, the attached Note 45643 explains the
sequences. Otherwise your printer manual should be able to help you.
Overall width cannot be changed, have to change width of bars and
spaces.
