Size or number limit for Outlook emails archived to PDF package

I am trying to convert a folder of emails in my Outlook to a indexed PDF package. However, I am getting an error message: "You have chosen to convert a very large number of email messages. Please try again with a folder or selection having fewer messages."
I have tried to research can find no information on any limit to number of email messages archived to a PDF Package.
Is there a limit and if so, what is it?

I am using Acrobat 9 Pro and Outlook 2003 to try and convert a folder to a PDF. I am trying to PDF my archive .pst file which is 2GB in size. I selected the top level folder in my .pst file and got the "You have chosen to convert a very large number of email messages. Please try again with a folder having fewer messages". I have selected sub folders and it converts successfully. For example, it happily converted my Sent Items folder with 8900 email in it.
Is there any way to change the setting to not produce an error but only a warning? I don't care if it takes it 24 hrs to do the conversion....just warn me before you start. The lack of ability to convert a large number of items SEVERELY limits the usefulness of the feature. I want to be able to archive projects when they're complete and a multi year engineering projects will have tens of thousands of items that need to be converted to PDF.

Hi all, I am learning how to convert emails to PDF files and there is some great functionality there!! I have not discovered how to convert multiple outlook emails into multiple PDF files (one PDF file for each email) - all at the same time (not one at a time)!! Is there a way to do this using Acrobat X?? The purpose of this is for long-term business archiving. When I search for an email in the archive, I do not want to pull up a portfolio containing 1000 emails or a 1000 page PDF file with multiple emails run together!!! I want to pull up individual emails containing my search terms. I have been searching for a way to archive emails and MS OUTLOOK .PST files are NOT the answer. I get a lot of business emails with large attachments and I do not file my emails in separate sub-folders (by client or job). I want to convert multiple emails (by date range) from my UNIVERSAL INBOX into multiple PDF files for long term storage (with each email being converted into its own, separate PDF file and named with the same name as the "Re: line" of the email). This has been a HUGE problem for me....and Acrobat is sooooo close to the solution for me. Can anyone help?? If so, will attachments be converted? If not, is there a separate software program or add-in that I can buy that will do this?? I use MS Office 2010, Adobe Acrobat X Pro, Windows 7 64 BIT. Thanks for your help!!

How can you search for outlook email folders quickly?

I am connected to my work outlook email system and within outlook I have circa 500+ folders. From the iPhone you can see all the folders in the email account but the list is (a). expanded {which makes the list huge} and (b). there appears to be no facility to search for a folder.
Normally in other areas of the iphone OS, obviously you pull down (rather than pushing up) and you are shown the search box.
This appears to have been missed in this area of the OS so all you have is your finger to scroll through the list - I am sure that I am not the only one who has found this problem as it is very difficult to use the iphone without a search facility or at least not expanding all the folders.
It takes me 5-10 minutes to find a folder for example...

I have heard rumours that Apple is working on a solution for all the Microsoft Outlook email business users. Does anyone have any more concrete information on this and an estimate to when this could happen?

My daughter set up her Apple ID account herself and used or should I say made up an email with it with outlook she didn't think she'd need it properly to redeem her iTunes voucher,and so to redeem her voucher she Carnt remember her password we've tried everything I've changed her id etc n using another email address but she's lost her £15 voucher as cannot get into her outlook account to retrieve her voucher wot can I do now please help cannot afford to loose it

I do not understand. Outlook is a mail client, not an account.
When she setup the account did she finish the process, that is after send an email did she click on it?
If you are saying she just made up an email address and could not access the "account" then she needs to contact iTunes

Converting outlook email message to pdf

When converting email messages from outlook 2007, the default initial view is "fit width", but I cannot find a setting to change this to "fit page", so I have to reset each conversion and save. I changed the acrobat X preferences to "fit page", but this did not change the intial view from email conversion. I do not have this issue with any other program, but could not find outlook specific setting for this.

Unfortunately this isn't an option that you can change for the PDFMaker within Outlook. Since most email messages are displayed in a 'Fit Width' view by default in Outlook, it's the same for conversions to PDF.
Instead, you may want to consider setting up an Action Wizard to change all of the PDFs in a given location to have the desired setting.
Launch Acrobat X Pro
Choose the 'Tools' pane, and open Action Wizard.
Within the 'Document Processing' set of actions, you can configure the 'Open Options'.
Setup the folder of PDFs you want to process, adjust the configurable options within the 'Open Options' step to default to 'Fit page'
Run your folder through the Action Wizard.

Video Podcast Size/Length Limit for iPhone?

Hi;
I have subscribed to the "Programming Paradigms" video podcast from Stanford University available through iTunes freely [1].
The lesson's download to the Mac fine and play on it, but when i sync them to my 1st generation iPhone (v2.1) only the first episode works as expected and other lessons plays without a video (only audio).
I realize first lesson's length is smaller (17 min. versus 40+ min.) than others, is there a video podcast size or time limit for iPhone exists and if so how can i bypass these limits?

The standard itself doesn't have these limitations, but each "device" may have it's own limitations that you need to be wary of. For example, I can encode an .mp4 video file that will play back fine on a Playstation 3, but, due to it's bitrate, will not play back on an iPod.
However, any app on a computer that is listed as being able to playback MPEG-4 content will recognize it as such and play it back.

Adobe Acrobat X - convert outlook email to pdf and include attachments as pdf

Is there a way to save an Outlook email as a PDF and include attachments as extra pages within the same PDF? I know I can convert an email to PDF and it will include the attachments as links. My end users feel that their clients won't understand the link feature, and/or the paper clip on the side pane. They'd rather convert an email and have it's attachments converted also, making the pdf an email message + converted attachments....all in one process. The only way currently is to open each attachment and convert them individially, then combine the email pdf and attachment pdf together. Too many steps involveed there.

Email printed to PDF, PDF appears accurate in Acrobat XI Pro, when PDF printed to paper text missing

HELP!!!
I have text disappear from Outlook emails printed to PDF when I print the PDF files from Acrobat XI Pro to a printer.
Here is a sample png from the PDF file printed out of Outlook - all the text is showing.
However when I print the PDF from Acrobat to a printer, the document comes out of the printer with text missing as shown:
The Acrobat print window shows all of the text that should be there as does Acrobat's view of the document.
Also, if I save the file to an image, all of the text is there.
I have tried different emails as well as different printers and the paper printed copies of the PDF emails are always missing text.
Additionally I have tried coverting the PDF file to a PDF/A file and printing that and the same problems occur.
Please send some tips as to how I can fix this!

i am having similar printing issues with Acrobat 10.1.4.
in my case both PDFs made by me (from InDesign files) and other PDFs made elsewhere and sent to me are missing text when printed to paper -though they look fine both on-screen and in the preview pane, as Katy noted above.
these PDFs print fine when i open and print from an older version of Acrobat (9.5.2).
they will also print fine from 10.1.4 if i send them to another printer in the office, (a Dell Color Laser 3110cn), the printer i have a problem with is a Kyocera Mita KM-5053 - which leads me to believe that this is some kind of communication error between Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.4 and this printer, or perhaps a driver issue. ?
I don't believe it's merely a preferences/print settings problem as i've gone pretty carefully through all the dialog boxes that seem relevant and have had no luck in solving the problem. Also, the text that's missing seems arbitraty - meaning, it's not merely hyperlinks or certain layers or text in specific type faces that won't print -it's content in the same text box, where other text does print, and it's blacks and colors and various point sizes - in short there are no easily discernable unifying circumstances among the text that does not print.
obvioulsy an easy work around is to just print to the other printer or use the older version of Acrobat, but my concern is more that other people may be experiencing the same issues with PDFs i send them. so if it is a problem in the way i'm generating PDFs (although, as i said, text is also missing from PDFs i have received from other people and printed) i'd like to fix it quickly, so that people trying to print my PDFs don't end up with critical content missing.
i'm on a 2008 MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5, and using the Acrobat (X Pro v 10.1.4) that came with the CS6 Design & Web Premium package - although i'm looking at it online now and it's listed as Acrobat XI Pro..
any input you have would be much appreciated.

What is the Maximum Size limit for a Mailbox?

I am a newbie to mac, before i use pc and Ms Outlook for the email application.
Can anyone help me on these question:
A. What is the maximum limit of a mailbox size?
(in Ms Outlook, the max size of the .pst file is 2gb, we will have problem when our email mailboxes getting close to 2gb.)
B. If the mailbox reaches the max. limit, how can we archives the old email?

You can't change it, and I suspect few email providers would allow a file that big. Consider uploading it to a service like Dropbox, then email the link allowing the recipient to download it.

Size limit for flar file with Sol 10 WANBOOT

There seems to be some kind of a size limit for flash archive files used by wanboot. When I try to wanboot jumpstart, I get the following:

ERROR: HTTP server returned an invalid archive file size: <-1256985017> bytes
ERROR: Invalid HTTP headers were returned from the server
ERROR: Flash installation failed
Solaris installation program exited.
The flash archive is about 3GB. I'm doing the WANBOOT using the "boot cdrom" work-around, because the V100 I'm jumpstarting doesn't support the newer OBP parameters.
If create a new smaller flash archive like so:
mv sol10.flar sol10.flar.old
dd if=sol10.flar.old of=sol10.flar bs=1024K count=1024
cutting the flar down to 1GB. Then I do the wanboot. I don't get the error, and the jumpstart proceeds. Of course it would eventually have a problem when the cpio file reached premature end.
So is there a prescribed limit to flars with WANBOOT. I'm assuming it's 2GB, but if so, why?
No I haven't tried creating a compressed flar: that's next.

Any help would be much appreciated.hi. i spent a long time on this issue...and got it working reliably for more than 10 gb flars.
there are two issues- 1) apache must be 64 bit capable, and 2) you need the latest wanboot miniroot, for solaris 9 and one for solaris 10. i worked for a different division of a major car company based in stuttgart (take a guess) than i do now, and we eventually received the support we needed from sun, through the early release program. i do not know any details about if, how, or when those miniroots are otherwise available. at some point, i can only assume they will be generally available to all, if not already.
if someone knows more about this availability issue, i would also be interested in this issue.

also the two servers encountered the issue were mailbox servers and part of same DAG , it worth mention the alert were resolved

EIM 4.3.1 - Length limit for email alias

Hi all,
Is there a way to increase the length of the email address when creating the aliases? What we found is there's a 40 character limit for that field.

You have me at a disadvantage as I only know Exchange with EIM.
A server rule in Exchange can copy and forward, or simply forward. In the latter, the original no longer exists in the first inbox. When the agent replies, EIM can use the original mailbox as the one to reply to. The EIM mailbox can be hidden from the customer.
Doing this provides lots of useful things. If you have a number of original targets you can collate them, or you can split emails based on server rules to different inboxes that EIM watches and easily route to queues based on aliases. Lots of options.
