How to add New Menu Bar using Custom.pll

Hi All,
I have developed a form based on the Oracle Apps form.For standard form i have to add one more menu bar in tools menu using custom.pll,i'm using 11.5.8 version.
So can any one help me in thi regards as i'm new to this custom.pll,How can we add that New menu bar item and how can we open the custom.pll
where we have to write the code and all the stuff.Which we have to use like wise.
If any one is having the code on the regarding u can please pass me.
Help me in this as it is urget to the client.

As i was new to the Custom.pll,i have opened the custom.pll throught Form Builder.I have found the packages of the Custom.pll,I have to add new Special Menu to it.If u have code can u please give me simple example.
If I press that Menu I have to open New Form that i have Customized.And also to get values into that form.
Can u please help me in this give me simple Example.In Which trigger i have to write the code and all the stuff....

Need Help on Custom.pll

hi all,
Pl tell me how is it possible to disable the Save functionality in the Forms Using Custom.pll. My requirement is to see that the SAVE functionality should not happen when the user uses CTRL-S from the keyboard.
I am able to disable the SAVE button from the Menu but I want to do the same for CTRL-S keyboard action.
Is there any property that can be used at the forms level from custom.pll to disable the commit action.

Custom.pll library?

Hi guys,
How can I use custom.pll library to checking those newly add records on screen? Here is the example:
1) There are 2 records on screen from interface in Purchase Order Form
2) User manual add 1 record in Purchase Order Form
3) When use save the record, I want to do some checking for those record added by user manually (should be no. 3 lines in this case)
How can I perform this checking in custom.pll library?

Custom.pll and custom.plx location changed

Hi Friends,
I am having Oracle Apps 11.5.9 and i had the custom.pll and custom.plx on $AU_TOP/resource and make the changes there and it's working fine.
Now suddenly the changes made on the file is not refelecting so i searchd the server and i could see another copy of custom.pll and custom.plx on the $COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts and the changes being made on this files is getting reflected(not the one from $AU_TOP)
I don't know how this change happened.
So Please let me know how to change the location of custom.pll and custom.plx from $COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts to $AU_TOP/resource?

How did you verify that the one which is used is the one under $COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts?
So Please let me know how to change the location of custom.pll and custom.plx from $COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts to $AU_TOP/resource?Copy the CUSTOM.pll file back to $AU_TOP/resource, and compile the file again. Make sure both files (CUSTOM.pll and CUSTOM.plx exist under this directory), and bounce the application services then.
Also, delete all CUSTOM* files under $COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts (take a backup of the files first).

You can create a trigger(when-list-changed) for each list item where you could:
1.recreate the record groups and then use POPULATE_LIST so you can hide the selected values. In forms builder online help there are some good examples about create record groups dynamically.
or
2.you can perform a validation instead of hiding the selected values. If the values is already selected the display a message 'Value already selected....'
Second option is much faster(only an 'if clause')

CUSTOM.pll missing after applying patch 6167056

HI ALL,
i have applied patch 6167056 successfully, to carry on the post install step to Copy the CUSTOM.pll to $AU_TOP/resource and re-generate the CUSTOM.plx
i cannot find the CUSTOM.pll at 6167056/backup/resource

i had stopped the apps services before applying the patch. Before apply the patch i has check the location /6167056/resources

should copy the CUSTOM.pll to regenerate using f60gen module=CUSTOM userid=apps/<appspwd> module_type=LIBRARY
OR can i skip the post install step because there were no customization applied?

Change in custom.pll

Hi All,
I am facing a problem when making a change in custom.pll and the form. I have made a change in the custom.pll and then re attached the library in the form. Now i FTP the form and pll and compile first the pll and the form and then move these plx and fmx into a specified folder and when i open the form in application my change is not reflected.
Is this the right way i m doing. Also, I see that the package in custom.pll is never called in the form. Is this right. Do i need to call the package that is in library in form.
Also if i do this then it will be no longer a vanilla form. It would be changed to a custom form???
( is it possible that the package is automatically called in the form that(package) is defined in pll, i ve never done such a thing, i am aware that we have to call the package in the form as well, but not much idea when working when EBS)
Any help on this would be appricated.

Open ur library and make ur changes. Save it and Compile it.
Re-Attach ur library 2 ur form and compile ur form.
put newly generated .plx and .fmx files at ur desired location.
if ur changes still doesn't reflect then delete .plx and .fmx files from the location where ur r compiling these.
I guess with .plx u need to put .pll at ur desired location.
How would u call a package....?? (I don't know it)
what I know is you can call a procedure, function or any stored subroutine
You can also call packaged procedure and functions
but how to call a package.

WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM in custom.pll

I have a requirement
In PO form when item is selected, the price should be populated from a custom table.
I tried populating price at WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM of item, but it seems that custom.pll does not capture WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM.
Is there any way I can achieve my requirement.

If you do not have a quote, then it might a little harder.
What kind of data is present in your custom table?
Can you create/maintain quotes based on the data and then use the quotes for creating standard PO?

Add additional to LOV using CUSTOM.pll

Form: CSIMEDIT
Block: CSI_T_PARTY_ACCOUNTS
Field: BILL_TO_ADDRESS
The LOV ACCOUNT_BILL_TO from the field BILL_TO_ADDRESS only has 2 columns but I need to add 2 more columns. How can I do it in Custom.pll?
The first column is site_use_id, the second column is party_address. Currently, I concatenated the third column 'status' with party_address, the LOV show both information. However, after I picked the address and saved it, I got an error message when I click on the LOV button again due to the party_address query only contains party_address and it is different from the LOV list which is containing the part_address and status. It failed the validation.
I also tried to use another LOV 'SERIAL_NUM' that has 5 columns. Then set property:
